Update 1/26 - More Issues! Can't check out, already at the restaurant. No longer worth it. Uninstalled and never going back. Very unhappy that 1/2 Price Drinks is now a reward you can't pair with anything else. Happy Hour pricing in the app was one of the best things about it and we stopped for Tea and Limeade all the time - of course we would order snacks, too. very unfortunate. Still many times where we can't check out due to "Technical Difficulties". Get it together, already. it's 2025!

This app almost never works anymore, after checkout it always takes you to a technical difficulties page. Instead of just applying half price drinks to all the drinks automatically you now have to manually activate the deal, but half the time that doesn't work either. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it still is slow and refuses to work properly.

app logged me out, said my login was wrong even though it was just linked to FB. Resetting password didnt work. had to use new email and set up new account. Lost a couple bucks in gift cards. Speaking of gift cards, was unable to ever refill those but wasn't enough to purchase with so was unusable anyway. They need to make the gift cards added to the app as a credit towards your total. Also always slow.

I don't like this app anymore. I don't know what changed and when, but even though I've selected my local sonic as my favorite and even though I'm always signed in, every time I use the app even to just see what deals are going on, it always asks for a location or else I can't see the deals. Not to mention there's no way to contact customer service about it. When you hit 'contact us', it just wants you to leave feedback from orders. Very frustrating.

I would give zero stars if I could. Used to be great for ordering things in a hurry, and the rewards were great. Now it's a nightmare trying to login, verify who I am at least twice, and then trying to get your order to go through. If you manage to place an order, don't waste your time going to one of the new mobile stalls (they ripped out half their regular stalls to make mobile pick up more "convenient"). The app won't recognize the numbers on these stalls, and sends you to a regular stall.

Just downloaded the app to look at the menu and when I was looking at the shakes.. it listed them as half price. so I decided I was going to order one and some fries. After spending way too long looking at the shakes and making a decision, I get all the way to checkout to find that the prices are wrong and shakes are actually full price. If items aren't actually discounted, then it should reflect that on the menu when ordering... not tell me it's half priced then turn around and say its not.

I'd give 0 stars if able. The app has ceased to allow any discounts or rewards to go through. There's slow loading times, errors when checking out, and the downright inability to include certain items, even if they're present at the selected store. The inability to stack rewards previously was also disappointing as other major food chains allow such. I used to enjoy this app for its convenience and allowance of certain rewards. With that gone and errors loading gift cards, it isn't worth having.

It's always slow and often unresponsive. When selecting your pickup location, it often goes haywire and gets stuck in a loop trying to load. Shows stores are NOT taking orders sometimes when they're still open, wasting time needing to call the on-site staff to get help and ask for the discount the app gives anyway. Would stop using it, but the discounts to drinks and other stuff are why I keep it, and the only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1.

So many glitches. It has told me my account doesn't exist multiple times when it in fact does exist. I am always getting errors. The most frustrating thing to me is that even if I have enough gift cards to cover it, I cannot use more than one nor can I combine them and it always seems like when I go to reload enough money from my debit to cover the rest there is yet another error. It shouldn't be this difficult to order overpriced drinks.

App has very little mechanical issues lately but I'm dropping it from 4 stars down to 3 because they got rid of the automatic half-price drinks. You have to remember to select it now as a specific deal or you Will be charged full price AND it cannot be used with any other deals at the same time. Sadly, it annoys me enough that I go less often now (I'm only 1 person, but if enough people are like me, Sonic will be losing money soon)

Worst app. I used it for a while, then all the sudden, when I go to check out, it "errors" out. I even deleted my account to try and remake a new one and all it said was "sorry we are having technical issues". Totally worthless app. I was going to Sonic literally twice a day because of the Half price drink on there. Needs to be fixed.

App is slow and seems unoptimized. When I open the app, sometimes it takes forever to load. When I go to checkout it takes forever to load. When I try to check in, sometimes it lets me and others not. All of these are applicable at every sonic I go to. Its not an Internet issue. The app is Franky painful to use. Pretty to look at but it almost is unbearable.

I enjoyed this app at times. the promotions are not stackable, but that is fine and the selection is good on the app. You can customize things easily. That said, the app would glitch and not see any Sonics in my area. Or it would not show deals in the cart. Recently, I had to log out because of a glitch and can no longer log in. I have spoken with support who had me email someone who never replied. It was a 3 star app with 2 star support, which makes it 2 stars for me.

last time I order from this no effort app, kept trying to force wifi scanning on me and when I finally managed to pick the store I was near it last minute decided to use another store 8 miles away????and I didn't realize until after the fact wasting my time and money. with the prices you guys sell your food this shouldn't be an issue don't have this issue with no other fast food app anyway, my 3rd and last time eating at Sonic

won't let me log in. has been this way for weeks. says to update the app and sends me to the Google store, but there's no update. this is in addition to the slow loading just to find out that it needs to be updated or you can't change the location or whatever else might be wrong. always something with the app. with so many issues regarding the app, y'all are probably loosing lots of money. just spend some and hire a good programmer so that you can retain your customers and win some back.

quite literally one of the worst fast food places, I would rather go to McDonald's than Sonic. The app in the past has been very very poorly done, as if they took a toddler and told it to code an app. Customer service/help is the worst I've seen either, I got an order and every single thing about it was terrible. Missing food, wrong food. literally save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Apparently Sonic app disables the ability to place an in-app order after midnight, even if the store is open for a few more hours. I have six different Sonics within driving range open and none allow me to place an order in the app after midnight... absolutely maddening. This is the ONLY fast food app that has this archaic restriction. Looks like I will be spending my $50 for my family's meals at a different restaurant tonight. Sonic simply does not care about customer convenience.

Soooo glitchy. There is no way this app has a 4.6 rating when it has nothing but bad reviews. I had to put my entire order in twice because it refreshed and completely emptied my cart while I was still adding items, then I went to check out and it said technical issues, and I couldn't check out. By that point we just gave up and got food from somewhere else. They need to fix this app, I read other reviews and I'm definitely not the only person having issues.

App is practically unusable. Utilizing the map is an act in futility, it often fails to load any of my payment options and the performance of the refreshed UI is terrible. I'd recommend it for ordering food for pickup- but by the time I've established which store I want to order from, my roommates have already received their order from elsewhere. Update January 2025- can't sign in to the app on Android, period. Don't waste your time.

Always buggy, and now they won't let me log in without giving them my phone number. Problem is, to do that they sent me an email with a link to change my personal information, and that link is unsecured. Not great when you're asking for personal information. If this was a friend's social media account, I'd guess they'd gotten hacked. Guess I won't be logging in until they change that.
