Total rip off does not work. I paid in advance for parking in Boston common. When attempting to enter the garage, the system would not accept the scan saying that I was not registered. I attempted several times to rescan, hit the call button and got no response, and with a line of cars behind me had to pay with a regular ticket. Contacted their customer support, and received nothing but questions about whether I did it right. One would think they would know it was never used and refund the money
I used this app on quite a few times and always found great deals that are much cheaper than the regular parking rates. Never had a problem using the parking pass at the garages. On a recent occasion I had a problem with the parking lot being closed on arrival. SpotHero support was very helpful. They refunded my purchase and credited me the difference for the higher rate that I paid at the airport.
SpotHero charged me for a parking space that was unavailable, then would not offer me a refund. The space I was "sold" was in an unattended lot a few blocks from my event, and I uploaded the maximum four photos allowed of the full lot including signage matching site photos in their app. I fortunately found free parking on a street adjacent to the lot they "sold." When I requested a refund based on not receiving services I paid for, they asked me to provide a receipt for my free street parking.
We reserved a spot in Columbus Ohio at Short North Parking lot. When we arrived every single spot was taken. We tried calling Spot hero to get a refund and we were on hold for a very long time and finally had to hang up. I have tried emailing twice and it's been over 24 hours and still no response. I will have to go through my credit card company to get a refund. Do not expect them to solve issues, apparently. Very disappointed.
I have used the app a few times and it is really easy and clear instructions on what to do. I like the map feature to figure out where I want to park. and then follow the clear instructions and pictures where to enter/exit the parking areas. **update 1/9/26** this app is still amazing. I love being able to positively rely on where to park when in the city. great for events and dinners out!! ***
I love this app and what I love most about it is how easy it is to cancel and get a refund for a parking reservation. I wrote this review almost a year ago and I stand by it. I realize you have to look closely at the map rather than the recommendations for the closest spot to your destination but it's a fantastic app and again getting a refund is so painless if you end up not needing the spot.
It was easy finding parking for a mayor event in Kia Center, Orlando the same day of the event. The app is easy to use. I initially set up the wrong time and it was easy to change it. I even got a refund for the difference in price. Then I changed the vehicle and the app was a breeze to use. When I arrived to the parking, all worked flawlessly and it was very close to the event. I paid 9.99 instead of 25 I would had paid for the same parking without the app. I'm keeping this one!
Ok. There are times it asks for login at the most inopportune times, like when I'm pulling into the parking lot and now wants me to log in again. Or, on occasion, when the reservation made doesn't get accepted by the parking facility. The app used to offer a "re-book" option, but that appears to have disappeared, requiring me to go through the steps to select the location again. Lastly, the work profile setting doesn't seem to work. Tried setting it up several times and doesn't seem to stick
Long time user. Recently had poor experience, where the parking spots were not available when arrived. Given that it is usually cheaper to pay at the location, this completely negates the reason for using the app. Additionally apparently there's no way for me to give a rating for the location since I was able to cancel the reservation and get a refund (yay, I guess?).
no reimbursement if parking isn't accessible! called customer support as was told reimbursement are only given if you call "in the moment" meaning, before your reservation starts. the issue I had was the access road to the garage was blocked off and my reservation had already started. since you can only book in 30 minute increments, I usually boos the start time BEFORE I know I'll arrive. I love the app but poor customers service and no accountability for mistakes/missing details on their end.
No Filters Button. Help/FAQs Useless. Got a rental car in Chicago - not used to parking. Booked 48 hours and didn't realize it doesn't include in/out privelages. OK fine huge waste of money. Go to FAQs and it says to use filters to find in/out. There are no filters! You literally have one job no idea how it can be so difficult to find a parking spot where I can use my car when I want and then return it to the spot I paid for (SHOCKING I KNOW!)
The app has improved a bit, it was very buggy for a while but it seems they've addressed those issues. I would love it if they had the ability to apply filters to the search results. I have a larger vehicle and most garages in the city are just too small. To be able to filter out garages, or to filter by height restriction would be great.
I've used this app over the years but now every time I try to book something it brings me to the "sign in to make your next booking faster" screen and i get stuck in a loop. If I hit back, nothing, if I x out of the sign in screen, it just takes me back to the main screen. I already uninstalled and reinstalled the app and nothing works.
my current review: no longer compatible with my phone. lame. my original review: This app has changed my life and opened the door to more frequent trips to the Loop. I've always been wishy washy about it because parking was expensive and the CTA took so long. This app changes all that. I can find great deals with it. All around winner. I'm a huge fan.
I prepaid to park in Boston. I read the directions four times and followed them correctly. I also made sure I was at the correct location. The barcode reader at the garage would not accept my prepaid code and kept telling me it was invalid. I had to take a ticket and pay the regular weekend rate on top of my payment through the app. Frustrating and no respect for my time.
surprised there exists some irritating bugs. Hope to upgrade this tating later. when a request exceeds the available time for SpotHero (or maybe due to capacity?), the app goes into an infinite loop ~ pop-up message that cannot be cleared pressing OK. Requires quitting and starting over. Time to step up with a more thorough formal test plan before releasing versions because they work for 95% of cases or devices. Easily recreatable, if interested.
Doesn't allow a separate email for personal and business expenses, and doesn't seem to provide any receipts for filing company expenses. I mean.. these are basic things. Edit: In response to the developer's response, no, you cannot add a separate email. The app simply says it's "linked to a Google account and cannot be changed", for any profile created.
Booking was easy and straight-forward. However there is not enough information upfront on parking conditions. Read after I booked a spot that it could only handle sedans and very small cars, no trucks or even midsize SUVs. This information earlier in the reservation process would have allowed me to avoid this lot and look to another instead. Booking in Cleveland, OH.
I downloaded this app to reserve parking for a special event that I knew would be jam packed. I wanted my family to have a fun, stress free experience. Instead, we arrived to find the lot we "reserved" and PREPAID full-- NO SPACE! As a result, we wasted 45 minutes trying to find a parking spot. When I make a reservation, especially when I pay in advance, I expect to get what I paid for. In short, don't bother with this app.
Everything is great, but it doesn't let you filter for in/out availability. I've booked 4 or 5 times and even though I read all the details and all the things you should know, after the booking is made, there is a "things you should know" section that then, and only then, tells you that in/out is not available. I guess if for some reason the app doesn't allow you to filter for in/out, it MUST include this in the description. You pay for one thing and then get something else. Poor design.
