false information and not saving routes. For example, I would open the app and the app says the bus will be there at 2:10 pm, then I get there 10 minutes earlier just in case and the bus never arrives at the scheduled time at all and now, I have to wait much longer for the next one. Also, when I have the route saved, the app will restart and forget my route. Can't believe the MTA itself can't run its app properly, makes sense with how it can't even run the transportation properly as well.

The app could be glitchy but overall it made sense - now, with the total revamp, the whole user friendly interface has disappeared. I'm not talking about having to get used to something new - things that were centrally located are no longer, things that were collected for convenience (ie, delays, planned reroutes, etc) are no longer. It takes so much longer to click through to the train schedule and it just feels silly.

Latest version (3/2024) is bloated, more frustrating to use and kills the battery. Used to be able to easily save favorites by train line and direction and see arrival times across multiple stations and bus stops at the same time in order to make connections. Now can only see one station at a time with all lines and directions showing mixed up in one place. Expected arrival time no longer shows up by default and time until arrival is inaccurate, as "arriving now" can mean several minutes away.

The new version is USELESS!!! I used to be able to open myMTA and it automatically detected the station I was in, and I could select my train, choose uptown or downtown, and it showed me all the approaching trains and when they would arrive. This piece of junk does NONE of that. Don't waste your time! Try one of the third party apps.

A giant step backwards. It's opening screen shows nearby which is inaccurate and can't seem to be changed . Interface is clumsy and unless you're careful you'll be looking at trains going in the opposite direction! To get it to work, they're requiring location and personal information. They should know better than to request that! The problem as with most apps is there's no way to go back to a better version.

Loving the app! I've been using it for school, but the only thing I think is missing—and I think it's crucial—is adding a notification for when the bus arrives. When I'm using other apps, it should give us an option where we can get notified when the bus is near or arrives. Looking and waiting for the right time is a bit annoying to me. I hope this feedback helps.

When the app works, it's great. You get real time updates on bus and train arrival. However, for the last week, the app has just lost all usability. It won't show any train or bus lines whatsoever. When you try to add a favorite line, the app crashes. As someone else mentioned, there haven't been any updates so I'm using the most recent version.

Previously added favorites (subway, bus, rail) are shown having a star in the "Add Favorites" but the "Favorites" tab in the main screen isn't displaying the starred lines. This used to populate but now it's no longer populating. Someone from the app creation team please fix this. What's the point of navigating through the website on a mobile device just to see the line?

Last update completely broke this app for me. I can't save favorite bus lines. When I search it tells me I have entered an invalid search entry. It crashes. I can't get bus arrival times, and there is no longer a way to report problems in-app. So, not only did you break it, but you blocked an easy way to get feedback on how it's performing. It was working pretty well before...

Easy to use and navigate are the only advantages as of now. The app is not accurate, google map is better and it shows more options for transit. Taking out bus schedules from the bus waiting area makes it extremely inconvenient to look up for the time of the next bus. Had to print this out for myself, yet buses in particular will still go as they wish....The more I try to use it, the less reliable it becomes and I switch to Google map.

Very awkward interface. It's tedious and confusing to check the status of a specific line or station unless you have that exact combination of station and line saved in your favorites (even then, it's not easy to navigate). There should be at the very least a list of every line and another list of every station to check the status (both planned and unplanned service changes) and next arrivals. Also much like the countdown clocks, the live tracking isn't actually live, and will sometimes show arrivals that will never come because the line is no longer running..

The upgrade is practically unusable. You have to wade through menus to get the train or bus you want. When you get there, the scrolling, 9 times out of 10 doesn't work, so you keep swiping your finger on the screen until it decides to move it. Then when to get to the stop you want , you have to keep polking it until it decides to open, most times you hit the stop and it shifts to the other direction. I miss the old version, where you plugged in the bus number and it went right to the route!

What does someone have to do to get a map of the entire bus system for Brooklyn so that I can lay out my trips? Pressing on the menu button and then on "maps" produces a blank page. Trying to complain about it in the app is fruitless because the "I'm not a robot" checkbox produces an empty box of no images so that you can't possibly select the images it's asking for to be able to click" verify "and send your complaint. Unbelievable!

I used this often and it's always off by a few minutes. When it works, it gets a 3 star but it does not work often. It crashes when trying to add or save a line. Sometimes ask to connect to the internet or just shows no information. I don't know of how this app can be used to replace subway time when it is worst. Do they even test the app before releasing?

The new updated app is, unfortunately, nowhere near as good as the previous version and, in all honesty, not sure why there needed to be an update. UI is much more cumbersome, data is almost always inaccurate, and always asks for location data which is unnecessary. Think the MTA wanted to make this more robust and do much more than it really needed to... Bring back the old version, please. It was simple and did what we needed it to do and did it well.

The app has some really bad bugs going on. It won't let you access any of your saved trains or buses along with a constant error of "oops try connecting to the internet and try again" (with data and wifi on) when you try to do literally anything on the app. It's been going on for days and it's a major inconvenience cause the bus stops tell you to check the app and the app is useless so what now??

Real-time accuracy is failing! Normally, I am gleeful with the app's accuracy. However, lately, the app seems to frequently have "ghost" buses. For example, in the app, it states that the bus will arrive in 1,2 min or "now"at the stop, yet, in real life the bus doesn't physically show up at all! When I refer to the app again, the notification disappears. Now I am to experience the luck of the draw and hope that the net bus arrives on time as indicated on the app.

This app has potential, but it needs a lot of redesign to make it user-friendly---other folks' reviews said a lot already. One simple thing that needs improvement is the map section. Maps should be downloaded on to the phone and routinely updated, instead of having to load up from the cloud. When you're on the train, and there's no service underground and you need to see the map, it can't load. Some stations don't have good reception and you can't get a signal then too. Although they have maps one may not have the time to run to look at one. And on a crowded train, you can't walk to the in-train map. So make the maps downloadable. That's one small suggestion.

Really bad. I just want a train schedule and it seems impossible. A common use case I have is looking for when LIRR or Metro North trains will depart or return from a station - maybe later in the day, maybe in a day or two. All the things you can do very easily with a paper train schedule. I also tried to submit this feedback in the app, but the way it's implemented re-captcha doesn't work in the embedded browser so you can't submit your feedback.

The primary purpose of this app to give up-to-date status information. Why does it say 'no active alerts' when part of the line's service is suspended? The information is in app if you ask for a route. I know the route, just tell me upfront which line is not running. Got burned several times, really worst thing when you cannot trust 'official' source.
