This would be an ideal app for making device wallpapers from photos except for how the crop function is inexplicably limited to a small number of aspect ratios, and doesn't even include aspect ratios for Google's own devices. Really strange omission and such an easy thing to add that it's baffling that the app is so limited in this way. At least provide a custom crop/resize where we can enter the desired resolution/aspect ratio. MS paint has been able to do this for decades, it's not hard.

3 stars is harsh for a fairly good free photo editing app, but Snapseed has not improved or kept up with the times. It's been the same for the past decade. I would like to see a significant improvement to the healing tool. I would also like to see other editing options offered on other platforms. For example, Canva can edit the background and foreground separately, remove objects, expand the image, etc. Other than that, the tools the app offers are still some of the best out there for free.

I love snap seed! It's a pretty nifty little photo editor. It does a great job and has a wide variety of tools to use as well as a few filters. It works well and is perfect for those who would rather have one smaller sized app with the "must have" tools rather than a ginormus app with thousands of tools, most of which you would never even consider to click on. You can't add, like, stickers or make collages--stuff like that... But it's the best app available if you just need a general editor.

I've been using this app for at least 2yrs and have loved it! But the past couple of months, the app isn't able to consistently export/save my photos. I've uninstalled & reinstalled the app multiple times, made sure I have the most recent version, & checked my permissions. Most of the time now it won't export or save my edited photo. Then randomly, it will saves/export a photo. But the next photo I work on, it won't save/ export. Not sure what's happened. Sadly now, looking for another editor.

NO ADS !!! 5 stars for that ! I would offer this though...back in the day, when apps were called programs xD I had one that could filter out the patterns in a scanned image from a magazine, or newspaper. What we need now is a filter to get rid of the pattern imbedded in an image when taking a photo of a monitor. I used the grainy filter & that works...but the photo is obviously grainy. There maybe something better in the app already, I just haven't found it. Thanks, cool app. Lightweight too

Okay. They've "fixed" the uploading feature. You still can't easily access your files - "Recent" is a useless feature - but now at least Albums has my files. Unfortunately it's in a random order - not alphabetical, because why would anyone want that? - and it's mixed in with Photos Albums. Even worse, the app now changes the name of the file, so when you export, it's difficult to simply replace the original photo. Why do they keep making this HARDER to use?

Great app! However, it can be improved. The healing tool doesn’t erase things very well & you aren't allowed to adjust the size unless you zoom in & out. This is a similar problem when adding double exposure; I wish it had the option to make the eraser tool bigger or smaller. That way it can be more precise when erasing or healing an object. Another feature to add is the undo and redo button while editing at all times. Lastly, to allow you to increase or reduce the "Looks" sensitivity.

I like it very much. Especially the zero-loss of resolution after editing. 2 requests: please provide a means of adjusting font size (especially with the line text formats, which are always way too small compared to the rest of the text formats) & justify (instead of only center justify) within the text tool. Other than that, no complaints after 1 year of use. 👍👍

I'm going to try reinstalling this a third time.. I've loved using this app and the healing and brush tools have become necessary for the work I do in product photography. For some reason it's not saving my work. I've lost hours! How is this Editor's Choice? I do my edits, it looks like it's saving the work and then I get an error message saying couldn't save photo. I load photos from my Google account. If this isn't fixed soon it should be discontinued. The most important function not working?!

I've been using Snapseed for years and have never really had an issue. Until now. I can now only access images in three albums on my Android phone (camera, screenshots, downloads). I have multiple folders with photos in them I was able to access even yesterday, but now cannot after selecting "open." It was working ok, froze up, refreshed without warning; access to all but those three albums disappeared. Very irritated. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app, no luck. Extremely frustrating.

Best mobile editor I've found. It's a very powerful tool. It's pretty seamless on Android. If I had any recommendations for the developers it would be this: Let us control where/what folder photos save/export to in the settings, just like we choose our quality. Next, provide optional, relatable descriptions of each tool. There are many tools that are very powerful, but take a lot of figuring out. Otherwise, I love Snapseed. I use it professionally as am alternative to Lightroom.

Used to be great, but since they changed the file picking system, it's become really annoying to use. Before I could choose images from different apps and accounts with relative ease. That's gone now and if it isn't on my phone or main google photos account, i have to go download it first. Sure, I could go the the image first and open it in Snapseed, but then I lose file saving controls.

Dropped my review to 2 stars. It doesn't appear the app developers have tried fixing the crash issues, and they're only getting worse. Struggling with this recently. With certain features in use, the app crashes. Using the perspective and cropping tools in particular. Can't keep the app open long enough to edit a photo. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

While this does have some issues that, if addressed, it would make this a good app. The only way to adjust font size is to zoom in/out. The ability to flip verically/horizontally would be nice. More editing features would help. No need for cat ears, rabbit nose, or beaver teeth type photo editing. Leave that to the kids. I used this app to edit 1,135 photos & upload them to the cloud. This is a basic app that does the job. Fixing a few bugs in this would make it a real good app.

Please Please work more on this app, this has so much potential, but there are a few things that need to be fix, like the Healing tool needs a bit more help, an option to select a part of the image to replace another part would be great. Also the zoom in feature, I would love if the zoom in length wasnt so dependent on how much pixels the image has. And Another thing, sometimes during a long editing process the image sometimes losses in quality or losses the edits done to it. Fix this Please.

This is a great app. I'm a newbie when it comes to editing photos so keep that in mind. This has a lot of tools and filters to muck about your pics. Free. Ads? Maybe I've been using it so long and they're just the non disruptive ones down at the bottom of the screen. If so they're not there all the time. No video ads for sure. I use it as the editor via my Gallery app. Convenient. Perfect for what I want to do with it: crop, add tonal contrast. Maybe try a filter or two. Noob stuff.

This is the best app for photo editing software available for Android. the features here are almost close to what you get in photoshop. I use it for a wide variety of editing, and it delivers on all fronts. Have a few suggestions though: 1. support for .png images in double exposure 2. ability to provide extra editing in double exposure, like you have the ability to modify multiple layers. Currently it has very limited ability for double exposure. 3. Ability to save current work not just image.

Heard about Snapseed can add text to Google photo. Yes it can, but they add two long dash lines to flank whatever text you add. Why do they think all users want that? The text can be rotated and zoom, but there is a limit on the minimal size allowed, so I can't shrink it to the size I want. The text font cannot be modified, and once it is saved there is no way to modify. But this is minor issue. If u are like me wanting an app to add text, this is not for you.

I love it for the most part. I just really wish I could zoom in more for healing. I like to restore pictures and working on faces is very difficult since I can't get close enough to make the brush small enough to get to small spaces such as between the nose and mouth. I end up almost giving the people a 2nd nose, lol. It's common for an eye to show up on their cheek or forehead too. Quite frustrating. Other than that, it's my favorite editing app. :)

This is a great app for photo editing. A ton of tools, intuitive interface, plus can edit RAW photos. I would give five stars. But for some reason, the app no longer saves edited pictures into the /snapseed folder, and instead leaves them in "Photos". Which means if you have a lot of pics and are editing one from a while ago, you now have to sift through all your photos to find it. Might not sound like much, but trying to find many edited pics over multiple months is a nightmare. Please fix :(
