Chill with the ads, I understand the need for it during extended play, but I swear going from one page of the menu to the next may or may not cue some random ad. And now the ads aren't just video, but video and about 15 seconds of "tempting" play. No I don't want to solve the puzzle. Thanks. (Other than that the game is fine.)

I've come back to this game multiple times. I'm always able to restore my progress, and there's something new every time. It may seem repetitive sometimes, but changing maps helps a lot, since they're more than just different appearances. There are way too many things to unlock, so completionists have something to look forward to. Is there a discord or somewhere we can talk about the game and maybe compare/ brag about scores?

I used to play this have a lot. I was trying to get into it again, but the ads have almost made the game unable. They have three different x's and have multiple waiting periods between them. and this is after every death. My kids wanted to try it and they are new at it so they die often, and they spend more time in ads than the game. Not worth it any more. Edit: I understand ads are required to make money... the ads for this game were just worse than any other AP I have come into contact with.

The first one is better. Temple Run 2 has some things that are better, like more obstacles and maps, but I feel like the pacing isn't as good. It just feels slower. Too slow. It's a little hard to explain, but this second one also feels more repetitive. The transitions around turns are also smoother in the first one. And, the animations for powerups look better in the first one. So, it's decent, but I like the first Temple Run more. I would give more detail, but I'm at the max letter amount.

Ads are ACTUALLY reasonable. They're not shoved in your face every few seconds. You actually get to CHOOSE whether to watch an ad or not revive; and if you get one anyway, there's a skip button once you watch 5 seconds. There's not even ONE ad though if you don't have Wi-Fi. At first the characters look lazily pasted, (like Scarlett Fox's eyes) but that can be forgiven when there's awesome ones (Karma's hood). The game works like subway surfer, but it's better. The maps are amazing, as far as mobile game graphics go. The controls, while a bit tricky at first, are easy to get the hang of. Overall, great game for those days when I'm bored.

With most games, sooner or later, I feel I've gotten all the enjoyment I can out of it, and I uninstall to make room for something else. Temple Run 2 always manages to add some new and fun tweak to keep me coming back. One new QOL feature it desperately needs: an easier method to select a character or hat other than going through one by one, which takes too long thanks to the sheer numbers. Add that for five stars.

This game truly has the best gameplay and rewards system of any game I've downloaded. It is challenging, but not impossible to the point of frustration. While you have the option of buying power-ups if you want the instant gratification, you can also earn enough to progress just by investing the time into the game. Ads are used sparingly and are generally not intrusive and do not disrupt game play. I wish other developers followed your lead!

Edit....I thought I would give this game another shot. Waste of time. Worse then the first time. Way too many ads. It downloaded 3 games from the ads that I didn't want. Save your time and skip it. Uninstalling immediately. It's just ok. Controls are very unresponsive. I swipe to jump or slide and it only works about half the time. I'm betting it's designed that way on purpose to get you to spend money. Way to many ads even for a "free" game.

I like this game. It's addicting and entertaining. The global challenges are hard but fun to try. BUT the Ads are execxisve and they dont even have a sound off option. I play while listening to audiobooks. The ads don't pause the audio automatically the way a notification would, and when the ad is on the screen, there's no "off" to turn off the sound. It's so loud too.

Temple Run is one of my favorite mobile games of all time! I have been playing this game for many years - it is a fun way to focus and pass the time on airplanes or doctor's office. Graphics are cool. If you want extra stages/maps you will pretty much have to pay, as it is very difficult to get enough gems. Otherwise, objectives make it motivating to play, and you can choose boy or girl character. Great game

I used to love this game, i really did. However there was a large update a few years ago that made the menu extremely difficult to navigate, there's so many more adds, and my progress got practically removed. OH YEAH and i can't even find map options! But oh we have COIN SKINS. I wish i could go back to the old menu, i could actually use it normally. This game makes me really sad, i don't like the direction it went at all.

Not over challenging. Good game to kill time with. Update 9/18/2025. Game sucks. Went through an update I lost half the characters I already won. I had over 65k gems lost all those. Cannot choose which power up the character uses, what is shown in their profile is not what is active in the play screen. Way to ruin something that was fine as is. Don't download.

I grew up playing Temple Run and absolutely loved it. Temple Run 2 was even better because it had more characters. I especially loved Karma Lee and her Shadow Walker outfit. Still do, but now the game itself isn't as good as it used to be. The game looks pixelly, the menu screen has waaaayyy too much going on, there's a new pets thing I can't figure out, the simple old menu that I loved is just gone. I'm so disappointed! I'll still play but it's just not as fun as it used to be.

This game is great. It has amazing graphics, controls and gameplay for this type of running game. It updates frequently, and at the time I am posting this, the Frozen Festival Christmas 'Santa's Little Helper' event has just ended. The only reason that I didn't rate it 5/5 is because there are condtant ad pop-ups. Otherwise, this is a brilliantly addictive time killer!

I did enjoy this game when it first came out, it's been a while but I stopped playing because of the bugs & glitches I kept encountering. maybe the devs have fixed them by now, when i get my new phone ill give it another shot!! 3/5 (4-10-2019) Updated... I gave it another try on my new phone & it worked perfect. I love Temple Run 2 as much as the 1st. Nothing bad to say. I unlocked 105 out of 107 achievements & own all characters & almost all maps. I've gotten pretty good at it!! 5/5

This is a pretty awesome game, and I love it! I think that having so many characters is kinda odd, because you only ever see their backs while running. There are ads but if you just turn on Airplane Mode they're gone. I don't like how rare jewels/gems are, and that it costs 500 to unlock a new biome. But I would advise it, great game overall.

I love this game, but there are some issues with it. About once a week my character gets stuck on one side. I have to completely shut down the game for to work properly. Also some of the daily challenges are way to long, where they take several games to complete. I'd like to see challenges that you can complete quickly. Other than that I love all the new characters and maps!

I'm a casual off/on player of games. The most important attribute of TR for me is the fact that it is ALWAYS ready to play: you don't have to wait 30 minutes or ish like that for lives to be restored, or have to buy them. I also like the fact that it is much much less of a "Pay to win" than some other Glitch-infested games - e.g. Angry Birds Pop. Don't get me wrong, like all games, it has it's surprises, but it's accessible and fun across ages.

Addicting game! and I'm not the gaming type at all. The graphics are great. That said, the controls glitching gets my character killed more than honest mistakes. Half the time when I swipe left or right to turn, the game doesn't register that I did. Or there are new elements halfway through that tutorials did not prepare for. The ads are longer than a typical life, also. Concept? 5*. Controls & ad overkill? Knocked it to 3* (I almost put 2*). 😒

Mindless, challenging fun. I enjoyed this game since 2013, but am giving up on it. The advertisements have become increasingly frustrating and intrusive, and my account was reset back to nothing unlocked. I was always a F2P player, but the game no longer holds my attention enough to make me interested in trying to recollect everything to where I'd been.
