The CW

It's a great app. Except for the crashing and error all the time. Watch a couple minutes then error. Get it going again, error. If this issue would be fixed then I'd rate it a 5* no problem. Have deleted and reinstalled and then cleared cache and nothing helps. Still says error and then crashes. Have to Uninstaller then reinstall just to be able to watch it again. Gets very annoying.

Too many ads! Especially at the end of every episode! Episode ends, ad plays, end credits roll and then bam. another ad before next episode. Ad after ad after ad. When you click on what you were watching, it doesn't pickup where you left off. You have to click on the line at the bottom of the screen to pickup? It was confusing at first, but it's an okay feature I guess. Other than that, it's an okay app.

I downloaded CW so I could see the fourth season of a show I have been watching. I thought I could handle the ads, wouldn't be that bad. You barely get 4 minutes of the show then you have to watch what they say is 2 minutes but ends up being two and a half minutes of ads which equals to about 5 ads each time. It's hard to stay with the program when they're so many interruptions with all these ads. The worst part is they're the same ads within each episode. it's just not enjoyable.

Ads are outrageous. If you minimize the app on your phone to answer a text message, then immediately go back, you have to watch all the ads for the entire episode. The timer will say 1 minute left, but will give you 6 of the exact same commercial! It also never recognized what I had watched to list on my 'continue' page. Not competitive with other options.

Lots of great shows on the CW, and I really don't mind having to watch ads, but this app is just awful! It constantly freezes or gets stuck in loops and then crashes. Then, when I go back in to it, it doesn't remember what show I was watching, let alone continue at the point where I was in it when it crashed. Very frustrating. I only watch streaming TV and none of my other apps freeze or get stuck in loops like the CW app does so I really don't think it's my internet service.

This would be perfect if you had a way to pay for no commercials like the CBS app. But with the commercials that play 3 times in a row its just hard to stay interested in the actual show. I'd almost rather just wait for it to come out on Netflix.... I literally just watched the same exact ad 7 times in a row, how did anyone ever think something like that was a good game plan for their service?!? Someone really needs to rethink this and fast, especially when there are streaming services with no ads at all.... Which I think I'll go watch now actually.

So there are adds, but watching free TV is worth it. I dont have internet or a cable, so my phone is pretty much my lifeline to new shows. If you can't stand unskipable adds, then maybe try something else. But if you're like me and don't really care as long as you don't get adds every 5 minutes, then it seems worth it so far. The only thing I find kinda annoying is that it will pause if you minimize the app, no handy dandy smaller window like YouTube.

Your app doesn't work! On my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra I have to close and open the app a dozen times for it to finally work. Every other time I get "an error has occured." On my smart TV, it won't let me pick certain episodes of my show I want to watch. And it doesn't save my progress in this series I've been watching. So I have to try to remember what episode I'm on, so if I close the app or watch on a different device, I can try to pick up where I left off. Fix your stuff!!!

The old app worked well. Now you can't select the episode you want, and you have to watch a trailer before you can watch anything. Commercials were in the appropriate places now you get Commercials every where you go, along with the additional commercials in the episodes. I used to watch episodes, and the app would just go to the next episode. Now you have to start the whole process over. It's not worth it anymore. Im done.

Horrifying since they redid their application. ALWAYS cuts off while watching the episode. You never get to finish your episode now, but you can watch as many commercials as you want. They also screwed up their home page. It is incredibly confusing, and now there is no way of being able to tell where your shows are or which shows even have new episodes. Lots of junk cluttering up everything. They really need to go back to the way things were.

One of the worst streaming services I've ever used. 2.5min ads every 5 minutes, and sometimes it would glitch and restart the ads so I would have to watch 5 minutes of ads. Careful not to bump your phone wrong, because if you back out of the movie and go back in, you have to watch another 2.5min of ads. Want to fast forward? Ad. Rewind? Ad. I think I watched more ads than movie.

Those leaving good reviews must be scams. this app is awful. one of the worst. I accidentally pressed the "learn more" on an ad, and it wouldn't replay where I left off. the app made me restart the episode with a 3 minute ad, then another 3 minute ad when I skipped ahead to where I left off. then another 3 minutes and 30 seconds after that. I understand the ads make it free, but when you push 9 minutes of ads straight before the content plays, you quickly lose customers that way. fix it!!!!

literally unusable. I don't understand how companies whose entire product is streamable shows, can't make an app that works. The ad loads are an issue nearly every time. God forbid I pause in the middle of something and attempt to resume later. I just get caught in an endless stream of "continue/restart?" prompts that do nothing but prompt me again, regardless of what I push. Casting seems to work about 33% of the time. It has some shows I wanna see, but can't function enough to show me any.

Works great for streaming. Absolutely exasperating to find where you left off if you can't watch something in one sitting. Should be able to resume where you paused/stopped, without having to search and wait for all the repetitive and excessive number of commercials. **update 12/21: now it seems that at times this app will get stuck in commercials mode, looping them successively, never ending. Have had to completely give up watching shows, mid episode, because the commercials wouldn't end.

The app is fairly broken. Skipping and jumping if you use it for more than two shows. It often wants to autoplay some random show instead of the next episode of the show you just watched. I had to reboot the app and it started the episode at the very beginning, fast forwarding got sticky and didn't go as far as I needed but it wouldn't let me do anything until it played a dozen ads. Then forwarded it more and was forced to wait for a dozen more ads. Should be better.

The app itself serves it's purpose well, but it's a little laggy when trying to scroll down to look at the episodes. It could be reorganized to be just a little more user friendly, but otherwise it's fantastic. I really love that the episodes are available very quickly after originally airing, which is really nice for me because I prefer to watch as soon as I can the next day. The ads during the episodes are annoying, but I understand that it's necessary when they offer a streaming service for free. I really appreciate being able to have this app since I almost never watch episodes during their original air date and time.

You can watch shows the next day for free. I hate having to wait a year for Netflix to add a season of a show. Downside is app has every bug an app can have. Shows freeze and freeze and freeze (oddly, the ads never freeze) rewind and fast forward may cause freeze ups or additional ads(which you can't fast forward)... and at least 18 ads per show. App behaves just as badly on my TV.

I really enjoy this free app. The only only price you pay is having to watch some commercials. Other than that it's great! But it would be better if they would update a few things like the series notification list to include all series, a search bar that you can zoom full screen on your devices and give you an option to make your favorites list maybe even rate each episode.

Came here for a particular series, and the experience is awful. There are 5 ad breaks per episode, with the same 4 to 5 ads per break. That makes it a minimum of 20 ads per video, with no ad free option. And that's if you don't have to skip to find out where you left off. I'm currently stuck in an ad loop where I skip back, but get caught in an ad, only to end up back where I needed to rewind from. If I see the same Kevin Hart ad one more time, I'm throwing my phone into oncoming traffic.

Although I'm grateful for this free app, there are so many glitches. Often times I have to stop what I'm watching & pick up where I left off later, sometimes on different devices. That being said more times then not I have to start all over again because where I left off wasn't saved. When I try to fast forward to find my spot I have to wait through commercials before I can even see if that's where I left off. If it's not, more fast forwarding (or rewinding) then more commercials. Frustrating!
