Time Until: Countdown + Widget

It's a great app for counting down to big events. Works for what I use it for, counting down to big days (wedding, pregnancy milestones etc) and even keeps count beyond those days so it works for keeping track of days since my last drink etc. My favorite part is how few permissions are required to use it. This can't be understated. Some stuff is locked behind premium, but I'm not going to need more than 5 countdowns going at a time so it's fine for me. Free app is worth it!

The app does what it says, but even the premium version is quite simplistic. There seems no way to add more than one reminder (i.e., if set for 15 minutes before the event end, that's all there is -- no notification that time is up). There is only one notification type (the standard one for the device), so third-party apps like Notificon are needed to change the sound. I wanted a countdown timer for my water kefir and although I use it, I may use another soon.

Had the app for just a day but so far I really like the features, ability to make it as plain or flashy as I want with different backgrounds, different counter formats, repeats and reminders. The widget feature is good also for important ones that you want to keep up front all the time. I should note that the reminders, repeats, widgets and alarms are only in the paid ad free version for 2.99, don't want anyone to take away all that stuff being in the free version.

The backgrounds are of poor quality. Any picture you use, whether it's from your own device or from the online gallery, will appear "blown up" and pixellated. You can't change the font's color without paying $8 for the "premium" version. The app wants permission for "anonymous user data", too. If you don't like being spied on and/or having access to a severely limited amount of features behind a high paywall, then avoid this app. Your mobile device (and wallet) will thank you.

It works, but your display options are limited. For a widget you hope for something to inform you, in this case keep track of a date. Hee you can, but either by using a huge display area or a smaller area that's bright white. If they eventually provide some display options for the widgets I'll happily buy it. For now, I'm waiting to see if I adapt to the jarring white background or if I move on to try another of the many countdown apps.

Love this reminder app! simple to use, easy to reference, a great way to visually see what is coming up in your life. I gave this a 5 star for the fact that the free version is great not a ton of ads very useful with hardly any hassle. This easily could have been 6 out of 5 stars if you could change font size and text location on the screen! I'm thinking of buying this app because it is so good, and to support a great product!

Good amount of images to use as a background, but it would be nice be able to search through them instead of scroll. Plus if you decide you want a different image, they are in a different order the next time. So you may have to scroll through them again to find the one you just saw. My biggest complaint is that its off by a day. It is one day short. Fortunately can just make the event date one day later, since none of this actually goes to a calendar. Shouldn't have to though.

So far, it does exactly what I wanted: It provides a widget that lets me count down the days (and hours and minutes) until an event. There were ads in the app but mine weren't intrusive, and with my use case, I won't be in the app much. Very pleased! P.S. I'd love something special to happen at significant points, like the halfway mark, 30 days left, 14 days left, 7 days left, etc. Maybe a special color for the widget and a message on it about the milestone?

The app itself is fine. Just a couple of issues: when creating a widget, you can only choose from 8 colors to use as your background, nothing else; no personal images, no pictures from elsewhere, nothing. Also, don't expect the creator of the app to respond to your emails. He never responded to the 2 emails that I sent, which, quite frankly, I find to be rude, considering I paid for the app. Perhaps he'll answer here: do you plan to change the app to offer support for widgets so that they can have custom background images other than the 8 colors available now? Thanks.

I only got this app a minute ago for the widget. I'm in a long distance relationship and get a little bummed out when we're apart. so i got the timer to remind me on my homescreen i'm days closer to seeing him. So far pleased with ghe customization. pretty straightforward, some frills if you want them. ads are a nusance as always, no exception there.

I love it! I got premium with some of the leftover money in my google wallet or whatever its called and ive been enjoying it! If you only need like 5 or 7 or something countdowns going at once with this then the free version is definitely sufficient! Plus there's no ads! (as far as I remember at least) I use it like a calendar since im really bad at understanding just how far away an event is by just looking at a calendar.

I love this app! I originally downloaded it to count the days until my boyfriend graduates boot camp, and from there I saw in settings that you can have older dates that also count time since, and immediately added days since I started this semester and anniversaries! I now use it as a motivator for exams, and other things I have to do, as well as for countdowns. It has a lot of different online photos to choose from and even without the locked premium settings it's easy to use and super simple!

This app does what it's supposed to do and it looks cool doing it. Another reviewer mentioned having albums or folders to organize them, that would be a nice feature to add in the future. Also, the ability to change the default settings to not include seconds or years if we don't want to use those, instead of just on individual countdowns. All in all, good work devs!

I wish I could love this app because it is exactly what i was looking for. However, it slowed down my phone so bad I could hardly stand it. I also get random full-screen ads on my phone since downloading it. Be warned! It downloads some ad software that you can only get rid of if you factpry reset your phone - not even deleting the app got rid of these ads! They will pop up randomly - when I unlock the phone, interrupts games or other apps I have open, etc. DONT INSTALL THIS APP UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE BOMBARDED WITH ADS OR FACTORY RESET YOUR PHONE!

Great App for setting countdown to any event! Let's you pick any background picture, their preselected wide variety, or your own. Very accurate timer, right to the second. For the free version it is a wonderful app! There are more things you can do on the paid version, make it even more personalized yet but the free version is great and they did an excellent job creating!

I've been using this app for 4+ yrs and I love its simplicity. I use the 'time since' feature the most with a favorite photo commemorating a historical event, like our wedding day and family birthdays (e.g., 15 years & 10 months since XYZ). I don't recall the ads being bothersome, but I paid to upgrade for the ability to move the text where I want it, so it's not covering faces.

Great functionality. The (since) feature is incredible. For keeping track of meds, feeding times for animals, watering for plants, or other cyclical tasks a breeze if you're forgetful. The timeline helps you get a bird's-eye view. The only wishlist item is being able to upload my own gifs for live backgrounds, or my own static images, especially if I have the paid version.

Pretty great app, but I think it could do with more customization options. You can only set one reminder, and the max for that is 12 hours which is frustrating if you need help reminding yourself of long term projects/goals/future dates. Another issue I have is with the small widget. You can't use the same customized timer that is in the main app (choosing what time units to show). You also have limited background colors to choose from (though that's not as big of a deal as the other two).

This app is sweet and simple and keeps track of things both past and present. Of all that I've tried, I think this is the one I'll be sticking with! After using it a while and using a few custom winter backgrounds which obviously have allot of white, you can't read the white font and there isn't an option to change it. So I changed my 5/5 to a 4/5. Kudos.

I love this app and use it every single day. but then I got a new phone and it appears as though I'm not able to log in and start where I left off. All of my history is completely gone and there's no login button anywhere. I have emailed for a resolution and will update when I find out if there is one! hopefully there is, if not I'm going to have to get a different app unfortunately. I hope someone gets back to me soon! 8-9-25 still waiting for a response and have sent a second email.
