Skyward Mobile Access

Would be a pretty good app if it didn't delete my registered devices all the time. I don't get notifications, because I have to re-register my device just about daily to receive the notifications. Just wish my devices would stay registered (until I deleted them myself), so I could rely on it for notifications... Which is why I downloaded the app in the first place.

It is indeed how it is advertised. At first I was greeted with a tedious log in process, which was super aggravating. Afterwards, the only cons I had was the irritating scrolling side to side to view your most recent grades. However, I also argue that this app 100% helps you. The app allows notifications when assignments are graded, missing, or removed from the gradebook! Unlike the browser, no notifications were given. Difficult to manage, but it totally helped me. Overall, 3 stars.

The app was working well until i made the mistake of updating it. Now it's not working at all. I sincerely hope it's a temporary glitch that will be resolved soon, but based on the recent reviews of others, it appears that is not the case. I've cleared cache and data and started over, to no avail. I can't seem to log in to skyward no matter what I do. And why, if I'm logging in via the app, does it ask me if I want to use the app or desktop? Please read all your recent reviews and fix ASAP.

After the "upgrade" I'm not able to login. I know my username and password are correct because I can login via the browser, but the app asks for "account" which doesn't appear anywhere using the browser. Also, just on the login page, there are no less than 4 typos. Your devs should be mortified.

Latest version is awful. Notifications do not take you directly to the alert. For example I get a notification for a grade and I click on it. It takes me to the last place I was in the app, I then have to manually go to the grades for that child, but I have no way of knowing what that grade was for without going through every single class until I find a grade that matches and assume it's the right one. In the past it was a direct link to the grade and was highlighted in the list to easily find.

Every time I put in my username and password nothing ever happens on my son's account. It just goes back to the main login screen. Maybe you could fix that so it actually works. Be nice to be able to actually log in. And use the account on the app. Not very satisfied at all. How come I have no trouble online but I come to the app and it's nothing but a hassle and never works? Say you fix the bug issue so people don't have trouble logging in anymore? Well then how come I can't? Fix the problem so

The app is useless and the website doesn't even work. Up until a few months ago you could log in online and access your paystubs fine. Now the login page doesn't load unless you're at a specific district building and the app doesn't work either. It's always giving an error connection timed out message. Please fix Escambia County's access issue.

Was a good app until I tried to log into the stupid thing today. It wouldn't sign in so I reentered my info but it still wouldn't sign into my account then. After that was tried I actually got locked out of my account on both the website and the app so that was a nightmare. I even double checked that the info was correct, and it was. Hasn't been working properly and the info was even saved correctly. Thankfully me being locked out got resolved but it was a nightmare.

I missed registration verification, paying enrollment fees, creating a food service account, and other tasks/messages because not everything shows up in the Skyward app. If you access Skyward through a web browser, all your information and tasks are there. The same things don't show in the app. Not even a message that there's something missing and you need to use the web version. So it looks like you have no action items when you actually haven't even registered your child for school. GARBAGE.

It's a nice app, but Skyward is way better when logging in through Classlink, like there's more features there right in front of me, instead of having to go through stuff to get where I want to. I wish the Skyward App was like that too. If I use the website, it works like Classlink, but what if I can't get on the website? Or what if I don't have Classlink, (like when I'm not on my school iPad) Then I can't check everything. So, I'm giving it 3 stars because I can at least check my grades.

This app is just very clunky. 90% of the time it won't let you into the actual app, and you have to go into the Web version, which sends you a notification and email about a new login. This thing needs a complete overhaul, as does the web version. It looks like it came out in the 90s.

Just doesn't work after I log in. All buttons are dead except login screen.

Used to be a great app now all of a sudden it won't let me log in I have to go to the website.

The absolute worst school app I have ever worked with, I always thought parent square was bad but holy cow these guys are terrible. I don't understand how this company can win a bid on anything, you would think it would be extra secure but no, it creates barriers where there doesn't need to be one. if you get a new phone or if you try to change your password (they require it frequently) expect to be locked out for extended periods of time. Terrible app

This app was really good. I was able to get on and see my child's grades, absences and any missing work. but for the last 2 weeks it will not let me log in. it keeps saying that there's some kind of connection error. I know I have the internet on each time, so that's not the problem!

Unable to log into the app. I needed to change my password a few days ago, and i did. App worked fine with biometric login (aside from things missing from app which are in the web version) until then, but now it won't even allow me to type in my new credentials. It prepopulates from my saved login info saved on my phone,but keeps saying that it doesn't recognize them. It won't even let me actually type it in. App feels like it's an old version from 2008 or something. Complete trash.

amazing app for keeping up with my child's progress !

The app was okay at first and let me access Skyward for my kids, but certain notifications never worked (like notify me of a low or missing grade). Then it stopped remembering my device, even though it is listed in my devices, so I have to do two step verification every time; a little annoying, but still functional. Now, I get an error message on the home screen that I don't have access. I can view messages, but it won't display anything else (like grades).

Hasn't worked in months. Then last week it worked for a day. But that's it. After login it asks App or Browser version. Neither works. Only the settings button does anything. Yet it keeps sending me notifications. Can't login in and see the details though. Ridiculous.

Feels like a poorly designed app from 2010, which makes it a borderline unusable app in 2023. It's slow, buggy, and has some obvious UI flaws. For one, if you get a grade on an assignment, it doesn't show you the grade in the push notification. You have to click on the notification which takes you to the grades for that class, and you have to find the grade yourself. This app having as many downloads as it has shows that software has to succeed once in the school system to stay there forever.
