I can't even upload a resume to make my profile updating easier. When I try adding my current position you can't freetype it, you must select from the drop-down menu....... Which doesn't include anything near my title. So I can't even add my experience, and I'm not about to demote myself via title on a job searching app. Should be a simple form to fill with whatever words I please. If I could rate as a negative 5, I would. Pointless. Uninstalling.
When you click the apply button, nothing happens. When you search for a job, the previous search is what comes up for a few seconds. When I go to another app and then come back to snagajob, the app restarts again and what ever I was doing is gone. Also, I do not like the automatic resume feature because it barely has anything. I would rather upload my own resume and then attach it to applications instead of it being automatically done.
Absolutely amazing. The app was quick and efficient, it was easy to apply and I got a job on the second day of applying. Already scheduled for orientation! I really reccomend it for young teens who need a first part time job or adults who are looking for something to help pay the bills. And with the various filters, you can look for something that you want in your area without having to scroll through the internet.
I mainly use indeed so I figured I could see even more jobs and hopefully a variety if I got snagajob. Nope. I can scroll on it for 5 minutes and it's the same 3 or 4 jobs/companies repeated over and over and over and over. Super annoying and inconvenient. Even the setup of the app is unattractive and not especially user friendly. Definitely not worth taking up space on my phone.
Frequently logs you out, app sometimes won't open, and there are too many specialized jobs listed (for things like teachers, medical professionals, scams for "survery takers," and often 10-20 truck driving positions back to back). There are so few real offers listed, and the listings are never updated to show when a job has already been filled. There's also no option to "show less" of jobs you aren't interested in. Needs more filters, too.
I liked the old layout better.. it was more clear and the 1-click apply worked MUCH EASIER. I am a bit annoyed that I there is no way to ensure that the DATE (newest to oldest) doesn't retain it's setting when I select it in the "additional filters" .. this used to be an amazing app, now's it's a bit scattered and I don't enjoy using it as much, as I feel it's become.a hassle
Won't let you select a location. App also attempts to track your location and apparently doesn't need your location to know about where you are. It shows me jobs based on a zip near me. With no location permission or permissions of any sort. Becofr accepting toc or anything. Like hell I'd trust a job from an app like this. If you got robbed, kids kidnapped, or anything else and wondered how they knew you were there. You downloaded snagajob, the serial stalker app.
I like the app most of the time. PROS: - Simple layout and design. - Easy to understand. - Doesn't force you to upload a resume, like other apps I've tried. - Reminds you to finish applications if you had to stop for whatever reason. CONS: - Won't let you report a listing if it's fake or the position is taken. - Some listings are months old, but the date posted won't show up. - It needs more filters. There aren't a lot.
I'd like it more if there was options to: block certain spammy listings, let me opt out of stuff I'm not qualified for, and if it would stop logging me out all the time. Like seriously, there's so many uber listings that it takes up half of everything, and I don't want listings for nurses and doctors, I don't have the qualifications!!!
Snagajob functions very poorly compared to other apps like ZipRecruiter and Indeed. When adding a position title for previous work experience, the app is not capable of allowing you to manually enter responses, which is a serious problem. I can't add 'Sales Associate', 'Independant Contractor', or personal assistant. There are 5 or less options that drop down, of which you must choose from. This is not only frustrating, but incredibly restricting..because I can't add valuable work experience.
No exaggeration the 1st 300+ (I stopped counting) most recent job listings are for 3 different companies total. Every position at every location is listed as a different job opportunity. 2 of the 3 companies are restaurants, and restaurant jobs are excluded from my search. These must be labeled as "other" jobs. Completely useless waste of time.
Outdated Job Listings So when I followed up on the job listings Snagajob search engine pulled up, meaning I actually went to the employer's official website and double checked to see if in fact that job opening exists. All of the job openings that I was interested in were either outdated, unavailable, or fake. IDK. This happened multiple times. Also the actual search results show totally irrelevant jobs.
instead of being convenient for the person trying to get a job, it's convenient for the peraon looking for employees. I have gone thru my share of employment options on this app and ive always had to go in to the place and leave my contact info a week later. The employers do not check the online apps unless you go in person to ask them too. They might as just have an interview in person because it would be much quicker. I've been waiting 3 weeks and I've checked on them 3 times. online=garbage.
I downloaded this app to find a job. My profile location is set to where I live. I have even made sure and saved it over and over, but yet it keeps showing me all jobs in a location that is over 2 hours away from me. Completely different area and county. I have even filtered it to jobs 10 miles away and it still just shows me jobs in the wrong location
If you're looking for an rudimentary, entry level job, this app is for you. Not to say their isn't crud on here (survey taker jobs, etc.), but it seems to be legitimate if you're looking for something in the entry level area, and and at least in my area, the vast majority of jobs are for restaurants.
it's a little different format than indeed but I was successful in loading my resume. and the jobs I applied for got back to me within 12 hours which that doesn't always happen on the indeed. overall I was very happy with the app. thank you for my job search assistance on
It works as long as it works the AI won't let me move forward with my filled out responses and like to put 5 stars though I've only been able to apply to a few jobs with this app. please fix it so I can apply to more places please.
I've always had pretty good luck with gaining employment through using Snagajob. It's always been pretty convenient as far as it saving my entire resume' so it doesn't take as long to continue to fill out more applications bc they've already got all your information saved from the last time you updated it. So it's definitely been a great help for me since I've been using it for the past 5-6 years. So thank you so much for creating such a helpful & reliable App/Website.
Pros: ? Cons: 1. Have to sign in EVERY SINGLE TIME I use the app 2. SO MANY postings are 30+ days old 3. WAY too many postings for Lyft and Uber, etc. If I wanted to drive for either company or anybody else, I would apply on their website, not look for that in a job listings app. I filter my search for REGULAR, part/full time jobs, NOT a "gig". Yet filtering for part + full-time work does not eliminate said listings. It's VERY annoying. 4. Approximately 75% of pay is WAY OFF, 2x-3x ACTUAL PAY.
Overall a great app for those that it applies too. For someone like my there was no jobs that was present that would work under my skill traits. The one major thing I didn't like I was trying to add skill sets to the app but wouldn't let me save them. But over all a great app
