I absolutely love this app. There have been so many other apps that I've tried like Duolingo and Mango. They help me learn sure, but I feel this one is the best so far. They give you basically "tutors" to put it in a way. You speak the words and the app will give you feedback and I love it! They also have a daily streak that me, personally, I enjoy because I feel motivated to get that streak as high as possible. So if you want to learn a language in the best way possible I say download this app!
I like the app and all but the amount of times I had to restart a video because the mic wouldn't pick up yet I speak directly into the phone in a dead silent room. It's really aggravating to restart a whole video simply because the mic won't work. I also had to skip a part of a lesson because it's was for premium only which I most certainly DO NOT have that kind of money for. All I ask if for the mic to be fixed and for there to be lessons for people who can't get premium
I like the teachers on the videos, but I find the app is not very user friendly. There are too many options instead of a clear path. Also, in one type of practice exercise, I constantly have to press a key to continue which is annoying when using the app while jogging. It would be better if the app would automatically continue when speaking into the mic to reiterate the dialog.
I love the app. You can go back to previous lessons to review, the feedback is quick and helpful, and even the support team is punctual and helps relatively quickly, as well as being very professional and kind. The reason why it isn't 5 stars, and my main problem, is how the majority of the lessons are for premium users. Only the first lesson is free. I wish there were more options for free users because I really like the app, but can't get premium.
I've been using this app for more than six months now. It's simply the best Spanish language learning app that exists. I've been "learning" Spanish for at least 25 years and even did a year of Baselang, but this app beats them all because the feedback is detailed and instantaneous. The AI is phenominal and language recognition is dead-on. In my opinion, the best way to learn to speak a language is to speak and be corrected in real-time. I can't wait til the French production version is released.
This is a great app. I love how simple it is to just hear audio and repeat it. it feels like it improves both listening comprehension and pronunciation very quickly. I just wish there were 2 minor changes. 1. I wish it didn't pause so much between playing audio and when it wants me to repeat it. 2. I wish I didn't have to repeat to an English translation when verifying if my pronunciation is good on the French phrase. if I'm attempting a phrase multiple times, this feels like water time.
I kept seeing this app on social media so I finally downloaded it and I have to say 10/10 so far. I really like that u have conversations and it makes it easy to see the words if u can't remember. they do have a free version but the most helpful one is the paid subscription one! they do have a week free subscription which is cool to try before u officially buy.
Why does it transcribe my speech as Hungarian or whatever when we were speaking Japanese? And it doesn't let you fix/delete your sentence either. Breaks up the conversation flow. I'm not too interested in the "repeat after me" exercises since I already got Duolingo for that; I'm mainly looking for an AI to chat with. But this one is super buggy. I think Praktika is better for that.
I literally just now caught the app, and it's so amazing. Like in 7 minutes, I've already learned so many words, y'all should really get it and keep in mind. I'm not even that old. So it's definitely very easy for kids to learn and adults. Anna helps you with your pronunciation and it's just an amazing app over roll.
This app was super helpful, I decided to learn Korean recently but most other apps were teaching you just how to write it or how to recognize. This app actually teaches you how to pronounce the word and one strategy I found out was helpful, is to think of English words (if you speak english) that you can use to sound out the word. Although I do wish there was a free version with ads instead of having to pay for this app.
I downloaded this app looking for something better than Duo lingo and got pretty much the same. My only problem is when I'm doing my speaking lessons, it catches my words every other time. For example I am trying to learn Korean. We are at the part when I'm asking if it's okay to do something. It will not register the first word, but will get the other and then when I put the two words together, it may or may not register. I stopped using it because of this. Tried again today, same issue.
I've been using the app since October 2025, when I subscribed for a year. I was happy with it, but today the lessons stopped, since I had completed all levels after advanced part 2. Now there is no more new lessons, it's finished , I paid for a full year and I got 4 months scam for my subscription, very disappointed. Don't recommend !
Demands access to other devices and intrusive permissions. Using the app enrolls you in a one week trial that you can't cancel. After 3 days (not 7) you are billed $100.00. No way to contact customer service. Not a real language program rather, low quality AI generated lessons you could create with the right prompts. It does not evaluate your response but accepts any answer allowing you to repeat errors in pronunciation. There are better free apps.
Was great until I logged in for my daily lesson, and saw it's now subscription based. I can only do the beginning lesson then the rest is locked. I'm not too upset because I have 4 other apps for leaning Korean, but it's still kind of sad. A great substitute for this app would be Drops and Teuida. Both great apps with the option of a subscription, the free lessons on those are great! the subscription just allows you to do more lessons in one day plus some extra add on lessons if interested.
I know an app has to make money to operate, so the premium is easily forgiven. honestly, speaking the words and phrases instead of just being told what they are is so lot easier to grasp. I'm working on the Italian course, and compared to DuoLingo, Speak is a lot more streamlined. It also helps you to learn the context in which phrases should be used. "Ciao" and "Salve" both mean hello, but they are for different contexts. Speak helps a lot to determine.
amazing right off the bat, dives in to what you're looking for and making me think in the language im trying to practice. great app, we'll see how far my skills go with the free version apart from my motivation haha. edit: so you cant really get very far with the free version, it'll turn into just a short preview but def probably helpful if you pay, that would probably be the downside for a user looking for free language learning options
I love learning with Speak (It has no ads!). Even though its only been a few weekd, I love the cute little character they have, the video sessions that actually make you feel like your being praised for it, the way it has you translate it to make sure you really understand, its all amazing strategies. I do wish Speak had more languages though, I wanted to learn Chinese and not I'm on a wait list. On the bright side, I'm on track to being fluent in Korean though!
so I have tried it. it is a good app but only letting people try some of it and not having a free version. at least doling go has a free version that has ads. this just my opinion if you had a one time pay were you have it unlimited with ads that would be okay and if people didn't like that then they can pay for no ads. I understand that you have make money to keep everything going and that's fine.
This is pretty fun! Hearing myself back is pretty cringe can't lie, but speaking really makes me want to continue learning more honestly. I know it's likely my fault, but studying through books makes me feel too dumb to continue learning Korean. But this app is plenty easy to use, even after going through a good few months with the great green bird app, I feel like I'm more likely to continue learning with this one! Maybe I'll even pick up the books again if they aren't too outdated by now xD
It's okay. It didn't hear me right a lot of the time and only in the lessons, free speak heard me fine. It's nice improv speaking practice but for the fact it has lessons, it feels too advanced for straight learning, throwing you into speaking before you get enough practice to understand how to answer. It definitely feels like you need supplemental vocabulary for this. If I didn't already have a steady base I think I would have stumbled a lot worse than I did.
