The Office: Somehow We Manage

Since my original post and subsequent edit, I have revisted the game. The event leaderboards seem to have issues fairly consistently with portraying my position prior to the end of the event. Also, it's seeming more and more that automating later desks is stuck behind a pay wall. Towards the end of the event, cards I need to automate the last desk are not available via the Schrute bucks payment option nor are they in the gift baskets. However, the option to pay for them with money always exists

Great game if you like The Office and enjoy a buggy app that frequently crashes along with laggy response and 3-second pauses every couple of minutes. I started playing this game 4 years ago, after about a year I had a crash, wiped out ALL my progress. Support basically said "sorry", gave me a few Scott coins and said reinstall and start over. I quit playing for a year then decided to try again to see if it got any better. Crashed again yesterday, will not start at all anymore - it's dead.

Game used to be fun... They picked a new ad company and it's next to impossible to play the game with a 30 second ad with a 15 second "are you sure you don't want to buy our stuff" ad. I finished all levels and the game glitched. All my cards rest to 0 and I lost all progress. I reached out to support more than 3 times over a year. They said a fix is coming and no solution. The fix finally came and my cards are still zero.... Don't play this game it's a waste of time.

Honestly this game is not worth the download. Its appealing if you like the office. But it is very laggy the starting load time to enter the game takes too long. Everything has a slight glitch or lag when buying stuff. Also for a big name company putting out this game it is riddled with ads and ways to pay that are blatantly in your face wont go away please buy me type stuff. A little subtlety will go way further for me. Definitely a pay to win game.

The single glitchiest and most problematic app I've ever downloaded. Even with dual-band wifi, it still crashes 20+ times a day, citing "no internet connection" - as if! There's no point in filing a report bc you just get the same generic excuses that they make here in their replies. Just like the stolen cards and progress from the "glitch" a couple years ago that they never gave back, nothing helpful ever comes from interacting with them. My love for the show is the only reason I keep playing

I want to love this game. I love idle tycoon games. I love The Office. Seems like a perfect match. Sadly, the app is very buggy, prone to crashing, freezing, and longer loading times than any other mobile app that I use. Not to mention more than half the time I watch a rewarded ad, all the way through, I'm not given any sort of reward. Highly disappointed. Feels like a rushed, unfinished app.

The game is fun to play, and directly correlates with The Office show, having "episodes" you progress through. At first, it's a lot of fun, but as you get later into the game, it becomes VERY difficult to progress through the game without micro transactions. If you're not willing to buy anything with real money, (as the average consumer isn't), be prepared to be stuck on one episode for days, and then weeks, waiting for the right cards, or attaining enough coffee to be able to progress forward.

Enjoyed the game for a while but a few months ago, they literally lost a good part of my progress in the game. Multiple characters and decor that I had near max completely reset to the beginning. Their response was to send me Scott coins which was a laughably low amount considering how much it would cost to get back to where I was. Needless to say, I haven't started the game since. Any game that can't reliably save progress is a complete waste of time. Just avoid the inevitable frustration.

Literally can't get the game to open past 52% on the loading screen Edit: After playing this game for two years I have to say I'm really disappointed with the development team. I loved this game but the lag, the skips, the prizes that don't get added when you earned them. I'm over it. I finally un-installed this game. Emailed developers back and forth for two years. Everytime they said "OH for your troubles we are gifting you _____" only for it to never appear. It was a nice thought. Good luck!

Still havent fixed the app; since updating, I quite literally can't load into it. I keep getting error messages 46 or 0 over & over when I "reboot." I tried everything but uninstalling. And when I COULD play it, the game lags is awful, interferes when I make calls (or just won't load at all), takes forever to load, & its almost impossible to ever get the "real reward" for the mini-games in time. The "report" suggestion only mentions iOS. I could say more, but thankfully, app stores have a limit.

I just really wish I could enjoy this game as much as I want to. It should be at least 4 stars. The reason it isn't is the same as a lot of bad reviews on here. It's laggy, crashes a lot, doesn't always load properly, and a new bug lost me all of my decor and made the main game completely unplayable. Events would be so much fun if they loaded properly. A 22 hour event is great, but when you can't actually get into it for the first six hours, it's nearly impossible to progress. Broken game.

I want so badly to give e this a higher score. Sadly three is my nice score. I love the trailer park boys game so I am confident that the office game will get better. Edit. Game crashes are Way less. I'm very happy about that! I have sadly participated in many events in the ge and not received the rewards afterwards. That's a real bummer guys! Still playing because I still believe in the developers and love the office. It would be great if you could fix this bug. Maybe some new events.

The game is HEAVILY pay to win, on top of the bugs, such as doesn't save data fully when you close the app, ads freeze when you try to boost, not getting items to progress forward in a normal way, etc. I love the series, but this game is a joke. I already spent $25-$30 dollars on it, and I'm still at "The Fire" chapter. That's like what? The 4th chapter?? The most important thing is this developers response is "please email us", or nothing at all. The game is absolutely shameful. Disgraceful.

I played this game for a while and my only issue, and why I gave you a 1 star, is this game is a play to win. Unless you get on every two hours during an event, forget it. I dont mind paying money to games I like, but the amount you ask just for one desk is incredible, $19.99. Even watching a bunch of ads, I can still barely reach 85% of the event goals, let alone all the desk until the few hours of the event left.

Fun for a bit, but the monotony has set in. Just like trailer park boys: greasy money; shorter events don't seem worth the time/resource investment. It's like the game knows I need something for the event, but won't give them to me either through leveling or trading. But conveniently pops up an ad for the item I need for $20 🙄 This feels predatory. Un-installed.

I literally cannot play. It keeps looping stating that there are new updates. Gets to about 77%, and then loops again. Please fix, I've reinstalled this twice already today alone. Edit: Uninstalled, reinstalled months later. Still the same issues. Get to 81% and there's a "new update! Click here to update!" No option of anything else, and it restarts with the "loading" screen.

UPDATED REVIEW: I've been playing it for a bit now and I'm nearing the end of the Carpet episode, but I'm starting to hate the game. It's so slow, so boring, way too many ads, not enough items to automate the desks so many of my characters sit useless as I refuse to sit and tap on the money every 2-3seconds. Lessen the ads, make coffee easier to come by, make the desk decor easier to come by so we can automate quickly. I'm playing less and less and eventually will just stop as it isn't fun.

The game was good while it lasted. They broke the game with last update. It had problems but normally fixed that day or next day when you report the issue. This time it is over 2 days. The game goes reboot error 0 at boot up. Support hasn't gotten back to me after initial auto email. Which is very surprising. The one great thing has been super fast support. Not this time. I am very sad because I going remove the game from my phone. I was looking at the other games from east side all have issue

It has potential to be a great idle game. The idea of progressing through the episodes of the office is great and well done but the idle game portion is terribly unbalanced and slow and obviously trying to get you to spend money. I don't mind watching ads for boosts and bonuses and I understand you have to make money some how but this just seems like a cash grab taking advantage of the office ip instead of trying to make an enjoyable game.

Update: Game is constantly clearing out progress. Just as you think you are going to be able to move forward, they reset all in game progress and keep you on the same level so you're not able to progress. Update again: After reaching out to support they said they are looking into issue (have been for 6+months) with no fix. Still don't have my progress back.
