Thrive member for 2 years. I love the convenience of the app. The prices are less than most stores which I have checked and compared. The app offers autoship and sends you a text to remind you of your next ship date in case you want to add or remove items. I only had a couple of problems with shipping. Once an item leaked but Thrive gave me a credit on it. And I believe they changed to a different couier at some point which was not good because there was a delay in delivery. Overall, I like it

No longer user-friendly. Clunky. Opened to edit upcoming subscription order & found can longer skip individual items. Either have to accept entire shipment, or unsubscribe from item completely-or skip the entire order. makes me want to unsubscribe from everything and restart as I need things, then get rid of them again apparently-- lessens likelihood of me ordering as much as I normally do. Additionally, after unsub, must back out of app before continuing- it never resets. Chat did not help.
It is really a fun app to use. So many wonderful choices. I love how they start out by creating a cart for you based on the questionnaire and your needs. I have used this app in the past, took a break, and am am back again because I really miss getting my box of snacks and breakfast items for my kids, products that are so much more healthier for them!
My first order arrived with an exploded jar of beets. beet juice coating everything. when you submit a complaint, you deal with bots and no resolution, just screaming into the void. I will be canceling my membership and deleting the app. besides the awful response to poor delivery, everything is overpriced and not worth the convenience of ordering online.

This store isn't as different as imperfect foods or misfits. It's got a wide variety of items to choose from and is still a growing business. However, while I love this app, it's not in my budget or my interest at this time to continue my subscription. When I chose to cancel my subscription, was it really necessary to beg me to stay with all these price options. it's appreciated, but all I wanted to do was cancel.
After submitting my order, window asked to change/setup the next order instead of going back to the home page. RE: Skip/Change Confused me cause I wanted to change the delivery date of my 1st order to next business day. Somehow I ended up skipping into month of May. Also, I would like to see the actual $amt next to % button selected being donated toward Snap EBT program. The membership fee was described as a small $5/month cost but the app took the entire $59.95 and I didn't see choices.
I've been on the fence about becoming a member. Now after reading the reviews, I'm going to decline. I don't have the financial flexibility for dealing with mistakes like delays and product unavailability and damaged products. I don't have the patience to deal with many of the issues described, and my budget limitations make this a Big NO. Aside from the financial, another issue is not being able to see and select particular products. Then, there's no ability to see or preview product prices, br
User-friendly app that makes ordering easy, and I appreciate the wide selection of healthy, natural products they offer. The ability to shop from home is also a major perk. However, I've found that the minimum quantity requirements for certain items can be frustrating, and some of their prices are a bit higher than what I can find locally. Overall, they're a decent option for stocking up on specialty groceries, but I tend to supplement my orders with trips to my local store to get the best deals
This is a total scam. Signed up for a free trial and was charged $65 immediately. They make you take a quiz and create a shopping cart full of products. That was irritating, and I after deleting it all one by one, I searched for what I actually needed. I hate to say it, but just go to amazon and subscribe. The prices for everything were cheaper and I more readily available somewhere else. This is a good idea, but it needs to make sense. It is hard to cancel, too! I saved the screenshots!
The prices are a bit cheaper, but it's a crapshoot on whether you'll receive what you order as the app availability doesn't seem to reflect what they have on hand. Ordering has a lot of limitations that their main competitor doesn't. For example, I can't order chocolate in South Florida, but I don't have that issue with the competitor. They also don't offer produce or dairy, and the threshold for ordering frozen is very high. Customer service response has been poor too.
Great company, poor shopping experience. I was stuck in a loop of creating my first order, when I had already done that. I don't really like that it forces items into your cart based on what you say you like, instead of letting you browse on your own. Like think about why people go to big box companies: shipping. And at a time when people are looking for alternatives to those companies, making people subscribe, and initially adding random items to their cart is a poor idea. Best of luck.
I love this online grocery store. However, I did have to edit my rating from 5 to 3 stars. The shipping has been horrendous the past two times. It never shows up on time, there's little if any communication, and it just shows up whenever it wants. Not to mention it takes like a good week to show up? At that point I might as well wait for my recurring order and not even order any extra. But worst of all, I can't get a straight answer on WHEN it will be here.
Awful experience. The "discounted" products can be found for less at any grocery store. Tried to cancel my membership because I wouldn't be saving &. spending more than I normally would. The representative goaded me to keep it & accept a $20 credit to make at least 1 order. I placed an order, my card was never debited, the $20 credit disappeared & I never received anything. During that waiting period my "free trial" ended so I had to pay the entire membership and received nothing from it.
The latest updates to the cart are terrible. I used to be able to add all contents of my cart to my autoship by tapping one button. Now I have to add each one separately. If I were the app product owner, I would want to make it as easy as possible for my customers to put all the items in my cart. The UI is not very well thought out as to how a person would use it. Besides the degrading app, most products are always out of stock anymore, so there's not much incentive to be a customer anymore.
I love all the products that I buy from trive, but it isn't necessarily "saving" me any money. I have to pay for the subscription, and then I have to order over $50 to get free shipping! In order for the price of the subscription to be worth it, I have to order at least once a month. I used to just buy my off brand, but delicious healthy snacks at aldi's, and it was much more affordable. even products like Amy's soup go on sale at Meijer once in a while at a cheaper price than thrives.
It's a good app, but the chat option is a bot, and there's no way to be connected to a real person - frustrating. I have a very basic question that is specific to my order, so the bot can't help me and there's no contact email. The only option is to call, but sometimes the call volume is too high and it tells you to call back later. Plus you can only call during their (west coast) business hours. So for a busy mom in NY, this is not helpful. Hire chat employees/get a customer service email.
Good luck canceling when they discontinue the products you normally buy. Check the recent 1-star reviews. They say the same thing. This is a problem with Thrive . I had so many problems with damaged product being delivered I had to switch to buying from Amazon. Don't bother with Thrive market. It's $60 a year for their subscription. You can't buy without it.
The app (and website) are the worst for searching. It's impossible to simply search for one product. I searched 'granola bars' and I had 900 results from cat food to Mac and cheese to toothpaste. No matter the product, your search will not result in what you're trying to find. UPDATE: They changed the website and it's worse. Now you can't see your total, you have to wait until 4 days prior to it shipping to see it. And your order is littered with 'suggestions'. Confusing and not easy to manage.
Really like the company. I've never tried to cancel my membership, so I can't speak to some of the other stories in the comments, but I've contacted them multiple times when I've accidentally put the wrong address on an order (I send boxes to my family sometimes), and I have received consistently good customer service. However, their app could use some work. It has some definite performance issues, and I'm not sure why. I use it, but I wish it didn't lag and stutter so much...
I really like thrive market, and the app is a great way to order groceries. The only thing is there is no way to put a note with my order, such as making sure the tinned anchovies I order don't have smoke (they sent me the wrong ones and the descriptions aren't real clear). I like getting notifications of sales, the extra discount on autoship is great. They also offer free memberships for people in need! They treat their workers fairly, unlike some mega online retailers who shall remain nameless
