Had such hopes for the new app, but there is no provision to download episodes to play them on flights. Also, there is no autoplay to listen in the car without fiddling with your phone. Might be good for sitting in front of the fireplace while crocheting, but if you are active at all it is a nuisance. Now I discovered there is only one day's worth of episodes available. Past apps let you go back months and relive the classics. This is an upgrade??

Great group of guys. Having lots of trouble with the app. Maybe pin it as a media player to prevent streaming issues? I do wish it worked better.

There is no Bluetooth control for the app, if I need to pause/play audio, I have to pull out my phone or stop what I'm doing, open the app and control it from there. I have tried out the app several times, but the lack of Bluetooth control makes me uninstall it minutes after using.

*Solution: long press app to open info, click battery, set to unrestricted, this allows background playback. No background play. Phone must be on and app opened to the play screen, even if phone goes in sleep mode/screen turns off, the play stops. Show is also chopped into multiple segments but you wont make it thru 1 without app shutting off and losing place

5 stars for app's mere existence. I use it daily. It freezes up randomly. Regarding Galaxy phone it seems to need be "on top" which is useless because I would like to listen and perform other operations on my phone at the same time. Since there's advertising now, please address these glitches! Also make the app work without connectivity, please.

Greenbeans W&J! I've been a faithful listener since the 90's! The app needs a few tweaks: needs to hold its place when paused for later listening and would love to listen to previous shows like the last app. But coming along nicely. As far as commercials, pause audio and skip forward twice and then reverse to the beginning of the segment and voila the commercials are skipped and show begins automatically.

I've never once rated an app but this one I have to.. This app is useless unless you have nothing else going on or running in the background.. It constantly stops... You're listening to it ,you plug up your phone to charge it and stops. You're listening to it and I'm doing something else on the phone it stops... And you just can't get it back easily you have to click on the date again that you want to listen to, Then Estimate where you left off at... Then you have to listen to the ad again.

I want to state I have an Android phone. Like others, I have found app quits playing after a couple of minutes, then closes shortly thereafter. If I want to listen continuously I must tap the screen to keep it open. Since I wrote to W&J before and nothing changed, I decided to see if my iPad did any better and it plays the app perfectly. Does W&J have something against Android??

Still doesn't work for Android. Been trying to use this app for years over now 3 different Android phones and yep, audio stops after just a few minutes. Kinda ridiculous but okay guys! Have tried turning off all the background shutoff settings and nothing works. Maybe one day you'll get it sorted.

The app still crashes and it does not save where you left off! You will be forced to listen to 30 seconds to two minutes worth of ads each time you change hours trying to find where you were when the app crashed! Extremely frustrating compared to the old app.

It will not stay on in the background. Like the other app did . It works for a little while then stops. And it doesn't save the spot you where at. So it starts all over when you turn the screen on. And it has ads. The download option on the other app didn't work but I would love that option that worked.

Still useless, if I turn off my screen, it shuts off. Now you're going to force me to listen to commercials? I don't think so. If it was a podcast like you call it, I'd be able to download it and listen to it at my leisure. Listen to W&J on iheart radio, you only have to listen to a couple commercials at the start of the podcast.

Terrible app. Whoever did this app ripped y'all off. Please bring back the last one. To start, you guys are all about conservative/libertarian values yet the first thing the new app wants is access to my location data... what's up with that? The old app allowed us to go back and listen to a lot more shows. This one only has the last week of episodes. Also why are there news stories? We come to the app to listen, not read.

The new app works ok for the most part love listening to the show. But when my phone goes into rest mode the app will stop, then it loses place and I have to approximate where I was. If there is a way to make it keep going even in rest mode I'd bump it up to 5 stars. Thank you.

Old app was better, old app was Commercial free, app would keep phone on so it would continuously play, with new app if the screen goes off app stops playing & you loss where you were listening, I don't have time to keep looking for where I was listening to or worrying about making sure the phone stays on. I have listening for years on old app, missing no shows, but as of late I have been missing because of the app not remembering where I stopped or because of the fight to keep phone on to list

I think it's safe to say, this app just doesn't work. Audio stops every 3 minutes. Kind of a deal breaker for a podcast app. It needs your precise location for some unexplained reason. And the app softlocks if you insist on approximate location only. Was the snazzy new look worth gutting your app?

Bring back the old app. I get about 4 minutes of play time on podcast and it cuts off causing me to go back and listen to 30 second ad. App crashes then I have to force it to close and start over again after each 4 minutes :(

My only issue...... The app will stop playing the episode or live stream if my phone isn't actively open on the w&j app. If i power down screen it will continue to play anywhere from 5 more minutes to 15 minutes. Audio stops, i wake screen and select the app from the few tabs i have open aswell (chrome or texts message app) the w&j app display will be fully blank white. I close app abd have to find my place again after re opening. Super annoying. PLEASE FIX!!!!!!!

Keeps stopping when listening then you have to start over and guess what time you were. Uninstalled, re-installed and keeps doing same thing. Very displeased. Old app much better and didn't have to listen to a 30-60 sec ad every time!
