Ten times better than the website! The website has a floating window that blocks your view of every page, has a tiny x that is impossible to hit without clicking on the window, and reappears on every page. It was so bad I was only able to check the bee on my computer. The app doesn't have that floating window, the ads aren't intrusive, and articles loaded way faster. One problem is that articles that have an embed on the website just show up blank in the app.
I subscribed to the Babylon Bee and got the app after someone mentioned you can "extra-follow" by subscribing. It's one of the only extras I paid for each month, and it is totally worth it. I can download podcast episodes to listen to anywhere, which is my favorite part of the app, and if you don't have social media, you can see articles here as they are published. 10/10 recommend.
Love the Babylon Bee, but the app... I have yet to listen to an entire podcast (downloaded) without some error resetting it back to the beginning. Could use better controls on the podcast, and not sure why a downloaded podcast takes so long to stream, downloads should have their own section. Wishlist: ability to download the video version of the podcast
The Bee is great, but the app no longer works. When I log in, it asks me to agree to their rules, and I check the boxes to agree, but then there's no way to proceed from there. The "Proceed" button is buried too low on the screen for me to be able to click it.
Great content. App sucks.I get a notification by email, or on my phone. In neither case does the app remember that I'm logged in and allow me to see or respond to what I wrote. Someone responds to something I've written, I don't know what I wrote because the context isn't included and I can't follow any links anywhere anyhow to the text that I wrote on the social media side of "not the bee". They must have the same app developer as a daily wire, because their app sucks also.
Don't let the rating fool you. I love the Bee. My issue is with app functionality. Every time I pause the podcast it resets back to the beginning of the episode. Since I primarily listen at work, I need to pause frequently. Please fix this issue so I can go back to giving you the 5-star rating you deserve. (It would also be great if the app remembered your place for next time when you close it in the middle of a podcast, but that's not as important.)
The app crashes my phone when I try to go to past podcast. I am a subscriber and I have an hour commute. Ive been going back and listenig to the podcast prior to my subscription. Today the podcast would not load and it completely locked my phone down for nearly 2 hours. I could not turn my phone off. Tried every trick in the book. This is the first time this happened however anytime i go back to past podcast it glitches.
Clever, hilarious, and right on point! Love The Bee!
Have you ever been blocked by an app? Today I opened the app and turns out i'm blocked from visiting babylon bee website. Which is weird. No use keeping the app now. In terms of entertainment stories, you might need to dig around before something tickles your funny bone, but it's allright. I respect the sponsored stories, they are mostly well done, rather than being annoying and shoehorned.
Used to work, but, now you are asked to agree to all terms and conditions, but the "Proceed" button cannot be used, as it is too low on screen to select. Everyone is having similar issues in this thread
I love The Bee, but the app seems broken. There are great article suggestions following an article, when tapped the link turns yellow and does nothing. I must then tap the "back button" to return to the previous list of articles. It would be wonderful to traverse the wealth of satirical articles one right after the other. I'll happily give 5-stars once this issue is either explained (as part of the joke perhaps) or fixed.
Excellent app. Providing the much needed comedy in our times. The only thing I can think of that would improve it, is by having a widget that shows headlines. Sometimes the icon isn't enough to remember. Off to read some more now, and thank you.
So this is my favorite app and one of only ones that has permission to send me notifications. That should tell you all you need to know, but if you're still curious I would say that almost everything is funny, and the podcast is the best part. You should probably also subscribe to the Babylon Bee.
You all do a great job at the bee, in such hostile times it is nice to have a source of comedy that isn't too political. Especially when it challenges something I believe. Keep up the good work guys! Also y'all should consider a dark theme for the app.
Love the Bee, but the app is terrible. There is no skipping ahead or backing up without it freezing and sounding like a scratched CD skipping. I have to restart the app, sometimes my phone, to get it to play properly.
This app constantly crashes. I have tried everything that I can and it will not work. I previously wrote a review and some how it disappeared, so here I am again.
It's satire. It's right on the page. It's been confirmed: some individuals and possibly the entire staff at Snopes may not be able to read too good. Which has me wondering who's been writing all their articles all this time... But as for the Bee, yeah it's not usually mostly not un-bad some of the time.
Floweebed....flowerbed to the tenth power. This app is amazing and the podcast are a great help to my day at work. I always look forward to every new episode they come out with. I also hope they never become less awkward.
For the life of me I don't know why the Babylon Bee keeps blocking me from use. It says it may have banned me for writing malicious content but I can't write in the forums as I'm not a joined member. I do read the articles and have a laugh at them, but it's asking me to email some 3rd party company and go around and around to object to being blocked. I can't be bothered with all that. I just uninstalled it.
This is a great app! I love the bee. One minor issue though. When playing the podcast the play/pause/stop controls in the notification center will not go away after closing the app. Great job on the app!
