6 or 7 years ago, Swann used to be a great security system with a great app. But now it is complete garbage. Most of the time the app won't load. When it does load, it almost immediately loses the connection and freezes up. I highly recommend everyone to buy another brand. ANY other brand. Swann, if you have any recommendations, please let me know because I am ready to start a campaign against your products, and I guarantee that I will hit your bottom line.

We've had 2 wireless solar panel cameras and a hardwired flood light camera for about 5 years and they have held up really well. Very happy with the quality of the cameras. The app does not connect well and performs poorly. The MUSIC that plays when a camera goes online or offline is UNBEARABLE. Somebody keeps bringing it back with each update. That annoying music alone (with no way to turn it off) is enough for me to throw these cameras away and get something new. Iffy about recommending these

Ver.4.0.8 has been the worst. The app overall has been horrible but the most recent version crashes ALL THE TIME! Video payback is impossible unless you're on the home wifi. Think you can download one, NOPE! Can't do that either. When, IF you get a video to actually play it's choppy and impossible to understand anyone speaking on the recording. If you're thinking about this system, keep shopping. I was told Swann was one of the best... their app sure does not reflect that referral.

Its ok. Part of the features don't work as stated. The led red and blue alerts don't work, option isn't even on the app, the microphone doesnt work either, both were supposed to be part of the system when purchased. The app has consistent latency issues. Text support is over seas and useless, they're reading from a script and can't assist. The only good thing about the system is the easy installation. Not worth the 900. I paid in m opinion.

We have had our camera systems for well over a year now. What I have found.... if I'm away from home, it takes forever for that camera to show me anything, but I do get the notifications. I use to could pull up the clips fairly quick at home or see activity, but not anymore. Now, it takes a while to even find the clips. That process has changed. But it takes quite a while before I can watch it. And then there's the talking to someone out there..... that has always been horrible.

Better off setting up RTSP and using a third party app. Their tech support tried blaming my internet connection, but it's 110/30. Video is choppy, and there's a sizeable delay even when connected locally. Don't even get me started on their hardware. Regretting the whole purchase. Edit: CLEARLY DID NOT READ MY REVIEW. I have tried calling technical support. They were the epitome of useless. I have switched to EUFY and guess what? No issues whatsoever!

75% the app doesnt let you watch playbacks(just jumps around like crazy) , another 75% of the time you cant open the app nothing will load. The app portion is terrible maybe go with another company over this. I'd like to be able to check my camera when I'm not home....as far as at home operations, displays great on my tv and everything works great.

I'll be taking this junk back to get my money back. Spent 150 bucks for a complete piece of garbage. The camera keeps blinking a blue light and will not connect to WiFi. The app is another story. I've installed it on three devices and it will not even open on any of them. It just keeps shutting down. I would like to suggest that before you release a product, maybe you can make sure it and all its components and apps work properly. I will never purchase another product from Swann...

I have 4 leak detectors. I am currently using 2 of them. they randomly go offline early in the morning and connect a day or more later. Sometimes, they don't reconnect, and I have to remove and add them back to my wifi. what good is a leak detector if it fails to alert you of a leak? It seems to be happening when I update the app. They were fine until the latest update. Maybe If i stop updating the app, it may stop the disconnecting?

Edit: This system couldn't get any worse...complete garbage. Not impressed with the overall functionality of the entire security system. It records endless video of shadows moving and branches in the wind but misses every important instance of movement. Missed most delivery vehicles and an entire herd of deer passing through my yard. The app is glitchy, slow, and refuses to even play back sometimes. I wouldn't buy the system again and wish I could get a refund so I could buy a different system.

The sensors can pick up rain and bugs passing by and record that, but sometimes, when there are people or cars, it won't. It loads EXTREMELY slowly on your phone(sometimes 5 minutes later). Although it does help to keep it in SD until it does, then switch to HD. It never works when you need it, unfortunately. Edit: It constantly crashes, says cameras are offline, doesn't load, stopped sending notifications. When you need it, it's not there for you. way too unreliable. 10/10 do not recommend.

App takes forever to open and 2-3 tries since it crashes on startup. Crashes randomly during use. Closes down completely if you navigate away for more than 5 seconds, but will still be running in the background? Saved videos take 5-10 mins to load. These have been happening for years BUT NOW it's logging me out 3-4 times a day. My phone isn't old, my Internet is fast, the app is updated, and I'm not alone. 100% on Swann for being too cheap to invest in their app.

Absolute trash. Can't even get the camera to sync to any time zone at all, so all recordings have useless time stamps. Connectivity is more miss than hit. Currently (for the 4th time since the app switchover) resetting the device to factory settings, deleting device and reconnecting, and deleting and reinstalling the app in the hopes that it will work for a little while tonight. Deep down, I know I'm just wasting another hour of my life with this process.

The new update sucks!! It won't load! You can barely see anything anymore. No, it's not my connection because I connected to many wifi and mobile data, and it just either won't work or it is EXTREMELY slow. Works well when I see my cameras on my phone from home when i am connected to my own wifi. But what's the point of this if I WANT TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON IN MY HOUSE WHEN I AM AT WORK OR OUT!! Fix this!! It's annoying and truly frustrating as a mom.

Worst camera ever. The app. stops working more often then not. Takes so long to wake up the camera then it is too late,for the motion detection to work the image needs to pass from one side to the other for it to pick up so forget someone walking straight up to the door,real time is not Real time but delayed by about 3 seconds when trying to talk to someone at the door. I will take these back and buy a more dependable model.

App crashes regularly. When a motion notification is received the live view will not open. When you go to the recordings tab it is blank. Luckiky dropbox has the videos. This app is not reliable and unfortunately you cant access your information from the web. Called customer service and they keep having me turn on and off the router. It's not the wifi because it is connected via an ethernet cable. For a security system the cameras work well. You just cant access anything through the horrible app

The good. Camera comes online sooner than it did with the older app. The bad. Notifications sometimes are an hour late. When you get a motion alert notification and open the app and click on notifications you get a live view and not the recording. You have to click on settings then storage to find the alert video. Really? You can do better than this.

We bought these 3 weeks ago and it has been a nightmare ever since!! First the live view alway freezes. You can't view them at all until you trigger the motion sensor and it "unfreezes" them. Second the battery life is horrible. We fully charged camera battery and it didn't even last 24 hours! It didn't detect any motion all day!! The app sucks too. It always crashes, doesn't properly change between modes, and has hardly any in app settings

Since the latest 2 updates the app for the phone is definitely NOT good period. All the recordings have dissappear and all my clips have gone as well. It won't record motion,pet or person clips no matter how many times I troubleshoot. Wifi is great so that isn't the issue, ever since the updates, which I knew I shouldn't have done to begin with, I've had nothing but problems. Having neighborly disputes right now and can't record the harassment. Please fix this ASAP.

No modes. Lights dont come on when motion detected, even though it looks like i have it set up that way. I have to go into settings to even see the motion events?? Swann, get this fixed ASAP. Went from having everything i need to wishing i bought another brand. Edit: Live View rarely works. I can't access recordings from motion. The new app has made my cameras worthless.
