Spacecraft AR

I have an S10 with Android 10 and the app doesn't work!! After selecting the mission and the vehicle, I'm supposed to see everything in 3d with the camera, but I can't. The screen stays black and it asks me to "move the phone around in circles until the app detects a horizontal surface". It never finds such "surface". Then, I downloaded a pdf with images of rocks to see if that worked, but again, it didn't. It really is a shame.

Nothing happens when you need to move the phone in circles to detect a flat surface. The app just freezes there and the only thing I can do is force close it.

Fantastic use of AR technology for education. So cool being able to view detailed, 3d models of spacecraft in your own home. I was really surprised how well it worked. Can't wait to see more added in the future!

Love you 3000 I also wana be come to nasa one day it's like my dream from my childhood because you all together do thing wich some day felt like dreams like going to space and moon. Thins thing I like the most in nasa that everything is possible but with solid science and eyes full of dreams.. I have a request plz add James web telescope to the app. Again thanks alot to inspire me.

Cool idea, but dies every time it tries to find a surface on S10+. Displays camera, back, and profile icons over black screen and freezes.

Perfect app to let you see the real size of the Mars rovers! Wish they'd make the "Full Size" option for all vehicles, even the ISS!

The update in May 2022 fixed this app for Android 11 & up. If you've tried it before and just got a black screen, try the update! It is truly inspiring to place the Perseverance rover in my living room and walk around it to see it from all angles.

Fun, but hard to navigate to alternative spacecraft (eg. launch vehicles) & exit from. I have to resort to putting phone into screen saver mode or restarting to get back to other menus!

Pretty cool way to visualize spacecraft! Works decently well on my old little Samsung A5, surprised how big ingenuity was! Though I guess it totally makes sense since it was dropped off by a SUV sized rover. Looking forward to seeing Dragonfly when it's mission is ready!

Ty for being able to see where our space program is at. Is there a way to make app more interactive? I learned more about NASA when I visited over 40 years ago. I mean, I can understand security reasons, but can't you gives more information on samples? How about a simulation of rover on any planet, let us see what they see. You are NASA, yet you give us so little information about what you were created for...what's out there. I saw no footage of previous missions. People are interested in space.

Very cool app, but how do I exit w/o restarting phone?! App disappears onscreen back, home and app icons! Not addressed in Help section.

Not working. I know what is about,since Google came up with virtual athletes during Tokyo's Olympics, but the screen here stays black. Realme7 pro, android version 11. Hope to edit my rating asap.

Spacecraft AR is my favourite Augmented Reality application. I am regularly using this tool as part of the Augmented Reality demonstration during my workshop session. I am creating a awareness about this tool more than 10 to 15 workshop participants. I love this tool. Thank you.

Does not work on Samsung phones. Worked on earlier Pixel. It’s WONDERFUL on the right android. A brilliant educational tool.

This doesn't work at all. I installed Google AR services and the app still fail to open.

It's great I have suggestions maybe make it not pasted over the camera but over the local area so it doesn't move when you are moving

The app doesn't work. It gets stuck on the "move your phone around in circles" screen.

Well this is an awesome app at first then when I picked the rover section, I wanted to turn off my camera. It would be better with settings.

Wow!!!, this app is amazing. Lovely AR version of many rockets, rovers, satellite etc. Totally loved it.

A Mars rover in my living room? Awesome! Very cool app for kids and very big kids like myself.
