SoundCloud: Play Music & Songs

Its a way better alternative to Spotify. But there's a TON of songs that are only accessible if you pay, which seems a bit greedy to me imo. Apart from that, there's ads if you dont pay too, though thats whatever. My main issue is not being able to listen to a lot of the songs I want to. Entire albums are blocked. Kinda greedy. :/

I love how there are sped up/ slowed down versions of songs. I've used SoundCloud for only a year now, but I much recommend this over Spotify. It sucks how it's not on Xbox, though! Its also a bit annoying when you have to pay for the premium subscription for certain songs. But otherwise, it's a perfect music streaming app! 110% recommend edit: having lyrics would be super cool! the one thing Spotify has that this doesn't 😓 otherwise still doing me well!

Unable to cancel subscription. SoundCloud says go to the app store and I find no subscription there. Seems like they're trying robbing people of their money, or make it very difficult to cancel. Once again, I can't find the subscription and it feels like it's intentional. Would not recommend getting a subscription, unless you want to get a new card to stop paying thieves, which I have to do now. Decent app, YT is better. Big L from soundcloud.

it is hard to describe how unbelievably terrible this app is at doing the one thing it is designed to do: play music. I am running a new phone with the latest version of Android and have a go+ subscription. on going problems and bugs: 1. often refuses to play anything unless you restart the phone. 2. downloads won't work, or if you do get them to work it will randomly forget them a month later, by the time you realize you are on a plane with no music to listen to.

The advertising is nuts. If I am forced to listen to ads for not paying, that is fine, but it is worse than that. I will be listening and then an ad will start. Instinctively I go to skip the ad, and the app wont let me. Fine I say and sleep my phone. The thing is the ads are dang VIDEOS, so when you sleep it after opening it, the ad then pauses. So when driving you need to sit with your phone open until the video is finished, which can be a quite a while. This happens minimum every other song.

I LOVE SOUNDCLOUD! Its got all the music I want and you can skip infinitely excluding ads and a lot more stuff! unfortunately the bugs are ruining my experience. When I try to move songs in the playlist shuffle, sometimes when I move the song I want it moves the song above it. Using it alone is a major issue; It frequently freezes my device, crashes it, overheats it and just kills it. you wouldnt get that from Spotify now would you?

app is great aside from one thing. I have skipped a specific few songs I don't like, nothing explicit about the song and nothing inappropriate, I just don't like them, and I can't find a way to just tell sound cloud to not play those. will change this to a 5 star if that option presents itself, EASILY. I really don't want to jump through hoops to make a song not play. one button to say "don't play this for this user" would be great.

One of the absolute worst apps I've ever used. Constantly freezes / gets stuck and then just goes around in circles ~ not allowing me to play additional content. Also, it asked me to pick 3 artists I'm interested in... They showed NO search results for Alice In Chains!!! REALLY??? After choosing 3 artists, they showed me suggestions for Nickleback and Creed. In what world does Creed relate to Slayer???

I like the app, but it is beyond frustrating when you add a bunch of songs to a Playlist and then all of a sudden a month later you are unable to listen to them because it says they are now "unavailable in your country". Living in the US that's completely BS!! Then when you try to upload a song from an old CD that YOU PURCHASED to a PRIVATE Playlist, they won't let you because they say you "don't have the rights". I don't pay $15 a month for this type of availability.

Been using for 9 years and I love it. Never had any major issues with it in all that time. Edit: new update makes it extremely hard to find artists, and the app crashes constantly when searching for a track... Hoping there's a fix soon for both of these issues Edit: issues fixed... sorta. Edit again, now Go is even more expensive? I'm gonna start looking for a new service.

What happened to this app? I got a new phone, and everything seemed to transfer over well. However, the app would just decide to quit playing. At first, I thought it was battery optimization, but I checked the settings several times. Finally, I uninstalled and reinstalled thinking it might fix it, but then I noticed it only stops on ads. No, it does not pause, it stops. Completely. What garbage. So far, it seems to work in a mobile browser, though, so what do I need this thing for?

can't play a song without it skipping and stopping constantly. has happened before but It seemed to be fixed. now its back. it takes like 5 minutes just to load when I click on my likes, or go anywhere in the app for that matter. Infuriating. Worst of all, the advertisements have no problems loading. no interruptions during and advert, but my music laggy skipping all the time. Im so close to uninstalling and moving to Spotify full time. this is becoming a dieing platform and that's really sad.

the app is good quality, with good music and unlimited skips. the only issues I have currently is that finding settings is near impossible, and right now I'm having a hard time with adding songs to playlists. there is no confirm button or save that allows you to add the song. also, there is no way to close out of a song. because of these bugs, I'm taking off 3 stars, but once the bugs are fixed I'll definitely give 5 stars. the app is genuinely good, just lacking important fixes.

Good songs, and plays similar songs every time. but I was logged out of my account and I made a new one with a different email and it worked until I wanted to log back into my main account and now it keeps saying "Our robots think you're a robot" and the page it takes me to, to help me doesn't have anything about the app that'll help me. and at one point it said I was blocked because I kept spamming the sign in button when I tried to use another email

get smarter with ad initiating, I haven't decided whether or not I want to subscribe and I find myself annoyed with your app. When I try to look for a song, the app wants to play ads. 1 of two things happens, I either force stop the app and reopen or I just close the app and don't use it. This is because your ads stop me from being able to search, why y'all decided on that I'll never know. When I'm trying to interact with the screen, don't take that away, it's bad design.

This app goes well with my SoundCloud account, but I subscribed to the lowest subscription tier to get rid of the audio ads that pop up whenever I go to play a song in the free version. It's just as good as the website, more or less. I enjoy it but they tend to recommend upgrading my current tier a little too often. Still I give it a high rating... 👍🏻

I decided to switch to SoundCloud Go+ but every time I start my playlists on Bluetooth, it won't play the next song, it acts like its buffering. I have to go into the app to play each song, which isn't very convenient when im driving. ive tried to fix it multiple times and nothing is working. The music selection is pretty okay, for some reason I cant find a lot of mainstream songs on the app. The sound quality is really good, though. I may have to cancel my membership, though, if this continues

Can play whatever I want, only get 2 to 3 ads at a time, and they aren't long. Can get most of my songs from it. And it's cheaper than another popular music platform. Just take my money soundcloud. You deserve it. - Ended my sub.. two days of waiting for this 403 Error to go away. I can't even log in now, so the subscription had to be canceled just in case. 'Otto' was very frustrating and not helpful at all. That bot just started going in a circle and not understanding my issue. Hoping it fixes.

I've used SoundCloud exclusively for about a decade now. It started so great, and had so much potential, but as other companies progressed SoundCloud plateaued. The app is often slow and laggy, especially after the introduction of more ads. The increase in price for premium isn't really justifiable anymore with better options that provide better streaming and more options. The price increases, and the constant feeling of diminishing quality is making me leave after 10+ years. Disappointment.

The app is good, pretty typical music streaming app, though I have one major issue with it. When selecting songs, sometimes you'll be given a video ad rather than an audio one. To be fair, these are much shorter than the audio ones usually, but they should be an opt in thing I feel. I tend to just pick a song and try to go, but these force you to keep the app open during their duration, or it will stop playback. This can lead to a few issues, like at work for instance.
