TED TV

It asked me whether I minded if it recorded my voice searches and I said yes because it said you can edit this later in settings. I tried to edit it in settings and there is no option to change it. Why do they need to record my voice? There's no help option to ask someone how to change it, no contact information to contact them to ask. If you say there is a way to change it via settings then give users the option to change it via settings. It's a really basic thing. If you promise users something then make sure you deliver. Going to uninstall. The categories offer ten videos... Ten videos on politics. Ten videos on psychology. Really? Just ten? That's not enough in my opinion. Really the lack of ability to change settings is the worst thing though. Why lie about it?

What an astonishing disappointment of an app. There is no login mechanism so your viewing info cannot be synchronised with your TED account, and many videos available on the TED website are not available in this app. It looks like they stopped maintaining it two years ago as well. They didn't stop maintaining paid memberships though.

I have a brand new TCL QLED 6 series tv. GoogleOS. All other apps operate properly. I have done all of the common sense fixes several times, like power cycling, clearing the cache, and I even did a full factory reset on the TV. The Ted TV app will not launch. When you select the application icon in the main menu the screen just blinks and remains there, nothing happens. Sending a message to the developers every day, for 6 days produced no response.

On a Chromecast, launching this app does nothing at all, not even blink the screen, though it's "running in the background" if you check "all apps" in your settings. It would appear that this app is not compatible with some (possibly all) Chromecast devices.

This app didn't open on my Sony Bravia TV so I immediately uninstalled it. You can view many excellent Ted talks on YouTube with no problems at all. So I'll continue to do that then instead!

The app won't open on Chromecast. Nothing happens when I click the icon. I have tried reinstalling it multiple times. All you did was create a functionless icon, stick it on the play store, and walk away. Slow clap...

This app has no login option so y can forget using your TED account and lists and watched history! Furthermore, many talks are not available in this app when they are available on the iPhone app! Very strange that they seem to have stopped supporting this app for two years now!

I love TED, but their app won't open on Google TV. Tried again 3 weeks later, same results: it installs, I select it, nothing happens. I uninstall, reinstall, nothing happens. Annoying af.

I can't believe this app doesn't have the highest rating. It's excellent and informative and covers so many different subjects. The speakers are all very prepared with well researched data

app has been uninstalled and reinstalled several times but still won't open on my Sony TV. Only app that doesn't work using Chromecast.

Have to agree with other reviews on this app because on the Chromecast it just does not open. What a useless waste of an application. Avoid disappointment and don't download it.

I'm using 5g network . however i tried various time to open this Ted TV application but it doesn't start in single time.sorry if I could sentence error. $$$$$. App does not start - just has spinner going forever. All other apps work fine so not a network issue. Installed on android mibox. I see another recent review with the same issue.

Better than school. Children and adults will learn more watching this than they would ever be taught at most schools and colleges lol. plus it's free, and you can always find something interesting to watch. And as the saying goes; ' you learn something new every day ' .

In common with reviews from each month of this year, I cannot believe that the app is allowed to be offered. It is a waste of time and effort.

app doesn't open on Google Chromecast HD. Many other apps (all other installed apps) work ok.

if I could leave zero as a rating I would. You just get the spinning wheel of Doom.I have a brand new Sony Google TV this should work without issue.

the app doesn't work on a Google TV it just blinks and goes home it's really horrible to see that happen I was hoping for something better

App has never even opened on my new Android/Google TV. It's been about 6 weeks & still nothing.
