Sleep Sounds - relaxing sounds

Useful app for making some white noise like sounds while I sleep. All I really use is the rain sound. Update: I have one major complaint. Sometimes, the app works just fine and runs all night. Other times, it stops playing sound every 10-15m or so, which not only defeats the whole purpose but makes it counterproductive for me - I need the noise to drown out other noises that may wake me; and my headphones disconnect and announce this fact when nothing is streaming, potentially waking me.

I've used this app for several years now, and I really do love it. I would give it full stars, but within the last week or so, I've been having issues out of nowhere. I made a rain mix, and suddenly it will take out all of the sounds but one and then turn off completely. I made sure no timer was set, I redid the sounds, I went to my settings to make sure it wasn't being turned off by something there. If that can get fixed, I'd absolutely change this to 5 stars because it really is great!

I really enjoy the app and the ability to customize the sounds. However, I have run into a problem where every single night, it cuts off in the middle of the night. I downloaded this app to help with my tinnitus, so the sudden loss of the masking sound wakes me up with intense ringing in my ears. Not a fun way to wake up. No, I'm not setting a timer. I want it to play non-stop until I turn it off, or switch to my daytime sounds. Also occasionally have issues with the ads not giving the X.

This used to be a good app until the developers got greedy and switched to a subscription-based model. Now, ads pop up in the middle of listening, which is jarring, abrupt, and makes the app impossible to use without a subscription. I'd rather pay a one-time fee for lifetime use. I recommend 'White Noise' by TMSOFT instead. It costs $0.99 but has no jarring, interruptive ads that amount to jump scares. Uninstalled.

This app works great & has an insane amount of sounds! I prefer the white, brown, and pink noise in a combo for my needs (U can customize), but if you're looking for a lake, storms, rain, & everything in between, this app has em. The sounds are realistic & don't feel looped. Be sure to change settings to not let the battery control the app and it shouldn't shut off on you. $14.99 for a lifetime means no pesky subs to worry about (unless you want a sub, U can do that 2). 2 Thumbs Way Up!

best sleep sounds app that I've found. If premium wasn't $15, I would have bought it by now, and all it does is remove the already-non-intrusive ads and add a few sounds. highly customizable where you can create custom combos of sounds. only downside is you can tell when the sounds loop sometimes. Reviews mention that it cuts off randomly, but there's a specific thing in the settings that might address that.

Was absolutely my go to sleep app, always worked well, loved the fact you could mix different sounds and volume levels, my husband uses a CPAP machine and it was absolutely the only way I could get decent sleep and not be kept awake. That changed however in the last few days where, it would work for a while then it would just stop working, no sound, nothing to the point it would wake me up and then it took me forever to fall asleep again. had to uninstall and find something else. So disappointed

UPDATE-The makers have fixed my issues and offered me a free pass! great app! I paid for a year's subscription and have been very happy with it until the past month. Then I started getting ads and pop ups asking me to upgrade to premium when I'm already a premium customer. I have emailed with customer service several times but they're instructions make no sense and aren't working. the only other alternative I was offered was a refund. I don't want a refund, I want my subscription to work.

I've been using this app for years. A lot of other apps have limited time for the sounds, and when they stop, I wake up; this one goes as long as I want. Love it. (the heartbeat sound has the tiniest of delays when it starts over after beat 29. Just enough that I had to come up with creative counting patterns, finally just stopped using it.)

When it works, it's great. Looks good, and good interface. However, sounds fluctuate and stop completely for no reason far too often. When using this to help with sleep, waking up abruptly because the sound stopped for no reason (I assume related to ads trying to play?) is just not good enough.

Great, though some of the sounds have clear pauses before they repeat the sound bite...wish that was seamless. otherwise very happy. Update: the most recent update is so annoying. I like to listen to the nighttime forest sound, but now there's a daytime bird that chirps throughout. Since this bird is apparently a base sound, the app won't let me turn it off! 😡 NOT happy about that.

I used to use the tv but only a few were true black screen. and random ads would pop up and scare me in the middle of the night. this is easier. and I dont have to set the timer. I like the extras you can add in. and then the adjustment on the extras. I can make thunder more or less, louder or softer, rain drops can change sound. its great

This is a cool app. I have trouble falling asleep without some kind of sound, especially the sound of a fan. This app allows me to have the sound of a fan. My favorites are on here as well, the sound of rain, frogs and, my absolute favorite, thunderstorms. You can have it play continuously or put on a timer.

I've been religiously using this for some time now and it's improved my sleep measurably. It's wonderful, other apps should be like this. It's very easy to use and most of the tracks bring something meaningful to the list of options, so you don't have to listen to the same track perpetually. Most importantly, it does exactly what it says it does and doesn't try to rug pull you with "premium" subscription based options that withhold 90% of the content.

Love it when it works, quite annoying when it doesn't. Almost every night it will just randomly shut off, which wakes me up and kind of defeats the purpose. All settings are correct (background use and such). Oddly enough, it seems to have no hiccups when my phone is on airplane mode though, whatever that signifies 🤷🏼‍♂️

Normally sleep sound apps don't work for me but this one did. it's easy and I only had 1 ad and u can add sounds over a chosen sound and adjust the volume of it I have ocean thunder and piano and I fell right to sleep 10/10 would recommend this app to anyone. edit I forgot to mention u can make you own timer and they have timers already choosen that u can pick or u can just have no timer and make it go on forever.

I wish I could set the timer to 5, 6, or 7 hours, 4 is too little and 8 is too long most nights. It also quits sometimes after a couple hours (pretty rare though). Other than that, this app has been perfect for helping me sleep great despite noisy neighbors or a restless partner. It doesn't use much battery either when I'm not charging my phone throughout the night. Super customizable sounds, free with no full screen ads or any annoying features or bugs of any kind.

awful ads- loud, long, annoying videos when I'm trying to play noise to fall asleep. they don't come on every night but frequent enough that I'm done with this app. it's unfortunate because the sounds on the app are great. Android closes the app occasionally in the middle of the night so I got an Lectrofan device to skip the phone.

I’ve been using the sleep sounds app for years, and it’s still my go-to. It’s simple, easy to use, has a lot of customization options, and even with a free account, the ads are minimal and only at the startup (so they don't interrupt a peaceful night b sleep). Honestly, it has probably saved my marriage—my wife can finally drown out my snoring! Highly recommended for anyone who needs reliable background noise to sleep better.

This is the perfect app for JUST white noise, I've tried a lot of them. There's a good number of free sounds, and you can make your own mix also for free. A lot of other apps are doing too much: guided meditations, sleep tracking, yoga, etc. I just want white noise, and to have some decent options not behind a paywall. This one is it! Uncluttered, user friendly, and customizable. I actually paid for the subscription bc I've been using it every night for a couple of years thought it was worth it
