I honestly had something happen to me that I have never encountered before. Text Free Blocked/Restricted my Account shortly after I created the Account. I created my account, bought the Plus subscription for $4.99 immediately and next thing I know, my account is restricted for some unexplained reason. I wasn't in the app for 2 minutes, never made a call or even texted anyone so I am not sure what that was about. I reached out to customer service but that was no Help. I am disappointed.

Pretty good App, even tho calls are choppy sometimes. It's free! I wish we could keep our nbrs without making a call every month (easy to forget), paying a monthly fee. Just pay a lifetime fee -$20? Also, I wish the ADS didn't take up 1/2 of the screen & appear after every text sent or phone call. I have a long & wide screen but the ADS still takes up half a page. I wish the ADS would stay at the bottom of the screen like they were before. I can't complain TOO much. App is free! BIG PLUS!

Everything I get a code sent to my hotmail account, I enter the 6 digit code, and then it says too many failed attempts, get another code. its just one big loop of this. so it absolutely does not work. junk app. what good is it if you can't ever enter your code from your email. this seems like it should not be on a app like this. I figured they would have debugger it a little better before releasing it on the play store. I can only imagine how hard app must be to use if its this hard to log in

The paid subscription might be worth it but the ads for the free version are random & intrusive, forcing calls to drop & the app to crash when it can't handle ad processing. Furthermore, the app is slow, glitchy & sometimes unresponsive. I've used this app on 3 separate phones & the experience has been steadily subpar. I suggest only using the app is you absolutely must. Otherwise, there are better options, just search & read the reviews.

As a broke college student, I can't afford a phone plan, so I decided to download this app and use it for everything from talking to classmates to communicating with employers about scheduling. The app runs fine, if not a little slow, but other than that, I dislike it. Every time I try to call anyone, the call automatically hangs up, & anytime I need a verification code to log in to Indeed or Uber, I can't. I can't migrate to another app since I've done that time & time again with other apps.

OMG the ADS are the WORST I've seen in ANY APP! They make using this app almost impossible if you have a cheap phone with not a lot of storage! They aren't just picture ads, oh no. video ads take up the bottom half of the screen, and there are still banner ads and pop up ads in between every call text or screen change you do of any kind! just ridiculous!! It's just too much to even try to use as a secondary phone line! it's slow and takes forever to open, can't answer calls even!! ugh 😫

Extremely simple to use and straight forward app. Yes, there are ads. Yes, they can be annoying. However, you're able to call/text with a legitimate phone number without spending literally anything so the ads are really ok as far as I'm concerned. They don't make you do anything to "earn points/time" like some other apps do. I'm sure the paid account is much better but it works perfectly for what I need it for as is.

Ads takes up 50% of the screen. Lame. Automatically uploads all phone contacts to the app, forces you to allow permissions, but then just steals your data immediately. I literally never wanted that. This app is for a different set of contacts than my Phone contact list. What a POS data robbing mess. It also tries to trick you into paying upfront, but you can use the close/open to escape the one-way strong arm attempt to charge your phone for the "Free" service.

App works, but the ads can be very intrusive, to the point they take over the whole screen while you are typing. update, now the ads open a separate browser window while you're typing, taking your focus away while trying to use the app. im about to uninstall the app due to how intrusive the ads have gotten. it was fine when they were just on the screen, but now you can't finish typing a message before it opens a new browser tab.

This app is NOT free! 2 days after installing and setting up, it is trying to force me to pay $9.99 to get confirmation codes. It shows you have received one, but won't show it to you unless you pay. I wanted this app so I didn't have to give my real phone number, to keep from getting spam texts to my primary number. Don't tell people this service is free with ads, only to hold messages hostage unless a subscription is paid.

This app sucks. Calling is horrible. Whenever I get a call and answer the call, the phone still never stops ringing. This app also hasn't been updated within the last 5 years. This app is grossly mismanaged. They care about pushing more ads, than they do providing a service. I bought into the paid edition back in 2018 & it reverted me back to the free version. Use another VoIP alternative.

This app is free and works for what you needed to. well for me that's mostly texting however when I try to call or receive a call I can't hear the caller. Be that as it may it is loaded with ads. The foreground data which you can't restrict is absurd in its usage compared to all the other apps on my phone I would probably say 400% more data is used by this app than any other app. If I could port this number out I would and stop using this app.

For a quick and easy Text Messaging service, this appears to be working fine within home based wifi range; delays expected. As a Voice-to-Text service, the app does not work. As an emergency call line, the app does not work; dropped calls, vocals break-up both on incoming and outgoing calls, five unanswered outgoing calls results in suspension. Adds cover half to two thirds of the screen.

This app is overall fairly great, I can text as advertised- despite some very...dumbly placed ads but you can't get verification codes without a premium subscription. That's dumb to me, because that's one of the only reasons I needed a number in the first place- what, with so many other communication apps. There should be an option to watch an ad for codes or something..

The ads are ridiculous. Android users are supposed to be able to pay for a Weekly subscription for $4.99. But apparently we can't anymore. They want to force us in to paying $9.99 a month. I don't need all that extra stuff. I have a monthly cell phone plan that I get it through. I just want an ad free experience and I don't think I should have to pay $9.99 a month for it. TextNow is so much better because, not only is their plant à la carte, you can do tasks to get their premium stuff for free.

If you want this to get any kind of verification codes from a business or anywhere, they won't let you receive codes without a paid subscription. Its a rip-off. The name is a lie. Anything useful is not free, and it's loaded with ads, and they threaten to delete your number all the time. There are much better apps for this purpose than this scam.

It was good in the beginning ... quick set up, easy to use, and free. After a while, it got difficult. Locking, freezing, and consistent dropped calls. My final straw was picking it up and trying to use it like normal, except that every "new" number I'd select would either be inactive or already snatched up (even though it was made available to choose from). I reached out for real-time support, but I got no help either. I'm shopping around for a different app. I'm no longer using this one.

After you download and familiarize, the app forces you to rate it with 👍🏼👎🏼. After that, it's downhill - App is slow to open and navigate. Way too many ads. Ads interup your texting and slows you down from getting your message done and sent. Calls do not connect, even though it shows that it is. You have to keep calling back the same person before you can hear each other. I guess thats what you get for a "free" service. 🤭

This app worked great .. until last week. Suddenly, I couldn't send texts or make calls. I tried everything short of deleting the app. I reached out to customer service, only to get an automatic response. I've contacted cs twice since, with no response at all. As a last attempt to resolve the issue, I uninstalled and reinstalled the application, only to be locked completely, I cannot even sign in anymore.

EXTREMELY disappointed with this app, and the fact that I paid for the full version! I used it for work for less than 2 weeks, and here's what happened: Not only was there static and echo on most calls, but 3 times my calls connected to a completely different party than who I was attempting to reach. Scary! Additionally, I was blocked from making calls or texts for 24h, impacting my ability to reach out. I've stopped using this app and am now using Google Voice until I find better.
