At the beginning it was awesome this was the first scooter I seen. So I tried it out and hell yeah worked out perfect. Plus it got me to work way faster then getting a ride or being on cta. Simple fact being that they are compacted and able to go through different streets and did not get stuck in traffic. Just the pricing and the rides could be better deals I work but barely able to ride the as much as I would love to have
Terrible. Scooters repeatedly fail to unlock. "Network error". Scooter motors not working properly - very low power, or power going on-off-on-off. Scooters unlocking, charging you, then immediately locking up again. Out of about 10 attempts, managed to get 2 rides of a couple of minutes each, and they charged over 10 euro to my account.
Rated the app several times and it still nags me to rate it. I'll remove this once it stops nagging me. Edit: three months later, it still nags. And it breaks randomly and charges you for the ride anyway. It's a shame but this app is unreliable and support is awful if they respond at all. Edit: year later, checked out app again. It still breaks all the time, making your passes worthless. Customer service just never answers emails or calls. Stay away!
the worst customer support I think I have ever dealt with. they had a $1 a day ride for 30-day promo when you install, I clicked on see offer, and from that it went straight into the account sign up process, then it asked for my credit card information, pretty comfortable assuming i had entered into the $1 a day ride promo that I actively clicked on. nope, a completely ignored that I had clicked on that promo panel, signed up to an account, then charge me $8 for my first ride. total scammers!!
Terrible terrible terrible. Don't ride these. We spent an hour trying to get a group of them to connect, trying ones all over the town.. They said they weren't connecting but then ended up charging us anyways. It was very frustrating. Just use spin or lime when available!! They are cheaper and the apps are much more straightforward without problems ✌🏽
It's great when it works, I find the half the time upon scanning the qr code it doesn't work and when you try to hit cancel ride it says "not found" it's really annoying. I have to turn off my data, and wait roughly ten minutes before I can do anything or start a new ride on another machine.
Worst Scooter and App experience!! Stay away. The app takes forever to set up, requiring way to many steps just to sign up. Literally took 5-10 minutes and way too much personal information. The scooters are slow and severely limited. Finally when you want to park them you'll find out that you're not allowed to park there and will need to find some place way out of the way to park it.
It's super over priced $0.44 per minute on a scooter which gets you nowhere so that adds up very quickly, and I tried to add a debt card as payment and the add card button didn't even work even after I type in all the card info and the card was verified. On a different occasion I also was charged $17 for a ride I never did with no way to get the money back.
Don't bother. Too expensive and too slow in Corralejo. Much worse than similar scooters globally. For example VOI in England have both faster top speed, cheaper rate, AND provide a day pass for £5 - almost the same as my 15 minute ride cost me here. It's awfully buggy software at that. The app errored, and would get into a state where it believed I had not unlocked the scooter. Had to restart the app to be able to end the ride. So it probably charged me 1-2€ more until I figured that out. :(
Scooters are underpowered - they often cannot climb hills in Lisbon (single rider, 90kg). The app polices your every step, constantly turning off the scooter when it thinks you are in a pedestrian zone. With the phone in power saving mode, the app sometimes takes about a minute to reacquire the GPS position, and refuses to allow parking while doing so, with the clock still ticking. Their "day passes" (in reality, a couple of 15 minutes rides) are a good deal at current prices though.
What a rip off. Can never end ride, and the only reason the it does end is when it times out. Constantly says network timed out but internet connection is perfect. When you try to report the problem you just end up going around in circles. Judging by reviews it's a lost cause and will never get my money back. Others with iphones seem to have no problem. Absolutely raging and if I could get away with it I would completely trash it and launch it into the sea, ending the missery for future users !!
I have used this service twice in Lanzarote and am deeply disappointed in the use of the app. There is no clear explanation of how to use the app. In selecting a scooter it tells me that the cost is €1 to unlock and €0.22 per minute after that, I was charged €5 straight away on both occasions. It is very difficult to sign off, and even when I filled out the online form to lodge my issue there is no follow up from the service. Great idea and handy if it worked properly. Thumbs down from me!!!
Needs improvement. The instructions to use it are passing too fast and can't be seen. The scooter is not going up the hill, you need to push it. The parking spaces are not properly signaled. It should let you leave it anywhere as there is sometimes impossible to leave it in the designated spaces. The clock of the ride is tricky, shows more time than actually done. It shows zero deposit but hey charge 2.65€ plus the extra time.
It's a bit of a hit and miss with this service on Lanzarote. Sometimes it refuses to end the ride (network error) and sometimes it's absolutely fine. The end ride issue does appear to have a work around - simply move somewhere else, 100 yards in any direction, and trying again seems to solve the issue. Inconvenient, but seems to work and hasn't stopped using it. I contacted Link after we lost credit due to this and they promptly refunded theost credit.
The app is great unless you have an issue with the scooter. One of our party had an issue where the scooter thought it was in a no ride zone and wouldn't give him power, where as we were fine. He's now walking and sucking up the 3 euro charge.....So if it works, it works great!! Way over priced (more expensive than a taxi which could be split by 4) but great fun! Now I want one!!
Since changing from Wind, to Link and now Superpedestrian the prices have sky rocketed, it used to be free to unlock and 12p a minute, now since changing it's £1 to unlock and 15p a minute, you get charged for faulty scooters, when they say there's a problem, and no charge, but find you have been charged, the App has bugs, scooter fail to start or end, say you're not in a parking zone, when in fact you are. It was great when it was link, now it's bad, will cancel my account soon.
The app crashes constantly, doesn't accurately locate you in parking zones to allow rides to end, and it will continue to charge you if you are unable to find a stable connection to end the ride and this can rack up extortionate bills. I recommend you avoid this app and find an alternative. The scooters have to fail safe to end the ride built into them. If your internet carrier has any issues you can expect a several hundred euro bill debited directly from your bank account.
Awful app, awful service. Tried to use this app once in Tenerife, had issues with the ride. Was charged £1.50 to my credit card for a failed ride, so emailed asking for a refund. The charge disappeared from the app, but the funds never appeared back in my account. Now I am just getting canned responses whenever I reply to the email thread. It's not a lot of money, but it is money that they owe me and it's really frustrating. Absolutely do not recommend.
New app and gps configuration. Now i don't randomly slow down when I'm nextdoor to a yellow slow down area. However recently ending the ride simply isn't working. Keeps telling me there is a network error. Well... everything else on my phone works fine. Keep having to reboot my phone to solve the problem. This of course delays me and adds a fee. Irritating.. very Irritating.
I used this in Linz twice, and both times I had a bad experience. No stand for phone, so it takes me longer time to get where I want. I cannot park where I could park with Lime or Tier. Otherwise, the acceleration, breaks, etc is fine. Also the UI could look more modern.
