This used to be the best audio live-streaming app. The community was always great, and I've made a lot of friends on the platform. However, ever since you guys removed the call feature the vibe is just different somehow. I used to stream on the daily because I loved having conversations on call with a bunch of different people, but now it just feels kinda blah. It's a little lonely, I guess? Anyway, call was one of your best features and I'm sure I'm not the only one who misses it.
So I havent used the app a lot yet so I'm going off of the first 10 minutes of use, but from the looks of it this is a great idea. Really simple and user-friendly. Keep up w the advertising on different social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and you guys struck gold, seeing as how podcasts are becoming more and more popular and can only go up from here. So much more I could say but so little space. 👍
While I think there's room for new features I cant think of a better place to meet people and have fun, voice your opinions, or just let loose. The Spoon team, especially #mamaspoon, are a delight anytime you need them. Like any app I see that future improvements could be very beneficial, but the platform is simple to use and the people are usually so nice. In less than a week I've already made friends in a range of ages! Give it a try!
Definitely has potential for growth. But alot more features are going to have to be added, there should be more ways for listeners to interact with casters and casters should be able to collaborate and cast together. And instead of the static background on the cast, allow for the caster to change the background at will without having to stop the cast. But man I'd be lying if I said this app isn't fun to use. No need for a camera or any fancy tech. Just your phone, your voice and your fans.
I have this app for a few years now, and the main reason I even went on was because I would role play with friends and a fun time. it was absolutely an amazing app for people who had a ton of different types of likes and interests. After the ban of rp I did go on it for a long time. Here recently I went on and I couldn't do anything as it was all in Japanese so it's probably not a good app for anything now. it's sad to see such a good app go to waste.
It's all in Korean. Help me please! I'm really confused right now. I heard good things about this app but when I started it, it placed me in the Korean server and there is no option to switch. I'm using the North American Play Store. I'm physically in North America too. I don't even understand Korean. Edit: Customer support was fast and solved my issue quickly
I've used both the US server version and the Japanese server version in the past. But can no longer choose between the two and I can't stream through the website. The Japanese version is basically older Spoon and it's great, group chats, proper tags, safe etc. (Huge cultural difference definitely helps). But the US version is no longer accessable at all to me, makes me sad because for a while I was growing my followers.
Excuse me?! The font is too small after the new update! 😣 Also many people say it's no longer new user friendly and many old users that I know said "it's no longer interesting, because the call feature has some problems". Too add more, sometimes lists of live followed DJs didn't show up! Spoon, please..i'm disappointed :(
Great, love the app so far. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now, and it has become a hobby. I would like to say there is a bug in which sometimes callers can't call in. From my knowledge it has been happening to other users besides me. I have a suggestion to allow 2 people in a call (not including the streamer). Thank you Spoon app, I have met interesting people on here and I have something to do now. Keep improving the platform!
Waited so long for the app to come back, and when I saw group chat was gone, it was a complete disappointment. Also, getting rid of the viewer discretion option was a dumb move as well. I used to love this app and met so many amazing people, but I can't do that anymore and have to search for a different app now.
Overall pretty good! I just keep having issues with the ' Live Call ' Feature. When i join i either disconnect right away, or get no connection to the call with the caster. It effects the casts severley as my friend alway loves when i join the live call to make jokes and have a good team. If there is anything i could do to fix these issues please let me know. Good App overall! ❤
Lots of issues that are never fixed, the app needs age filters it's honestly pretty negligent as far as that goes. I also gave this app a shot for over a year and saw no growth, chatrooms at max might hit 100 listeners. It's kind of good if youre just wanting to start live chat and see how it feels before making a real podcast. The chats section would have short ended conversations due to poor retention of spoon users.
Spoon is filled with wonderful people, excepting, nice, smart, and cool, but one thing about this app is I can't speak to anyone. When someone accepts my live call, I run into an error and bug. It is quite annoying because then the person is frustrated with me, and I don't know what to do, but overall it's good so I'll reconsider my rating to a 3.
Love the idea of this app, met some good people. Was off it for about four days and clicked on a notification to listen to one of my favorite people and i was suddenly logged out and my account apperantly doesnt exist under my phone, email, or facebook, really bummed theres no option to log in by username, so sad to have lost all my spoonsand freinds
This app is just weird to me as a concept. Why would you want to stream only audio? I guess this is cool for amateur musicians, but it makes no sense for anyone else. Here's the things I don't really like about this app: 1. The top streams are all lofi hip hop mixes. 2. Audio quality is terrible because everyone is using their phones. 3. Chat with strangers. Think of Omegle. Would you recommend Omegle to a child? No. I fear that's where this app is going. Moderation team has a lot of work ahead.
It's a great app to connect with like minded people and, just chill. If there is a community you like they have a chat for it. Everything from 18+ to anime. It's super easy to use and just takes a second to sign up. They automatically pair you with groups that fit your interest and, alot of the creators seem super chill. There is also a way to get free spoons if you're willing to spend the time to do it. So you can gift the creators you like even when you are on a budget.
I loved the app, the community was great and very welcoming, I loved it. I would give it more stars if my account kept getting blocked for no reason. At first, I didn't really think anything of it since it gave me a reason so I just made another google account, then it blocked me again and didn't give me a reason. I read the terms of service and rules and everything, I didn't do anything to get blocked. This may just be an error so please fix it if that's the case! I really enjoy this app!
It's cool and has potential. Though, it gets boring after an hour or so on it. Also, there's a lot of kids under the age of 13 on there and I'm not too fine with that. Maybe make a stricter rule against that? It's just weird knowing little kids are on it. I also say let users from different countries interact with other countries. Having only users from America is boring and doesn't really open up for some diversity. I'd like to hear from the Korean side here and there. Might help make it fun!
There wasn't much to do, I've heard role-playing used to be there and I might have kept the app for it, there's just a lack of variety and when there is a topic I like, the people in those chats never talk. The app seems very Limited and desolate and I might even remember install it when role-playing is allowed. Overall though I didn't enjoy it, it was like eating a stale peice of bread that was advertised to be whole sandwich. Very dissapointed .
It's a very interesting audio live streaming. We don't only learn how to be a good broadcaster, but we can also get many friends on Spoon. And there are some livestreams we can talk and practice our foreign language using live call feature, especially in English. It does entertain people during this covid-19 pandemic while staying at home.
