Loving the new update as it's more responsive and easy to read. Great work team. Just some room for improvement in terms of the manual input of prices - the keyboard covers the GTD which is not ideal. Also, it will be great if I can jump to the stocks page directly from my Order Details page by clicking in the title, an arrow button or something. Right now I need to search again after cancelling an order and wanting to re-order.

A Decent 0 Commission Fee Trading App, but Certainly Not the Best. The UI is sleek and aesthetic, but from a trading/investing POV, it's pretty impractical. It's a sluggish app, the app requires you to manually refresh the page in order to get a-minute-ago prices. Not to mention that the charts are actually difficult to look at. Transferring money could be sped up, especially for those who trade the US market. Suggestion: fix the sync and add more order options like trailing stop loss.

It's PAINFULLY SLOW even on an iPad! Loads when I press buy, loads at confirmation page, loads when order is finally placed. If you want a simplistic app, then go for it: skip all the useless animations, remove the entire "social" page which NO ONE CARES ABOUT. Seriously, I want to like your company but ever since that $88 monthly fee fiasco it's very difficult. Futu is a very complex app and they still have superior speed so I don't see why can't you make a simple, fast app. This is half-arsed.

Absolutely terrible. I have been waiting for 10 days for my account to be opened after submitting my deposit, despite the website mentioning it takes 3 days or less. It appears you're just stealing money, and I'm going to get the SFC involved. You can't even contact them via phone. 16/02/2021: After seeing this review, they rejected my application without any specific reason. What an excellent waste of time. They say they'll refund it within 3 days; let's see whether that'll actually happen.

I decided to use SoFi because it advertised itself as being free of charge. As of November this year, they have added a monthly platform fee of 30 hkd. Despite the fact that the fee is quite small, I find the change in policy somewhat alarming. I still use the app because it offers low fees. However, I will be more cautious in the future if there are further changes to the user policy.

Looks and feels like a kids app. Biometric login is somehow offered, but offen doesn't show up on login page. It seems there is an auto logout, but instead of telling you that, it shows 3 jumping dots...forever. Money conversion took more than 12h and an email complain to be executed. Overall bad impression.

Attracted by english interface and decent pricing but discovered a cheaper local alternative Futu (has english and lower fees). App doesnt offer much as a resource, copy trading is not useful since its based on the highest % increase portfolios and they usually only have one companys share and it was just pure luck. There isnt a live ticker either, chart analysis or news. All in all it is a very barebones app. The customer support is good, however they will need to get closer to robin hood.

App is complete garbage. Been using it for years, and the one time I need to log in and take advantage of a huge opportunity, it doesn't let me do so for hours, and even after logging in, I couldn't sell due to "errors". This is completely unacceptable for any trader - if this was during a crash, all my money would have been lost because I wouldn't have access. Stay away and use a more reliable service.

Not the best app. The thing barely works and it's filled with issues. You can get a stock, it goes up but still shows a negative earning. ie: bought $GME @170. Goes up to $190+ but shows me a -8% loss... You can send an inquiry in English and get a response in Chinese after 4 to 5 hrs. When you ask them to send you the same response in English, you'll get a broken grammar poorer than some 10 years old... You guys got a 1 star rating mainly because its a decent app to get a foot into trading.

I can't even sign in on the app. Only on the browser. The app tells me my credentials are wrong. But they are correct. MEANWHILE, the stock that lead me to this SoFi platform will not load/open for me to buy nor even just have a look at it, the system just keeps spinning the loading circle on the page for hours. And I just noticed on the SoFi in the browser, that it says, that INVESTMENTS ARE NOT FDIC INSURED • ARE NOT BANK GUARANTEED • MAY LOOSE VALUE. What is that supposed to mean.

Update on 25-02-2021: 3-month after account opening, their SoFi Points scheme has been revised, value per point will be significantly decreased starting on 1-03-2021 (merely 3 trading days notice in advance). Originally, based on the ground that all the points will expire after a year, the scheme was also supposedly NOT be changed, at least a year for everyone. But it seems they're intentionally reducing the value of the bonus ON TIME before most of the new comers can redeem it, by increasing the points needed for each redemption, or outrightly changing a share with much less value, or both.

Beware, the 14 days that they require to set up your account is a scam. After 2 weeks, I messaged for an update and SoFi hasn't even opened my application yet. Before you sign up to this app, go and see how long ago they have received any positive reviews. Please inform me how to request a cancelation and a refund, as the email line is also unhelpful in this regard.

Terrible. Placed a deposit as requested. Kept getting told account would be opened. Delay after delay. So I requested it closed and my money returned. Absolutely nothing back from them so I now have the the Securities and Financial Commission involved. Save your time and money and look elsewhere.

Worst experience! They turned down my application with the vague justification of internal cost concern and haven't even informed me if/when will I get my 10,000 hkd deposit back. They have even disabled my login so that I cannot reach their customer service team. How do I reach them now to get refund? I wasted so much of my precious time in their application process 😭 Also, after reading other reviews, I think race/ethnicity play a role if your application gets rejected or accepted. Terrible!!

I have been trying to open an account since more than a week now, and still didn't have my account opened. I sent mails and message to try to solve the problem but still no answer. I have also transferred the money to my SoFi account but I have no visibility nor reply on when it will be finally done. Really disapointed...

I had 270 units of USO before it combines. However, after combined, there are 33 units but then the 6 old units still hasn't return me the money as of today. It doesn't show it will return anytime soon in the account and the online support didn't solve the problem and keep repeating I owe them money due to USD 3 corporation action fee and she is still waiting for their execution broker reply... T+6 already. I don't get why their execution broker problem becomes my problem, but well, bad exp.

After registering, they sent an email informing that it will take 7-10 working days. It's now been 23 days since I've registered and deposited my money. I emailed customer service 7 days ago asking for an update which they have not responded to. Needless to say, dealing with this company has been both disappointing and incredibly frustrating.

Terrible experience. Submitted my application over a month ago and sent over 10K deposit as they require. They finally replied saying because HSBC blanked out my account number i have to submit another 10K deposit showing my account number!! Have sent 2 emails but of course no reply. I have zero confidence to do any stock trading with them and just to try to get my 10K back.

I usually don't rate apps; however exceptions must be made because there should be nothing that is risky with my application. The CS team should instead ask the client to provide or substantiate information that may be incomplete or problematic instead of just waisting time and rejecting the application... You guys can do much better seeing everyone is facing the same issues... As a business learn from your mistakes.
