This app is possibly one of the best examples of how fast an app can die. They returned the other content to the discover page, but there's still plenty of borderline porn content no matter how much try to hide these spotlight stories. Also, why add the find friends section on the chat when it's already on the profile page? It's redundant and intrusive, I don't care about talking to strangers, stop suggesting them. Furthermore, I'm NOT paying for something that used to be free for years.

It selectively refuses to allow you to hide certain accounts from discover, and it will not allow you to contact a human at snapchat to resolve the issue. I've blocked one account at least 5 times. If I try to hide it, it just says something went wrong, but only for that particular account. I've updated the app 3 times and reset my phone and everything. It only does this on accounts promoting their onlyfans. Edit: 7 months later and nothing has changed. I still can't hide it.

the app was always a fad that would die out eventually, but they got one thing right which was well categorized, by date, digital media. it was easy to navigate and did its job well. Changing your policy this late in the game to charge people for their own data, especially when it's the only reason most people still have your app installed at all, is it a great way to ensure that your app will die

Dumb app, extremely basic, annoying to use, but some people I know outright REFUSE to communicate any other way, so I'm here. My real issue is that today, I have been unable to load snaps, and several that I want to send just aren't sending. I also can't view my friends list at all. I've got a perfect wifi connection, so it has to be the app; what's going on?

I'd give more stars, but I don't appreciate getting the same notification over and over again. Even after fixing them to how I want them to be, I'll get the same notification about stories about 10 times. I can delete the notification, and as soon as I swipe, the same one pops back up within seconds. Ridiculous. The add music option doesn't allow me to hear the music either. I can't hear any sound while editing the photo or clip I'm trying upload to stories until after it's posted.

I have a Samsung, and used the app to chat with friends with IPhones so we can make groupchats, video call, or send voice memos. Unfortunately for me this app prioritizes ios, so I can always count on loads of glitches and bugs. I dislike the discover page, which you can't avoid since it takes up most of the screen if you go to view friends' stories. I HATE the creepy new 3D bitmoji style. An AI chatbot stays at the top of your inbox even if you never talk to it, and no way to get rid of it.

as a social media app, it's fun. however, I get recommended inappropriate content on both my stories and discover when I don't want it. I try blocking those accounts that show up on my stories page, but it straight up doesn't work - when I refresh the page, it recommends the account I just blocked. If you're debating getting this app for your children - DON'T. It's way too easy to start seeing really inappropriate/borderline 🌽 content, without even interacting with it.

Really frustrating when you record a voice memo, and it just disappears as you send it. It appears the voice memo freezes at 10 minutes, and at that point, it's cooked and it will never send. Seriously address this issue and I'll change my rating, but I can't say EXACTLY what I said before, especially when it's over 10 minutes. I had sent one and it got deleted, then I recorded one that was shorter, sent that, and recorded a part 2 of my memo, and that got deleted too. 5 recordings 45 minutes.

"My AI" cannot be unpinned or removed without paying for premium. It's just a scheme to feed you more targeted ads. Edit: It got worse. You *were*, in fact, previously able to unpin MyAI without premium so it would still descend. They have "patched" this. Now it is truly stuck at the top of the list. Imagine having a feature (not ads) so bad that you have to pay to remove it.

Notifications are very intrusive with no means to disable by catagory. (It's all or nothing) I don't want an endless list of people to ignore every time I open this app. It demands your full attention and time and I cannot stand that. I've since disabled all permissions, notifications and battery permissions, thus, my digital life is infinitely better.

I've been using this app since 2013. I would use it every day between keeping my streaks and watching stories. This past year it has really gone downhill. With the non-stop ads, even sent as messages, and now having to pay for half the things you used to have for free. I used to recommend this app, but I would hate to recommend something that would make you pay for basic usage. Now with them changing the memories storage, I will deleting soon since they do not seem to care about their customers.

I don't typically write reviews for apps, but this case has devastated me so very much. I have many memories (way over the limit) because of how long I've had this app. I've re-download it on tons of devices, texted, and taken several images on here. I find it absolutely ridiculous to charge people after many years of keeping it free. Especially for memories. It's ridiculous to give an unlimited amount of something and take it back. It's a hostage situation. "Give me your money or its gone!"

I've used this app for as long as I can remember, the early days. I have more memories than I can count from years back, priceless pieces of the past that Snapchat is now going to add a price tag to. I will delete the app when this change comes, my account, and I suggest if you are working with Snapchat, to start looking for a new job. You cannot put a price on memories. Download your data now!

Ok so I hate the fact that when I wanna create specific sounds from using video uploads I can't cos of copyright issues but when I search with the actual names of the songs/sounds it doesn't even bring it up at all and it's really frustrating!!! All in all I love the app no cap, it's one of the most convenient apps to chat on, but I hope you really fix the sound search problem... thank you💗

This is one of the most useless and obnoxious apps out there. Especially their ads on other apps. Edit: They can't even advertise right. One ad said, "Hey, it's Sarah," but the username it told you to follow was entirely different. 😂 Edit: I just tried watching short form videos on the app for once. The amount of ads played made it nearly impossible.

This was one of my favorite apps, the way snaps are saved and stored and organized was way better than any other app or platform I have. to suddenly be told I've used 40GB of my "free 5GB" is absolutely insane. because I was terrified I'd lose TEN YEARS of memories, I went to consider an upgrade and now it's saying it's not available. I plan to uninstall soon unless something changes

I've been using this app since 2013, the biggest reason why I've kept using the app is because of the memory storage. I got a notification that I'll have to pay to keep my photos if the storage exceed 5GB (which isn't much) That's just crazy. I've had friends delete their memories fewer than the 5GB limit and the next day their storage amount goes right back up so how do we know if snapchat is giving us the correct amount we're actually using. I really hope they reconsider this decision.

Ads ads ads. Another greedy miserable company couldn't allow us one good thing. You have to pay a subscription service for extra features, because of course you do, and get absolutely bombarded with more ads than messages in your feed. Un-installed at time of review and will not use it again. Allow a subscription for something extra and unique, not to make it somewhat relevant while you kill off the free version.

Probably one of the few apps that you can pay a monthly subscription for, and still get bombarded with ads! Dumbest thing I've ever seen. Save your money and enjoy the free, because you get just as many ads subscribing as you do without. It would be great just to do away with them after almost every friend's story. But no, you have to skip or get baited into clicking on the ads.

Reviewed this a long time ago as 3 stars, but things have gotten worse. They're starting to charge for storage over 5gb for memories. There also isn't a way to export all memories directly to your device, so unless I manually export all 12gb of media I have saved over the past 10+ years, everything's just going to disappear. I also get nonstop notifications that someone added me but it's always someone who's already a friend. I'd give it 0 stars if I could.
