I am writing to share feedback regarding a recent UI change in the side menu for multi-account management. ​In previous versions, additional logged-in accounts were hidden behind a dropdown arrow (as shown in the attached screenshot). In the latest version, all accounts are displayed openly by default as soon as the menu is opened. This change significantly reduces privacy, as someone glancing at my screen can immediately see my other account names and number. I kindly request that you restore

I am having constant connection issues. I reached out to support about 3 months ago with no response and no change in the issues. Reinstalling the app does nothing to fix it. Inconsistent notifications, constant "Connecting..." messages on the tops of conversations resulting in me closing the app 2 - 3 times to try to force-connect... used to be my go-to, now it can't text consistently. Having a conversation is impossible with this app.

I can’t log into the app without buying a weekly premium subscription. My account is many years old, but after being logged out, the app now requires premium just to send an SMS verification code. There’s no option to verify via email or other logged-in devices. This effectively blocks access to existing users and feels like forcing payment to use the app. Very disappointing.

pretty good especially it's ability to send larger files and videos and such. I just wish that the browser where you ngo in to look for your pictures and what not , would navigate further to be able to more easily find and use pictures from other places. And also they need to make your selections compile before adding them to the chat so that you don't have to keep going back and forth through the whole reel of pictures when you're tryin to select several things from somewhere like the acloud

Very unsafe and disappointing app. There are too many bots, and privacy does not feel secure at all. In some cases, even phone numbers are being exposed through bots. Also, only premium users can post stories. A recent update allowed everyone to post stories, but the feature was removed again. This is unfair and frustrating. I have deleted my account and uninstalled the app.😡😡🤬🤬

I wish I could give it 4 or 5 stars but there are a few blaring issues that have caused me quite some grief. The first and most being that in group chats, if you join the chat after everyone else, it isn't possible to see the previous messages unless a setting (which is by default, turned off) gets turned in. Only messages from that point on are shown as well. I accidentally got kicked from a group where we look back at old messages (DnD chat). There's no fix to this either. I cried for an hour.

it's alright. it sucks you can't nickname people but my biggest gripe with it is the notifications. after many hours of googling, I've come to the conclusion that notifications have been broken for a long time. notifications have priority levels unlikely most other apps. if notification priority is "high" or "urgent", it vibrates like normal but bypasses do-not-disturb rules. if the notification priority is set to "medium" or "low", it doesn't play at all.

This app used to be great. It was very secure and easy to navigate. I've been using Telegram since the beginning of 2018, and I might have to leave the app soon because I'm sick of having 10+ strangers/bots message me each day trying to scam me. There should be a way where people can only message you if you add them or something because the nonstop scam/spam harassment is wildly irritating.

good app BUT 1. even though I have it unchecked, the app still notifies me of EVERYONE that installs the app. 2. there's no indication that an incoming call is a video call....and when you answer, your camera is automatically on. I'm sure I'm not the only one to imagine how that can lead to unintended consequences 3. there's also some room for improvement in the call connectivity. on the plus side, stickers are Really nice and varied. the app doesn't use much device space.

telegram is full of a lot of scammers. I kept getting added to groups that I never requested to be in. The groups were so-called jobs that let's you do simple things, but obviously, like most, they never pay out or they want you to pay to get money. I tried a few to get an impression of what telegram is, I wouldn't recommend this chat app to anyone.

What's going on with this app? No matter what I do I'm bogged down with "updating" with what takes forever for anything to load. I've got a great internet connection and get the same thing with 5g cellular data. No other app has this problem and it's not the cache that needs cleared or having the app un-installed and reinstalled... It doesn't need chat memory cleared either bc I've done all that. I can't use any feature and nothing loads because it's *updating*

Edit: this is still a premium only feature, and it shouldn't be! So wrong!! I get so many unwanted messages, but I can't do anything about it because of this. It's just not right! Great app for the most part, but when I got a spam message this morning, I realized you cannot set privacy of who can message you without paying for premium. This should be a free setting ALWAYS!! Forcing users to pay to protect their privacy is sketchy, at best.

update: 8/19/25. still not working! It's the actual telegram "stories" at the top that is frozen.(not contacts) So there is no holding in place to try to remove, so I can't use or see the top 2 chats I need..... Need to fix the stories now at top. It hides and covers all the top conversations so I can't click on them and can't remove the stories easily. please make this so you can hide it or remove the stories you don't want to see and don't want to be forced to have to watch them all.

used to be amazing. have used it for 8 years. half of the features hardly function at all anymore. and if you want a half-decent experience, you have to pay. it used to be a GIVEN (and always should be?) to allow message requests only from known contacts. now you have to pay, and bots are infiltrating the platform. I can't think of a single reason why that feature is now behind a paywall. it's becoming unusable from the spam alone. video memos have been broken for months. voice memos delete.

no privacy at all. denied app permission for contacts, app still synced them. even after finding that setting and turning it off, people with my number saved were auto-informed i had installed app and began messaging me. also getting messages from people i don't know that have my number saved from when it belonged to someone else. also getting random nudes, etc. unable to turn off random messaging without premium account. only got this app to use resistbot, will just go back to sms for that.

The features and function of the app and service are actually really good. Unfortunately it's ruined by crashing literally ever 5 minutes on all my Samsung devices. update: 7-2025 still crashes.... still restricted. no explanation. no responses.

My account was frozen for no reason. I know for a fact I did nothing wrong. The bot is useless and keeps telling me "You've already submitted a complaint recently. Our team’s supervisors will check it as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience." It's been several days now and there is no way of contacting support through the app because my account is frozen. Worste part is that I, regrettably, subscribed to annual premium a couple hours prior to my account being frozen 😤😡🤬 Please help?

Best app for privacy compared to whatsapp. There is one issue I want to raise. on the previous versions, when I want to upload and save files on telegram, it was giving me "saved messages" as the first option. but now I have to search it among the chat lists manually. please take it back to the previous versions option. otherwise, overall telegram is the best one for everything.

Doesn't work in New Zealand when switching to a new phone. Prompted country code and number, but formatted the number weird. When I went the next step to get a confirmation text, it switched screens and said a sms won't be sent and to enter an email instea. Got the code in email, it worked, then sent me back to the screen to enter the text code, but nothing was sent. Chose the option to receive a call, but that didn't work either. I don't want to create anew account so I guess I'm deleting it 😔
