The app becomes less and less convenient with new bugs. Capturing front of items does not read their labels, I always have to input it by myself, and this issue appeared several months ago. A new bug, if I add an ingredient to a meal, I can't read it's barcode, I have to add a separate meal which is inconvenient. Also, it would be great if I could load a picture with nutritional value to import it to the app, but it's impossible. And I can't configure info I won't to see on top of screen.

Works better than any other calorie app I have used epecially because i dont have to pay a subscription to use. It is easy to use. You dont have to worry about getting exact serving sizes because as long as you have an idea of how much food you have it is pretty accurate. I find using a scale handy. The photo feature is there but of course it isnt accurate just like all the other ones. Overall I have been using it for 40 days and has helped me lose 10+ lbs. The format has helped me be consistent.

When you create custom foods in the menu of the app, they don't appear as custom food entries you can use when adding meals for the day, only the custom foods you create and save as favorite inside of the meal registry feature can be accessed. Also, when creating a custom meal, you can't swipe and navigate the table unless you hit enter on the keyboard when you're done typing in the macro. Should you accidentally tap out of that box, it will close the menu and delete everything you've entered.

Buggy on Android. Entering foods using a voice description broke, the button to save adding new foods often doesn't work, sometimes the button is out of view and the sheet doesn't allow scrolling to it. Even as a paid account, the Android app on my Pixel 9 Pro got too buggy. I couldn't track my macros, which is the entire point. I'm downloading another AI food tracker instead. When this app did function well without bugs, the AI chat coach and daily recap reports (now deprecated?) were useful.

incredibly comprehensive. I was just looking for an app that provided a good and easy count on calories I was consuming, but it goes far being that. It calculates the number of calories burned in any exercise you perform, a count of how many calories you've gone over or under your target, Bard on age, weight and height. It also shows the nutritional value of what you've eaten, vs the target that's been set for you.

Great concept, poor execution. It works fine if the item has a bar code it recognizes, but if it doesn't you are going to be completely frustrated because the photo option is not accurate and the label option will scan but not alow you to move the screen up to save. So basically a waste of time. Don't waste your money or your time.

Why are they always changing things?! I've had this app for maybe 5 or 6 months now, and I have really enjoyed it. Especially not ever having to deal with ads!! I mostly used it to keep track of my protein and water intake. I loved the layout, everything worked really well. Now they've changed it all around. I barely recognize how to use it, and now I can't keep track of my water intake. Very disappointed, probably going to find a new app even though I've already paid for this, NOT HAPPY

As convenient as you may think the AI picture feature is it's horribly inaccurate and not worth the expense of the app subscription. Then when it comes to scanning barcodes half the time it doesn't recognize the food item you're trying to scan. Switched to an app I found superior and forgot I had this subscription as well. They force you to sign up outside the play store on their website so it wasn't under my list of recurring app subscriptions. Charged $40 for another year I won't use.

Finally started to care about my health/weight. Decided my focus was going to start with counting calories and was integrated with this app. Gave it a go 8 weeks ago and have already lost 40 pound. The app does have some quirks and I wish it had Google health connect integrations so it could pull other info from others apps, such as burned calories from my Fitbit app, but for now I just transfer them manually. Overall, it has been useful and I'll continue to use it.

they've sadly begun throwing an ad in your face every single time you try to log anything as opposed to once daily which WAS a nice compromise. that was the primary aspect that separated this app from its competition imo, so back to the drawing board. the barcode scanner is also bigtime hit or miss. often it'll scan something, briefly throw up the portion selection screen, and then say nevermind, we actually don't know what that is, despite just a second ago knowing exactly what it is! good shi

Not terribly accurate. Best if you have a barcode that you can scan. Even then, the nutritional information was often incorrect. The AI generated "review" of yesterday's meal blabs the same thing day after day. Not worth the money; I canceled my subscription without even asking if I'd get a partial refund. Customer service is ok when you need help, but snarky if you're not pleased with something. They are not the only show in town. My recommendation: look elsewhere.

This app works extremely well. With just a photo it can calculate and keep track of so much nutritional information. Gives you your daily totals and what your limit should be.for you specifics. Bar code scanner for packaged goods works flawlessly and you can also add notes to any photo so it can better identify the meals nutrition information. I love this app so much!

What's most effective about this app is something simple: you see photos of your meals along with calories, including in a weekly summary email. And yes, the AI will try to record what you ate, sometimes amazingly well and sometimes laughably poorly, so think of it as just a data entry assistant. Manual data entry should be more streamlined, though. There is a one week free trial (with subscription that you can cancel), and they decreased the price of a 1 year subscription from Google Play.

Until now, the best and fastest calorie tracking app I'ved used over other apps. Easy to use and understand. Calculates calories in your meal almost instantly with just one picture snap. If you need to adjust meals it allows you to edit add missing food, and even put notes for more accuracy. And that's not to mention the SnapCalorie support team's customer service is top notch, fast and reliable. They make sure you are cover with the best price for an app like this. Highly recommended!

Very helpful app. It is time saving but expect to make adjustments for AI accuracy if needed. My only complaint is that you need to tap your meal to add the calories to your daily total, rather than it being automatically added after scanning. This is a not a huge problem. But, there have been a few times when I forgot to tap the meal which led to me going over my calories later in the day because the meal I forgot to tap was not added to the total. Please automatically add the scanned meal.

So far, there are no customer service replies. Can't add prior body weights from previous days. Taking pictures of food is unreliable. describing food is often off on calories, sometimes by very large amounts. on an Android phone, the button for the barcode scanner and describe botton are right by the back button for your phone. So it's difficult for your finger to hit the right one. the app is often very slow to respond, or sometimes glitches, when you're trying to record your food.

Honestly, I liked using the app - I appreciated the ease of use, and the UI is basic, but fine. I just finished up the 1 week trial, but I really can't bring myself to pay $80 for it without being able to link to major health trackers for Android like Fitbit/Google Fit OR manually edit calories/macros in logged meals (you can only change portion size). It's just not worth it yet.

Regrettably, the app is missing too many basic QoL features that other apps already have, & calorie estimates are quite inaccurate. It also freezes when scanning a barcode and has to be force quit. Editing recipes, copying a meal from one day to another, adding a weight from a day that isn't today, tracking measurements, progress photos etc are all features that either don't exist, or are very cumbersome. I paid for a year... we'll see if it improves over time. Feels like a beta release now.

I tried several calorie counting apps and all of them lacked functions unless you bought the subscription. SnapCalorie is everything I wanted plus more. It offers several ways to input your food/meals using a photograph, barcode scanner, writing it out, etc. You get a water counter, you can adjust several goals: calories, nutrients, macros, etc. It's a great app

When I bought the premium version of this app, I thought it would be easier to use. It takes too much time to enter/log meals and then have to verify them. Also, I noticed calorie differences in some foods when using the barcode feature. It was only 10 calories more or less, but having to edit was a drag. Sorry to say all this since it could just be me. I understand that using AI is only going to get better and better it's just not perfect yet.
