Coupons are amazing and when the app works it works. But unless you open the app after your location service is already on, it will bring a pop up saying something along the lines of "for best accuracy please turn on location services" This notification will not go away no matter if you choose "no thanks" or "turn on" but it will most definitely turn on your location services if you press "turn on" and still keep the pop up on the screen permanently. If this were to be fixed, 5 stars.
Update killed it! I have to go to the mobile website in my Chrome browser to search for stuff in the store. I waited a couple of weeks for them to fix it but they have not. The website works. I get an error message that "Something went wrong, please try again" every time I try to search for anything through the app. I uninstalled it and I reinstalled it. Did not help.
Wanted to like this,but when you open it up, it automatically carries you to a page forcing you to choose how you like to shop: delivery, in store, or pick-up. No way to get out of it except closing the app out. That alone is very frustrating. So finally I choose a Store location, just to be automatically directed to the "Home" page, & an "Error" button keeps showing up and doesn't go away no matter how many times I "Refresh" that page. That store exists, I still go shop there. Horrible Glitch.
I have signed in a lot of times and get kicked out and have to sign in again. This same thing happened before I went to your store S&F and have had stuff in the app checked off and ready to have the cashier scan the bar code on my phone and have to resign in again and get kicked out again and again and have to keep signing in. Mind you there are other people always in line when this happens. I am at the point what's the point of using your app if it still doesn't work? Please fix your app...
the mobile app is still giving the error message" something went wrong, please try again" when trying to search for a product or add to cart. yes, you can use it on your laptop, but sometimes you dont have access to one, and you are on the go. there needs to be a fix for this. this has been happening for months! ive updated, reinstalled, same thing. i.t. please help! so dang frustrating 😤
I'm using the s&f app on my pixel 8a running android 16. for the most part, it is easy to use, at least for finding and ordering your stuff, and even paying. no way to exit the app other than swiping down, pulling down notifications then selecting the circle for the home screen (annoying - would like to access home circle from app) pick up is another story altogether. there is no way through the app to let the store know I'm on the way, or when I've arrived, or that I've picked up my stuff.
I bought a sale item and should have saved $10. I didn't realize until I got home that even though the cashier scanned my phone barcode I didn't get the sale price. I'm more annoyed because I installed this app just for the sale. In spite of being annoyed, I appreciate the developer's assistance in this. Also, the employees at the store assisted me as well, finally fixing my issue.

The app has not been functioning properly since a recent update. I can't search for products, unclipped coupons don' always show up, &more, so I uninstalled & reinstalled it. Not good. Now I can't even clip coupons. S&F is our family's primary grocery store. In the Eastern Sierra, we have Vons, S&F, and a newer Grocery Outlet, which I have never entered. My device is a Samsung S24 Ultra with the most recent updates available. Please make the coupons load & clip faster.
I like Smart and Final for the price a nd quality. The website needs work. It would not apply the code for free delivery even though the initial page said it was applied. The message, "Some items are not available," only gave the option to delete without stating what the items were. On some prior orders, the site would not accept any valid credit card. Twice I have had to call customer service multiple times to get my order at all. Apparently the shopper started the order, then left.
This is the worst grocery app of any market out there. It never works correctly. I can't clip digital coupons because it gives an error. I can't see what's in my cart because of banners/unmoveable sections such as the total and tax. It leaves a sliver for viewing the items. Most of all im just frustrated that I can't clip the coupons, so I won't be shopping here anymore.
Wow. The updated app is TERRIBLE: 1) Makes me log and update my store each and every time I open the app. 2) Membership bar code is difficult to quickly locate on app during checkout. I've missed out on digital coupons due to not wanting to hold up the checkout line while logging onto the app and searching for my barcode number. 3) Clipping digital coupons is very glitchy and laborious. After clipping a coupon the app goes back to the top of the list so you have to scroll all the way back down.
I never download apps with low ratings such as yours, 3.3! I ordered groceries for an 8 p.m. delivery this evening and didn't receive them. When I went into the app and looked at my list, it showed that it wasn't processed. It gave me a choice of ordering the list again which I did. So now I was charged double and can't get the delivery until tomorrow. Unfortunately for me, I depend on grocery deliveries because I can't get around very well. Your app is very poor and very difficult to use!!
The worst. No pick up option, glitchy, slow, erased my saved list, no record of items ordered but not received, poor search function.... and for some reason I can't order eggs! When things I know the store carries don't come up in the search, is it because they are out of stock, because the search didn't work, or because you can't order that item online? The app gives no indication. (Galaxy S10)
Really complex navigation. Too many steps to select the item, and then clip the coupon. Need to go to a different menu to select the clipped coupon and lastly a third menu to get the barcode to show the cashier. It is obvious that the company is not interested in making it easy for the consumer, especially when waiting in line at the cashier. Bad consumer app. I wish I can select -5 starts.
I shop Smart and Final for some items regularly because of the quality and reasonable price. But the advertisement of 15% off in addition to the sales price in store display and email is misleading and fraudulent. When the cashier scan the code on my phone, the price on the items being advertised is only 15 % off the regular price, not in addition to the sales price. I had to argue with the shift manager, who reluctantly credited me the discount price.
This app is a rip off. It spins in the grocery store upon opening, takes forever to load if you click on anything, you cannot search for products & If you do find it..its listed incorrectly. Soda is the worst! The first time the cashier had to take my phone to find it and then said Oh you don't need it for soda, next time I again had to hand my phone over to a stranger! The 3rd time again...the employees can't figure out how to use it. 4th time...I was overcharged. I didn't receive the discount.
This app sucks, plain and simple. They make you use digital coupons to purchase certain sale items, then the app doesn't work when you need it to, causing problems while at the register and all of the shoppers behind you getting pissed off at the hold up. Drop the app off you can't have a working app, and keep it simple. Makes me not want to shop here at all anymore, it's a chore to do so. 0 stars
This app is useless. I am never able to actually use it. I was finally able to reset my password today (the link kept not being there to click on) and then when I went to log back in, it told me I had the wrong password. When I commented about it to the cashier, the lady behind me complained about the all too, and then, so did the cashier.
I've had the app for a couple of years. This NEW revamp is HORRIBLE. I've had to uninstall and reinstall -we will see if it loads now. Couple of major issues with the revamp: 1. The "list" process sucks now. It sends everything to the "default" list, one that I did not choose, nor can I change it. 2. The need to completely log in each time I open the app, even if it actually shut down on me in the middle of my shopping in-store. 3. The "location" servicing does not work at all. TERRIBLE FIX IT!
Read reviews before installing. Likely the worst app I have used. I spent 10-15 minutes in the store trying to get a digital coupon for $1.99 off coffee creamer. Kept resetting password only to be told my new password was invalid. When I told the cashier about my experience, she just glared at me and rang up items at full price. Zero empathy, zero suggestions and zero help. I long for the days of simple reduced prices. Having a sale you can't take advantage of is the worst. S&F should scrap this
