Sleep Sounds - Relax Music

The app keeps cutting out in the middle of the night, even though I set it to no time limit, and the lack of sound wakes me up. Super annoying and I've been exhausted every time because of it. It is making me even more stressed than I am, which was why I needed the sounds in the first place: to de-stress. Otherwise, 3 stars for limited quality/quantity of free/with ad sounds (that I do put up with to the fullest extent), ease of use, and also mix and overlay sounds at different volumes.

I have Tinnitus and my way of coping is to have ambient sound. I have a sound machine at home but forgot to bring it on vacation. So I looked through apps and was horrified at the permissions required by other apps. Thank you for a simple to use and excellent app, that does not seek undue access to my personal and financial (yes, the top rated app required this!) data.

I love this app! I had another sleep sounds app that was similar to this one, where you can mix multiple sounds. I like this app because I can play the sound in the background and it doesn't sound like it's looping and the sounds are very peaceful. Although my phone came with its own sleep sounds, they didn't give me that many, so this app is better. Also, am I allowed to use these sounds for sound effects? I love the sounds so much.

In the last few weeks, it's been stopping all of the elements of my rainforest sound mix one at a time after only a few minutes, until I'm left with nothing but a little thunder. The whole reason this app works for me is that I can pick a bunch of different sounds of various pitches to mix together, covering the sound spectrum so that noises of similar pitches don't wake me. I'm such a light sleeper, this thing had been a lifesaver. Not anymore. Give me back my tree frogs and crickets and rain!

Now has intrusive ads. Takes too long to open to go to the sounds so I can sleep. Sometimes I have to reload the app because the ad doesn't allow me into the app. I unlocked all the sounds through watching the ads then after an update they are all locked again. Frustrating experience now. I don't need frustration while going to bed. Even now the app randomly stops making the sound in the middle of the night. I used to love this app. Now it's a horrible experience. Fix your ad experience!

I've written a review before, saying how much long ads are ruining the experience and the point of this app. writing it again, as I've uninstalled the app, after years of using it, because the length of the ads has become ridiculous. we're talking over a minute. I'm trying to go to sleep, not look at my screen more. Sadly moving to another app

I have a hard time sleeping without white noise, and this one has never let me down. No noise skip or ads to jar light sleepers like me awake, and you can choose a bunch of sounds and customize how loud each one is! The only ad is right when you first open the app, which I greatly appreciate! you can also choose pre-made sound settings if you prefer.

I really love this app. There's almost no ads (only one when opening the app), the sounds are great+layering is awesome, and it's free! My favorite feature is being able to save your own mixes. I set all of my sounds to different volumes until it's perfect vibes for sleeping (you can have up to 8 different sounds going in one mix). Also, you can get most of the "premium" sounds with a small ad (it's definitely not a necessity but having the option is nice).

A great app, very customizable! I appreciate that you can watch an ad to unlock sounds that are usually premium as well! Sometimes there's a little bug where a pop-up says that something went wrong with loading the ad, but when I close the pop-up, the ad loads and then I have access to the sound, so it's not too disruptive (and honestly, might just be my wifi, haha)

Flexible and customizable. Would be nearly perfect if it didn't shut off randomly over night. Even with the timer set for 12 hours, it will just stop. When I first got the app, it was absolutely my phone settings interfering with the app. But my settings now allow it to run all night. The random shutting off isn't a nightly occurrence, though when it happens, it's often 2 or 3 times before it stays active.

Tried to use this but the few free sounds available would only run for 10 seconds, then stop. Setting the timer did nothing. 10 seconds of sound. What the heck. I uninstalled it. Update: I discovered what the issue was. I paired my phone with a Bluetooth speaker so that I could hear the sounds better as I'm hearing impaired and for some reason, that was stopping the sounds after 10 seconds. I have no idea why. I'm changing my review to reflect that.

Where has this been all my life! I've had insomnia for 44 years. I came across an ad for another app I was going to try, but Sleep Sounds was suggested with better ratings so I tried it instead. I chose the airplane since I ALWAYS dose off immediately on the plane. I love that you can add on extra sounds! I added light rain and thunder. I felt calm right away and kept it on through the night. I usually sleep with the TV on. Nolonger. Can't wait to to try more sounds and will probably upgrade!

This app changed everything for me for the past year. I have sever insomnia and my medicine doesn't always help with it. I chose to pay for premium BUT you really don't have too. About half of the 50 or so sounds are free, and the rest can be PERMANENTLY unlocked with a short add. There are pre-set sound themes that can still be adjusted from with-in, as well at the ability to make completely custom ones. you can have a sleep timer, and once it hits the time limit it fades rather then abruptly stopping. If you like falling asleep to rain or thunder, there's no noticeable looping from those sounds. The app is smooth, simple, and easy to use. You could use it for a babies lullaby, or your own relaxant. If you chose to do premium it's only $10.00 a YEAR, but seriously, you don't need it to enjoy most of it's features. If you do end up getting premium, it's also very easy to cancel it.

This is a very nice app! It has many different sounds and music selections to choose from. You can also combine different ones to your choosing and control the volume of each one individually. I might suggest that they add a waterfall sound to their selections. I also wish they would organize the sound menu a little better (list all of the rain sounds together, all of the animal sounds together etc, regardless of weather or not they are premium level selections), otherwise excellent!

Perfection. I work remote a lot and have to sleep in strange places. Even after long and physically demanding days, I still have a difficult time falling asleep. I looked for this app after 40 minutes of tossing and turning through my allotted 4 hours to sleep. On my first try, I set a timer for 20 minutes and I don't think I last past the first five. I used this app for every night per week and it's still the sure fire away for me to get into deep, solid, restorative sleep. Get this app.

This app has become a wonderful part of my nighttime routine. It is customizable, includes a timer, has many sounds to pick and choose from, and anything that might be behind a pay wall can be accessed by watching a short (<5 second), SILENT ad. I fall asleep faster, and anyone with an ear for ASMR will appreciate the variety of colored noises to pick from.

There are a ton of sounds to pick and choose from which is great. You can even mix and match. However the sound clips are pretty short which I find very distracting. The app also crashes 2 to 3 nights out of the week which always wakes me up. I found a playlist of a train in the rain on Spotify for free with much longer loops and it doesn't crash so I'm canceling my subscription.

I love sleep sounds, honest review I am a trucker and the sounds help drowned out the sounds of other trucks and equipment. I have learned that 3 or more sounds work best and try to focus on one of the three. By doing so is almost hypnotic and puts me to sleep. I set the sleep timer and when the sounds stop I wake up. Or I know it's time to be up. Really an awesome thing to sleep to and have used this app for several years highly recommend. And fyi give it time and try to focus on one sound.

Great app, minimal ads that aren't irritating. There are ways to customize the sounds you want and you can get additional sounds and remove ads if you upgrade to pro. I have not done that I am pretty happy with the free version. There are timers that you can set and you can also adjust the individual sounds like an equalizer. Highly recommend as I'm getting used to using it every night.

So far, impressed. Already have a rain sounds app, yet felt this was worth a try. As mentioned by another reviewer, a locked sound can be unlocked by watching an ad (permanently, apparently) and several sounds can be mixed (up to 8, each at different volumes, and the mix can be saved, too!). Can use sounds on a timer (15-120min) or until you manually turn it off (stayed on, too!). Does seem to use a bit more battery than my rain app (from banner ads, maybe? -1 star). Not a deal-breaker, though.
