Really like the app but has recently started the irritating habit of asking me to log in again and then, apparently, struggling to do it. Really takes the gloss of it. Edit 09/02/25. Now I have insurance it would be nice to be able to view it on the app. Asked me to log in. Doesn't recognise my password. Asked for a code, 3 codes and 3 cycles later I am still no nearer being able to see my policy documents or details of any renewals.
It's easy to use and you can track your helping vehicle on the map live. And the staff are very helpful and friendly. The company in total deserves 5 stars, they deserve each penny they charge me. They fix my car every time quickly and efficiently. Every time we upgrade they give us a very good deal. If I would keep something in my life forever it would be the AA policy. thank you for being there
First time using the app, & I have found it really easy to use. I reported my incident, had the car located on a map & a few seconds later I had a call to find out what my problem was, & I was given an approximate time for assistants. I really could not want any better help. 5***** from me
A while back I would have given 4⭐ as a breakdown app it was fine, adding AA car insurance seemed a good idea, sadly the app can't cope with it because according to their agents as I have a joint breakdown policy my car insurance won't appear on my app, my partners does for him because he's the primary breakdown policy holder. 30 plus minutes on the phone and still it's not resolved!
Old version worked fine, then AA updated it and I can no longer log in, instead I am in an endless loop asking for my details, telling me I have an account, then asking for the same details and back to square one. AA support have been hopeless, refusing to acknowledge that this is a known problem and just suggesting I try again in a few minutes. Very disappointed with this. 10/3/26 - update, response from the AA was simply to tell me to phone the app support team and close my non complaint.
I used the app to call for a mechanic to help me with my car breakdown. It was a simple process, and I could track his arrival in the app. I received an email ten minutes in, then soon after a telephone call from the mechanic to ask questions. He arrived 40 minutes earlier than planned. I was soon on the road home. Excellent service.
The app is easy to use and there seems to be plenty of things to explore within the categories that are available. At the moment I haven't had to use the breakdown part and long may it continue.
Update 18.12.25 App now seems to be working again, no problem logging in or staying logged in. Hopefully all is now sorted. The problem was: constantly asking to login, but after entering correct details it just keeps on asking to login again and again and again. This app worked fine until this last couple of days, not sure what happened but now it's virtually unusable. Very concerning in the case of locating you if a breakdown occurs.
Since last using AA for breakdown you now have to use an app. setting up an app would have been impossible if I hadn't been at home. Getting a code by email or text on my phone to confirm it me is impossible switching back and forth between screens that revert back to the begining page of the app. Luckily I was home and could access emails on my computer. I'm sure now it's set up it will be easier.
The APP is very useful to me for maps which helps with planning my route with more than one choice of route to my destination.It also gives me the chance to get a quick and reliable response if needed, ie, breakdown, nearest petrol station, accident etc. Been a member for many years and would not be a car owner without being a member of the AA.
Dreadful! I have a Unihertz Titan 2. This is the only one of the Apps from my previous phone that will not run on it! freezes after throwing up splash screens!
So easy to report breakdown and always piece of mind knowing your in safe hands, the best breakdown service by far, i always recommend the AA to all.
would be good to have an option to add extra details about breakdown when reporting fault. Otherwise really easy to use.
Had a broken coil spring after hitting a pothole. Used the AA app to recover me & thomas followed me to the garage after confirming it was a broken coil spring. Used the parts & garage cover & they authorised the repairs. Excellent service from the moment i used the app. Definitely recommended.
I can't seem to access the section where your car details are like mot , tax ,insurance were , I've been a member for over 40 years or more. it looks like app has been updated , it keeps asking to login but doesn't get anywhere. why fix something when not broke. please sort out asap or just scrap app altogether. you add on features & then either remove or update & thats when issues appear .The app was fine when it was working.
I've checked this app every now and then to check it's all up and running ok, and it's been fine. Today I've broken down on the motorway, and this app was absolutely useless, it had logged me out for some reason, then it wouldn't let me log in, just kept returning to the login page. then when I finally did manage to log in, it wouldn't let me report a breakdown by pressing the screen, But it would let me report a crash!🤷♂️ Very disappointed with it when needed as a crucial time.
The app is well designed and very easy to use for requesting assistance and tracking its progress. I wish there was a refresh button on the tracking page so that you don't have to keep coming out and going back into the page to get the latest updates as well as an easy way to contact an agent in the app, which was only possible by through the AA website.
There's no point to this app, it's rubbish. Just adverts and up-selling and not much useful at all. I had a roadside and the person on the phone, and recovery guy was fantastic but the app didn't help- tracking didn't work, my location wasn't even passed on to the phone operator.
Dead easy to log a breakdown in App, immediate response and able to track progress in app.
everything is advertised to direct you to the app, actually when you are dealing with an "incident " in my recent experience everything is dealt with via email/text and the web page, makes it very difficult to keep track of
