Good app, but it needs a lot of changes. I provide a service that requires consent forms to be signed,but with this app, the forms are sent to the customer AFTER they book leaving me to chase them down to complete them before their upcoming appt. This problem would be eliminated if the forms were completed BEFORE booking is finalized. Also, it would be much better to be able to view your calendar by the month vs the day or week. This would help business owners who need to plan ahead for clients
I used to like this app but recently its gone down hill. it doesnt load information and pressing the "refresh" button does absolutely nothing. They keep putting more and more features (that used to be free) behind a pay wall. Why would I pay for an app that frustrates the hell out of me. I'd love to communicate my issues with the company but the only option for communication is to call and I don't want to be on hold for an hour when I could have sent an email.
It started off as a great app, but now they will nickel & dime you for every specific function (wait list, custom reminders etc), despite booking fees as high as any other payment processing service. Their app has also become clunky. For the 2nd time in 6 months, the phone app will show completely wrong availability for our staff, despite changes being made on the desktop version causing confusion. (It's more efficient to update staff members' availability on the desktop vs phone app).
Been using square to schedule appointments. Had all of my clients and their info entered and a month worth of appointments set up. Went to schedule someone and i was no longer logged in, for the first time in 9 months of using them. So I tried to just sign in. Repeatedly gave me an error code. Tried multiple emails. Had to change my password like 7 times when I'd try to login. Finally logged in and it was as if it was a brand new account! None of my appointments or clients are in there!
I used to love this app. My clients are no longer able to confirm or cancel appointments through their end if I schedule them myself, which is ridiculous. The address to my location also no longer shows up on their reminders. That feature needs to be returned, or unfortunately, I'm going to have to use another appointment app. Also, the links that were provided to "resolve" the issue don't load.... Customer service doesn't help much either.
Pretty good, but please make it easier to input new clients by just typing in their info when scheduling. Currently having to either import from contacts (which isn't feasible as they are never in my contacts) or go to the other square app, on which it gives an error message and try again later probably 75% of the time. All of my square apps are up to date. I just came to the app store to check, so I thought I'd leave feedback. More user-friendly, easier input of clients!
This app is semi-useful. In my industry, I'm not always charging a customer, or I already have a paid invoice. Appointments requires I add a service and a dollar amount for every appointment. I can't even put a service and $0. When I preform warranty work, or insurance work, I make an appointment with the customer and invoice someone else. Unfortunately, this means leaving the appointment out of Square Appointments leaving an opening in the schedule causing the risk of double-bookings.
Useless customer support. I asked a very specific support question about one of the functions in the app(after I searched the knowledge base) & got an automated email telling me that the app will be out soon & to download it from Play store! This wasn't even one of those automated emails that tells you a person would be getting back to me. This was my customer support response. They're either using an automated system that doesn't work, or they're using staff whose first language is not English.
Spent 48 minutes on the phone only to be hung up on by the rep who said "this call is becoming unproductive." I'd argue the entire call was unproductive. I'm having an issue with one clients profile & they couldn't fix it. Kept telling me my phone is outdated. I'd be more likely to believe them if the issue was occurring with the rest of my client profiles. This error is occurring on two different devices so no way both are outdated. Absolutely terrible troubleshooting and refused to escalate.
Was great at first. Free was nice! But, the past few months, scheduled appointments don't show up on the calendar, causing double booking. It randomly won't load my clients in the list. The app crashes 2-3 times a week and I have to "force stop" the app and restart it. Which is very inconvenient when I'm busy. As of now, the servers have been down for HOURS! In the middle of my work day. As soon as it's back up it will only be opened to copy my clients and phone numbers then UNINSTALLED!
It works, but they'll get you in and then browbeat you for more $. I've used this app to manage appointments for years, and suddenly they decided to leverage a monthly subscription fee on top of taking a % of transactions in fees. I opted not to "upgrade" (even though there's nothing new). Now it's nerfed my calendar full of appointments for May/June that were booked way before any of this. And I don't want to hear it about "inflation." These companies are making record profits.
I love the ease of navigation and the convenience of the app, making appointments and checking clients out all in one place. However, the the appointment reminder feature is terrible. Half the time my clients do not receive a reminder text or email about their appointment, and other times it comes one hour before their appointment time. It is incredibly inconsistent, and has caused me to lose out on a few appointments.
Pretty good scheduling app. I use it because it gives people reminders. I wish it was easier to connect to customer service and tech support. I spent a long time trying to find a phone number to connect to someone when my reader wasn't working. Working in a customer profile, it takes you back to the main screen rather than profile. When you tap on a day to make an appt it starts you with a completely random date and time from that week rather than the block you selected. Not glitchy though.
I used to love everything about the square! As of late, I hate Everything. My appointments disappeared one day and that was a nightmare. I can no longer message my clients, it just gives me a message failed error. I've tried everything. I've lost clients, business, refunds required, and bad reviews due to the many problems with this POS. It's ridiculous!!! I spent 11 hours 1 day calling customer service over and over. I got hung up on 39 times. Nothing ever gets fixed or resolved. I'm switching
This app used to be great. However, they're starting to charge $30 a month just to sync it with your Google calendar, a feature that was free until a week ago, and won't even grandfather anyone in. I've used this service for 4 years, and they have made probably a collective 40k-50k off of me, now they need an extra 29.99 a month JUST so I can sync my calendar? Get bent. I'll give my money to someone else.
What a pos! My wife and I share a studio and can only perform one service at a time. There is no way to show both our schedules at once so it's constant toggling back and forth to try to figure out who has the room at what time. They also stopped syncing with Google calendar unless you pay over $300 a year for the premium service. There's better scheduling apps out there and I'm now switching. Clearly, this was an after thought app to their credit card processing. Don't waste your time with it.
I have used this for several years and its been FANTASTIC. Honestly loved it. The past few months have been horrible. Its been freezing for me and not allowing people to book appointments online via app or web. Today I got several calls asking for me to book for them bc they cant...and I cant either. 0% loading. Uninstalled and reinstalled, still wont work AT ALL on 2 diff phones. This is hurting my business and if its not fixed I will be forced to find another app and website.
This app is amazing! My clients are so happy and say its super easy to use! It does confirmation appointments automatically so I do not have to take more time away from my kids than I already do with work. The square appointments app tracks client info, allows you to have a cancellation policy and best of all is FREE!!!!!! This app has eliminated so much stress and extra side work for me it's perfect! Dont waste your time with other apps trying to make money off you! I do the square app as well!
This app is not compatible with my Samsung S24. I can not see transactions for a single client, from the" more menu." I have to calculate the tips myself. This operation works with iPhones but not with Android. Our salon is very busy and I don't have time to do this during the day, so it makes my job more difficult. Support has been contacted, and I haven't heard back. I am very disappointed, and I would not recommend this app to an Android user.
On top of collecting pretty sizeable processing fees from credit card transactions, they now charge $30/mo for full functionality of their booking app. It feels like extortion. I switched to Square because PayPal had high fees, but no free booking app. I felt like the booking app was a fair trade off. Now, I might as well be using Google calendar for my appointments. I've had to go back to calling my clients to confirm appts. Definitely will be finding a new payment processor and scheduler.
