going on an out of country trip, so I bought international calling card, installed straight talk international app, followed the instructions to save the international number in contacts..when you try calling, it dials numbers to different places in the USA, when you contact customer service they see you have the plan, but only tell you to do the same BULL$#!+ that the app tells you to do..dont waste your time or MONEY on this scam..go buy a phone card🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡 ps I am unistall immediately!!!

I get minutes deducted off my calling time and the funny thing is, is that the person I'm calling doesn't answer, or there's an automated recording saying my balance is zero after it tells me I have so many min. for this call, or it rings and goes silent. I've had the same issues a few times within the last 6 months..this is now the 3rd incident. When I called customer service I was on hold for 1 1/2 hrs & switched to at least 5 diff. people who couldn't help me at all..Very much a headache!!

so, this app used to let you call your friends international without having to dial straight talks phone number first, so now to call, you have to dial their number and have whomever you are calling's number and country code written down so you can dial when you are prompted..it's very frustrating to call out of the country anymore and Straight Talk's customer service pretty much sucks, 99% of the time you can't understand whatever language they are speaking and there's kids in the background.

Update 7/13/20 I was finally able to call-out (so changed from 1 star to 3) today, but my almost new card was gone, and I was disconnected after 15 minutes, so had to add another card. I KNOW that I had over 600 minutes left, maybe more. Was great, but since the update this week I haven't been able to connect a call, and it keeps just saying "unfortunately, the app has stopped". I chatted with an agent and he suggested that I didn't know how to use the app, and should call customer service.

Generally speaking Straight Talk had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Regarding the international calling add on, DO NOT buy it! Straight Talk tracks the numbers you call and if your pattern changes, they lock you out. In order to fix it, you must call their incompetent customer service department. I spent 2 hours trying to get this done, not worth the effort.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! After refilling the card I cannot make calls, because the system keeps repeating that they have noticed a change in my calling pattern and advises me to contact customer service. I DID NOT have any changes in my calling pattern. I call exactly the same phone numbers. I contacted their useless customer service. That was a huge joke! It has been couple of months since that happened. Noone is able to fix the issue or offered to refund my money!!!

After I refilled my international service, it would not give me a balance on the app. I have spent several hours on the phone with CS since I couldn't call out and tried many things to fix it. At this point I still am not able to register my phone number with the app due to an error. The only way I can call out, at least, is via dialing a number I was provided, which prompts me to call with country code first. This system error still persists and has not been resolved.

Since 3/10-19 it no longer works of the contact list, and when calling direct through the app, then sometimes, it does not connect correctly. I can hear them, but they can't hear me. Also, it is not showing my number as the one calling, but whatever arbitrary number, through which it uses to make the call. I have re-installed the app several times, but no change. Somebody on Straight Talk's end messed up a well working app.

My minutes were being hijacked/stolen. Customer service told me they could see calls to several other countries but I've only ever called my family in Canada. Customer service reps didn't believe me & kept giving me the run around. I got so fed up that I removed international calling. Unfortunately, due to certain circumstances I HAVE to be able to make international calls, so now I'm paying for unlimited minutes which are probably still being hijacked/stolen!! Oh, and the app barely works too.

Ppl contact Better Bizn Bureau to report bad biz!! About a year or two ago this app was perfectly fine & then they did an update and it hasn't been right since. In July '20 bought 6-month plan, reward points I obtained for that purchase i redeemed for a global calling card & gave app another try. Not only did the app not work, but my $10 global calling card credits disappeared and my reward points are gone!! 2x an agent adjusted to show $10 credit balance..& it appeared, only to disappear, 2x!!!

I keep having problems with the I international calls. They credit card after purchasing the 10 international calling card. But it doesn't go through in the app. This is the 4th time this happens. What is wrong the app. The international calling app and the straight talk app??? Is there no communication?? I spent $20 last time they only credit me $10. Fix your App.

The app doesn't work. You are better off saving the international number as a contact and dialing the number you want when prompted. Right now im with customer service & neither are working for me. Every rep i talk to trouble shoots the phone, then turn it off and back on. Then they'll have you reinstall the app and turn it off and back on. Nothing works. I cant dial with a brand new unlimited international card just applied. I keep getting auto messaged about tech difficulties. Good luck.

The recent update ruined everything and it seems all customers now have the same issue. I cant dial direct from my contact list anymore, no matter the format the number is saved in without being told the number is not included in my international plan. I have to open the app and enter the number manually before it redirects to whatever random number, but does end up going to my intended contact. Calls also never go over an hour and 5 seconds before automatically hanging up. Fix your bugs.

It is interesting that my review was not posted. I give the same one star that i did before because its odd that after the update i cannot make nor recieve calls from Germany. I have been with Straight Talk for 5 years and never had any trouble until the update. My calls are restricted for some reason. Please fix the app!

Don't use Straight Talk International calls, period! It's a big scam! You pay $10 to make international calls and it only works for the first month. When you add another card the next month, it doesn't allow you to make calls! The message says "your calling patterns have been changed, please review your account ". Needless to say, customer service is useless. They have no clue how to fix this problem. It has happened to me twice, with two different phones. Just a scam.

When calling international from my contact list, instead of the contact's actual number being dialed, straight talk dials random numbers. I get through to my contact, however, only 15 different numbers can be used in the 30 days on this plan. Straight talk is using whatever numbers they chose to dial out so 15 numbers is used up immediately! For 5 years I have called the exact contacts without issue. Now straight talk has pulled this sneaky trick. Pathetic!!

This app used to work great but no more! I lost my account. There is no way to add my account back in. I know I have more than a thousand minutes. I tried calling the number and it worked so I am going to uninstall this app. Don't waste your time. They broke something that used to work with an update?

This new app has taken MY MONEY. I have paid $10 and it only gave me 60 minutes and before it gave me 100 minutes. I added more to my account because of this. It also only shows a balance of 0.01 after loading each time. My calls are not going through half the time and it keeps taking money away from my balance. $10 use to last me weeks, but now it doesn't seem to. This needs to be fixed and people need to be compensated such as myself.

Worse phone service provider.... Specially if you are using there international calling app, it seems like at least 2 times a month I have to call them because it is down and when you call customer service you can't understand any of them. I would not recommend straight talk to anyone unless you like throwing your money away. I would recommend to stop using, they're just taking your money and charging for a service that they cannot provide
