there were issues viewing trips when the app was first released, but they eventually resolved the bug and even called me to follow up! it is tracking mostly ok, but occasionally it doesn't register trips. Scoring is also mostly fair, with the odd overly sensitive result.

I have to do 2-factor authentication just to review my trips. Annoying, and poorly thought out and integrated. If you accelerate to the speed limit just half a second too quickly, and even if it says "rapid acceleration, severity low" it will give you 0.5 out of 5 stars. What's the point of a started rating system if it doesn't give 4 for low, 3 for medium, 2 for fast, and 1 for unsafe? Ridiculous. Battery hog! 12% in 2 hours IN BACKGROUND.

The tracking/scoring is not realistic at all. I always avoid harsh brakes, but no matter what when I drive out of the city, the braking score is always very low. I even tried to slow down and brake way before getting to the stop point and other drivers didn't like it. Answering phone calls, without even touching the phone is also considered as distracting. Not sure what those ones who drive most of the way should do with their phone calls.

beyond horrible. Doesn't even let me review my trips. when I was out of the country counted all my trips, did not allow me to edit and review out. did not allow me to stop the tracking. And now my rating in down to 2? because you app failed. Ridiculous, its time for me to move to a different insurance. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE ADVANTAGE PROGRAM. IT IS PURELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

It's frustrating to have to enter text codes frequently when you want to access the app, even after using your fingerprint.It also takes far too long to load trip to review. past trips should load on your phone in the background for review to speed this up. it would also be best if you were prompted weekly, or after every trip. with a notification to review a trip. There needs to be a way to zoom in on a map to see the details of a trip so you can remember what it was.

whatever changed in the update at the end of January caused major issues with the tracking. The rubric has changed for the tracking of your drives, the smallest imperfection is now worth over 3/5 for any metric we're being judged on in any category. Honestly, this new, rigged system isn't worth the risk of potentially adding 20%-30% to your insurance rates. When I'm up for renewal I am seriously considering discontinuing the use of this tracker all together and just paying the base rate.

Worst Driving App If I could give a score less than 1 star, I would. This app is horrible. We do a lot of highway driving and it calculates that as speeding, gives us low driving scores and then raises our premiums. I've done drives where I am following every driving rule to the letter, I got in to check the app and I've gotten a 1 star drive. You also have to go into the app daily and approve your drives. The app is slow and finnicky and it is a huge time suck.

The app is slow and glitchy. It often doesn't record my trips. The scoring system is strongly weighted against you. 5 stars on 5 driving factors = 25 point scoring. If you get 2 stars for speeding (from only 10k over limit for 1 min duration in a 30 min drive), but got 5 stars in everything else (22/25 points), somehow that makes the overall rating for the trip 2.5 stars. And 90% of my trips are 5 stars, but somehow my average rating is 3.5. Make it make sense.

App doesn't record trips. Despite following all instructions, enabling all permissions, keeping my phone data on... the app simply doesn't record my trips. Since trip data is used to provide insurance discounts, this broken app is probably going to cost me hundreds of dollars of discounts I no longer qualify for. Great. Would give zero stars if I could.

Worst experience with an app ever. I've hardly ever had an easy time logging in and it usually crashes even if I do. I'm currently trying to update my payment information and it's been crashing all day, either by not being able to log me in or crashing as soon as I click on the Billing screen. UPDATE: I posted this in October. It is currently February. I have been having the same issues this entire time.

the app is very slow to load overall and for trips. it doesn't always record trips either. the calculated score on some trips do not make sense. I can have 5 stars for most factors, a 3 and a 2 yet the whole trip ends up being scored at 1. This is disincentivizing me to use it since it's not accurate or intuitive. I used to get 80-90% on the old app. with so many bad reviews it doesn't seem like they actually tested this in real life situations.

This app is such a waste of time, tracking is so bad and asks MFA code everytime I login. It takes ages for the app to load my trips. Sometimes after that, nothing work. Have to close and open again. My bus trips and GO train trips are calculated. I accidentally clicked few GO train/bus trips and couldn't remove them. It thinks I drove the LRT or GO train in a straight line. Just remove the app and discount if you are just wasting people's time.

Terrible app. I'm currently sitting on a score 4.5 after about 90 trips, but it just stopped working. The app is up to date, it still has all the necessary permissions, and my Android version is the most current. I didn't change a single thing to any of the settings, and yet it hasn't recorded any trips since the 24th of Feb even though I completed at least four trips a day and probably covered more than 500km between now and then. It's not the first time I'm having these issues

i really wanted to give that app a chance but it is not a great experience. first issue apps crashes often or do not record the trips all the time . Im definitely certain the issue is not coming from my device . another issue is Inaccurate readings resulting in bad scores, especially in winter. On bad weathers conditions like snow storms or heavy snow good luck trying to get a good score. scores are sometimes inaccurate and there is no way to challenge it when its completely false

Absolute garbage app and just plain dangerous. I've been tailgated so many times, passed where its unsafe, and cut in front of by opposing traffic. All because im trying to drive by TDs "standards". The app isn't even close to being accurate, whenever it decides to record a trip. I got an alarming cornering and .5 stars on a straight freaking road!! I've deliberately driven like a 95 year old to test the app. You will never get 30% discount. It will only decrease, thats what its designed to do

Really slow app, crashes often, randomly flags things as driving like traveling 900km/hr in an aeroplane and others, but TD charges you more if you don't use it. Requires logging in often to remove the incorrect events. If you don't they go against your record. TD will not remove provable errors. They told me that there is no problem having incorrect information on your record. It doesn't break journeys into parts meaning using your phone after you arrive is often flagged as while driving.

Be careful. It continues tracking even after you disable the tracking function, including when you are not driving or when you are carpooling. It shouldnt assume you are driving unless you explicitly confirm that you are. It should assume you are not driving unless you confirm that you were. As it is currently designed, the app is set up in a way that can unfairly lower a user’s score and increase their premium. I am surprised that this approach was approved from a legal standpoint.

I would rate 0 if I could. Never seen such an app that intentionally tricks against the users (i.e., the customers). Extremely slow logging in, waiting forever to load TD advantage trip histories and often running into system breakdown where you could not see the trips at all. Considering they require you review every trip (otherwise they would automatically count each bad trip into your driving records, whether or not you actually were the driver) within 7 days, this is especially crazy.

The tracking algo isnt smart enough to recognize that there could be threats on the road and you might have to swerve or speed up sometimes. It registers phone usage as distractions and cuts your score, so good luck if your passenger is navigating using your phone! Getting 5 stars on braking is next to impossible, and sometimes it detects activities like jogging and running as drives so you'll have to spend a good 10 minutes trying to login and marking "not the driver" on each false trip.

This is one of the most frustrating apps to use: 1. The process to register and get in drains precious time out of my life. 2. It often rates trip low inaccurately due to phone distraction. Maybe because sometimes forgrt phone in pocket and phone shifted while driving. 3. Takes long time to load trips during process of seeing and correcting trips. (suspiciously seems like it is programmed intentionally to deter people from making the corrections of driving or not)
