never had a bad experience till I finally earned a free pizza. I put it in my cart checked out and realized it never applied. I went to re order my food and had to spend more money cause they cant accept an order for $0. fine. well then within 1 minutes of placing the second order from my first it took the resturant 13 minutes to see it. my first order sat for 20 minutes before the second finished. this is why it makes sense to just call the old fashion way.
terrible. there's no way to accurately track or follow up on your order. the order status never changes. you contact support and they basically tell you what you already see on the screen which is nothing..i wouldn't use it at all if the restaurant i wanted to order from didn't refer me to the app to place the order. it's awful. id rather call and go pick it up myself.
I downgraded this app from five stars to two. Thiis USED to be the best ordering app around. They've jacked up their service charges, They jacked up their delivery fees, and you can barely redeem their "free pizza" because very few of the places actually participate in the program. At this point, it's actually cheaper for me to order from other apps. On top of all this, they change the user interface on the app and it's absolute garbage now.
Absolutely do not use this app. I placed an order that somehow the restaurant never got. the app indicated to me that the order was received and would be delivered within a 45-minute time frame. an hour and a half later I did not even receive the food. because the vendor told the customer support person on the app that I would get the food eventually, customer service told me that they would only compensate me 10% of the subtotal. that was about $3 off of a total charge of over $50. Don't recommend using. My order was marked delivered, I tipped well, and nothing was done about it. Update: Tried it again. 2nd time no delivery. I watched as the driver drove the opposite direction on the app. He was even texting me that he was on his way. I've got his number too, he was nice enough to tell me he picked up my pizzas.
I'm bringing my five star review down to one star. This app used to be great. I've placed many orders without a single issue, but a few months ago, everything changed. I started getting couriers who would cancel my order after taking it or take 2+ hours to deliver. And now, Slice allows you to order from a store that is closed, and then *automatically* reports that your order was picked up when it wasn't. I had to contact Slice to find out I wasn't getting dinner tonight. I'M DONE.
Absolute garbage. Had to wait over an hour past my confirmed pick up time. Support provided the most pathetic excuse: the late order was because they were busy, implying they can only fulfill orders promptly during off-peak hours. When I order directly from the same restaurant there are no issues and they will tell you if they cannot meet a time. Support offered $10 back for an order which was almost 100 dollars. This is the service you can expect from a garbage company. Don't bother.
Horrible app! You pay their service fees and you are not even guaranteed to get your order. They use a 3rd party delivery service. They show it tracking on their app but the have no contact for the driver. I have had them be hours late because they couldn't find my house even though they drive by it 5 time. I finally had to go chase them down. Now I have nothing they told me it was never picked up and they don't have anyone to pick it up. But they sure took my money!! Don't waste your money!!!
I literally cannot imagine a worse possible app. Communication and tracking with the restaurant is non-existent or completely inaccurate. My order was picked up by the driver and never delivered, and I ~shockingly~ never received any update on the app, via email, or via text (all of which I received after I had to call to refund my order). If you're required to order through this app save yourself the time and effort and pick it up yourself or do literally anything else.
I've used it twice. In both cases it reported an error related to saving an address but still then reported success on submitting the order. In one case the staff at the pizzeria were unaware of the order, then found it when looking on another computer. The app reported a delay because the place was "busier than usual," which turned out to be a lie, as the place was virtually empty. Given the extra fee charged on orders to use this option, it's unimpressive.
Though it is nice to have a seperate place to order just pizza from, the app itself is lacking. 1 - there is no way to sort the locations offered. 2 - the last 2 orders I've placed give an estimated time for the order to arrive. Both times, this estimate is WAAAAAY off. We are talking 15 minutes or more. 3 - after you place the order, you are left in limbo. You don't know if your food is done, out for delivery or delivered. I have to call the location to find out where our food is. Needs updates
I tried to make an order with my free redemption. However, the establishment didn't accept the order. I have tried getting that redemption back for 3 days, to all the restaurants, I had prior to trying to use it. They offered credit, which would be less than the pizza I would order! It's also more expensive than other deliveries offered and very few pizza shops even participate anymore. it's hard to tell since they make it impossible to know until you add items in the cart.
Tons of spam like, "You like pizza, you should order now!" Daily, sometimes more. I unsubscribed to all but promotions and that helped, but it's the same: no deals, same empty prodding. There are deals but they don't promote them? It is cheaper to order than other apps (if there isn't a promotion). Restaurants need to participate in the rewards program and you can't tell which ones do until checkout. Search only works by restaurant name. Would be nice if I could search for calzones or pasta.
Nothing special. No discounts from any of the places I've ordered. Actually charged me .95 for the privilege of shopping local. Thanks. And only one credit per order, not per pizza or $ spent. Then,by the time I've ordered enough to get a free pie, my points have expired. I try to avoid this app when I can. There are times when it's convenient though.
Used it to order from 2 different pizza stores. Did everything through the app. No waiting for someone to pick up the phone or being put on hold. Quick and easy to use. Displayed full menu with prices. Choose between pick-up (which what i did) and delivery. Pizza was ready when I got there (app tells you pizza is done and even has map). 2 thumbs up.
App won't let me check out until I enter a pick up time, but it won't let me enter a time now. The pay button doesn't light up until I enter a time. Very frustrating to enter an entire order then not be able to complete it. Also, when the pizza place is running behind, the app doesn't send me the time update which makes me have to wait on my order once I arrive. Waste of time. I really can't think of a single food order app that works well or all the time. "Convenience" will be our downfall.
The app is easy to use and relatively well laid out. However, one thing I have noticed is that they will give an estimated delivery timeframe on the restaurant's order page, but then immediately increase the time (sometimes by 30 minutes or more) immediately after the order is placed. I do realize occasionally things may happen, but this has happened on my last 3-4 orders from different restaurants. Please attempt to be more accurate with delivery times advertised before ordering.
They canceled my order and because it was marked complete there was nothing they could do. I'm a diabetic, I live less than 1 mile from place I ordered. They don't have GPS tracking so I can see where or if my order is on the way and no pics to verify where or if they dropped it off!! If I wanted to go to the location to pick it up I wouldn't pay the delivery charge!! I contact customer service and it takes 5 minutes between texts to respond. Don't use, if you don't have to!!
I have never successfully placed a single order on this app. Many food items on my local restaurants' menus are missing on the app. The one time I found every item I wanted, the app prevented me from checking out because every time I selected a pickup time, it deleted my answer. It is more convenient, more reliable, and cheaper to place orders by phone call.
Billed twice. It was the app's fault since there apparently isn't a way to make sure the order actually went through before you are charged for it. then you spend half of the day emailed three or four different people who the tell you that it's on you to chase down your money. what a joke. no convenience in that for someone who doesn't live in the town where the store is located and works 45 minutes away! I've been working with customer service who said I would receive a refund. I haven't received it yet so I'm leaving this review up. There should be some way for the store to accept or complete the order. It wasn't the store's fault. I was there and I saw the app spinning away. It may have been issued but it isn't in my account. I'm not stupid. If I had seen there was an issue I would have notified someone then. I balanced my checking account yesterday and saw it then.
