It's ok to measure cell speeds, but locks up if you're trying to measure your wifi speeds. Also, my phone says I'm connected to AT&T 5G but app says 4G. No annoying ads. 👍 Update (from 2 to 4 stars) : I un-installed/reinstalled the app and everything seems to be working except for the network info. My phone say 5G or 5G+ but app continues to say it's 4G. 🤔
Pretty cool internet speed test app. One nice point is that it will play video loops intended to test the maximum attainable television resolution available. I just downgraded my Internet - didn't see any point in paying high fees for fast bandwidth and a high data limit anymore (since our gaming-prone son moved out). So we cut the speed in half and this testing app says we should still be able to watch 4K movies no problem... and that does appear to be the case!
See, I enjoy the Xbox series X console it's game capabilites stretch out and perform best for me at just over 100 mb download and at least 12 mb upload and I'm able to test and determine when it will be an optimal time for my Xbox and believe it or not, but right now, see you later. When it comes to accurate test results these guys offer the best most accurate. To me accuracy is everything. I'm sure you're gonna do better with these guys.
i've only used this app for a few minutes but I found that I can't change the testing server at all. it would be great if there was a way to do that as many other speed test apps allow that as well! But other than that, it's a pretty great app. It's simple to use, easy to compare test results very easy to get going from the beginning. Very powerful little machine!! 💪🏼😍
Not bad. No annoying ads. Can show speed in bytes, not only in bits (rocket science for internet speed apps these days). A little bug: when viewing a history record, upload speed is always 7.31 MB/s for me, while in the list of records it's different for each record.
The app provides only minimal measurements, yet it's somehow a very sluggish user interface. It would benefit us all to show ping, latency and jitter during the test, rather than only afterward in the history. In addition, bufferbloat (or latency under load) measurements would indicate real-life network speed and responsiveness. As it is, it's not useful and I can get more from Cloudflare's speed test in a browser, for example.
Excellent speed test app. No ads! Only requests permissions to see what type of data network you are using, it does nothing else with the permissions. You can disable the permission and it still works. This is more accurate than the test that my ISP provides.
Doesn't measure in Bytes. Bits - then break out your calulator I guess. I found one that has a settings menu that allowed for Bytes, since that's what my Network Monitor widget uses and I tipped them their requested $5.99, but they also give it away for free if you can't help them, hint: Speedch.....
OK Speed test app, it does work but drained my Samsung phone battery to 20%. It's bit dated but accurate. Ate too much of my pricey data at 30mb per use. No annoying pop-ups or incessant ads! OK. Drained my phone battery frequently! Sort it out! Update Uk 🇬🇧 13.9.23
Why does this app need access to my contacts? By default, it asks for permission, but of course, I clicked no, and the app continued running as nothing happen . So, it's unclear why the developers need this permission, unless it's to collect data...
Needs to be further improvements in the app doesn't measure the ping, jitter and loss and also doesn't shows the provider name in cellular or wifi network and also doesn't tell the longitude and latitude of the user. Also doesn't shows the signal strength of both cellular and Wi-Fi network.
So far I been using this app on 3 different phones and not had one annoying ad pop-up, yet I absolutely love this app, so keep bringing us more futures/ one good thing I like to see added is a vpn premium services that would be awesome. Still, I highly recommend this app/ app keeps disconnecting
I feel I get a Free Speed Test with sharp art to enjoy... the hummingbird logo states this... and the extra ride you get is all do to a "seek a provider" option box to click that you never have to click... unless that was a need.... and so the whole thing works....
This a great speed test! It's testing results are clearly displayed. It gives a choice of where you are for each test. It will tell you whether it test WiFi or 5G or LTE. The app,'s layout colors are very attractive - the design of Speed Test is eye catching, pleasant to look at.
Speed Test always test my speeds way lower than the tech guys work phone does. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and nothing changes speed wise. my brother tested it with his phone, went home and tested his internet (supposed to be the same 300mbps) and his was 320mbps. the highest mine has tested was 170mbps on my phone, the highest on the techs phone was 370mbps. The tech guys says it's my phone not working right with the app. any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
Simple straightforward experience. Nothing to fiddle with. Perhaps one of the best speed test apps for Android
Seems to work as expected. ran it through a Mbps speed test app and it increased as I move the receiver closer to my phone went from 10mbps to 23mbps. In a sorta tin building with the doors open but over 50ft away.
Good working app. The only thing to improve - increase time out threshold for connection interrupted, in order to avoid the test to fail.
it's always great to have a 3rd party app to check speed. this particular app doesn't require a ton of ads so it's rather useful.
Download speeds seem ok, but upload speeds way off. Not very customizable either. Will be uninstalling as other speed test apps are more accurate and customizable.
