It's a okay app if you don't mind minimal control over your photo editing. It left much to be desired for me. The photos clarity and imagery are good, some of them are very good. But there are some that were distorted and I couldn't make any adjustments to improve the pictures. I just can't see paying for something so limited that I can't make my own creative changes.

Although a bit pricey, I really love this app. No, the finished product does not look exactly like the picture you started with, if it did it would just be a copy of the picture. After a little trial and error I am able to predict what the output will look like. Great pictures don't necessarily convert well and the best cartoon pictures usually come from pictures you don't like. The hardest problem I've had is getting eyeshadow to come through on the cartoon.

the app is cool. the ads are not. I didn't count but you have to click through a lot of bait. the usual timers, x finally appearing in the corner... if you're willing to wade through the Ad River, you will find it does have some unique swath background types. Update per developer feedback - my suggestion is less ads. Everybody deserves to get paid I get it. But ads are creeping in more and more that are longer and longer. Just as bad as YouTube every freaking 5 minutes.

Subscribers beware!! Super neat app, great technology and fun to use. Pics turn out great. However.....please read the fine print and $!! I needed it for a few photos and for my business and they continued to charge my card every 10 days regardless of how often i used the app. It took me a moment to realize where the charges were coming from, so don't invest unless it's something you'll truly will use often enough to warrant the $$

I love this app! If you ever want an app to stroke your ego and make a lackluster photo really POP, get ToonApp! My daughter and I were both amazed at how cute we looked. We now have our "tooned" photos as our profile pics.♡ Easy and fun to use, there are many different styles, backgrounds. The only thing I'd like to see improved is the eraser. I was at the smallest setting and was still taking off half my face. Fine tune that bad boy, Dev[s]! :) Otherwise, Bravissimo!

I tried this app, and after going through 10 or 12 ads, I still could not find an anime picture of myself in my photos. Every time I tapped on one it put me back into the app. For the amount of ads I put up with in 15 minutes of testing it, I should get one picture out of it without subscribing. So, I'm not subscribing. If you had an option where it could have paid $1 for each one saved, I'd have done that.

I decided to download the app and give it a try. I actually like the app and wanted to purchase it... until I seen the recurring price of $4.99 a week! No way! It should be a flat price for the app. Using the app before you purchase it is overly annoying! There's an add after each a every selection. Several of my friends like the app as well but we all refuse to pay $5 weekly to rent it. For these reasons it's a no for me. Offer a flat rate & watch sells increase.

Uninstalled after 15 mins. The cartooning AI itself is pretty cool, but only a few of the effects look decent. Asks you to subscribe every few times you hit something, and there is an ad lying behind every single tap. By the time I finally manage to get to selecting an image to edit, for some reason it only allows me to pick media from my gallery IT chooses, which are random images from random albums. If I go into gallery to choose an image myself, it doesn't work and I just get pummeled by ads.

I just installed the app. BAM! The ad pops up as I am testing the app. pushes you to try a 7 day trial then 4.99 a week or 39.99 a year. Which isn't bad for a year. I had to jump thru ads just to make one picture! I'd be using this app a lot. To pay right off after a week @ 4.99 a week. Not enough time for me to test the app before buying. Less intrusive free time. Would be better when you're trying it out or if you just don't have the cash. 2 versions would be very helpful for everyone.

It started out kinda cool, but somehow the pictures are getting worse. For the first year I used this app, it made a bunch of really cute pics out of the ones I uploaded. After it's "update" earlier this year, it offers more style categories, but the created pics are terrible enough that they don't look anything like me anymore. I'm stuck w the remainder of the subscription I forgot to cancel in time, but there's no reason to use this app anymore. Better options exist now.

It has some great features but the number of ads is too much. I understand that you need ads to help your revenue base, but this was crazy. Every tap generated an ad. I read below that they were 5 second ads & didn't think it would be an issue. But after 15 minutes, I was done. Also being hit with a subscription page before you enter the free app was not welcoming at all. How do you know you want a subscription if you've never tried it? Uninstalling it

Absolute trash unless you pay. $5 PER WEEK?! Just for an app that's wild. Free version is unbearable. Ad every time you touch the screen and they throttle the speed to basically 0. Lol I mean I understand the current AI trend is booming but for me personally, I can't support a "free" app that is basically only free to download and open the app and watch the same ridiculous ads that play across every app. My advice, don't get ripped off. AI is open source technology for the most part. My 2¢

I have been asked to review my original review, (ads, ads, ads-1 star). Admittedly I was quick to judge. That's not to say that the app isn't filled with ads, because there is 1 every time you do anything, (typically a quick 5 second ad, but still ads). After using the app for a while, I can admit, I did like the app and the toon conversion is amazing, so my initial rating of 1 star was hasty. Of course you can pay for a membership, which will likely remove the adds and the watermark on the created photos, but $5 a week is a little much for the occasional instance that I would use it. So, good app and if you can put up with the constant pop ups, then totally worth using.

Was advertised a Barbie filter, there wasn't one. Was advertised that it would work with two people, it didn't. Half of the 3D filters didn't work and just said try again. The 2D filter averaged my hair color, so even though I have two colors it gave me a dull gray hair color. There was no option to change this. I have black and white hair. One star because it was bad enough that after a half hour I'd seen everything it couldn't do and canceled my subscription.

In all honesty, it's very impressive technology. It's pretty versatile, and can even translate a drawn face if, for some reason, you want to do that. My only gripes are the excessive amounts of ads(which is understandable), its inability to capture a full-body shot or certain angles, and the company's desperate begging for a five-star rating. This app doesn't deserve five stars, man. It's good, but not perfect. Trying to sucker casual passers-by into downloading your app is not cool.

For pictures of selfies, it works well. If the picture is more at a distance, the farther out, the less likely the filters work. Filter variety is pretty nice. You can make yourself a Simpson with yellow skin & everything. Unless you do the free trial / paid subscription, it will leave a watermark in the corner of your photos.

Got the app, app store said it was a free app, loaded it in and was immediately hit with a subscription service. For an app that most people wouldn't use more than once or twice a week the price is DEFINITELY not worth it, not even close. Would have been fine with full access and ads, but limited access unless you pay $5/week? Good looking app, but that price is toxic. EDIT: Seeing as how the creator left an automated response to my review... I have zero faith that this app will improve. 0/10.

It's a good app, and I like how it does groups, however it has one option for animation, and if the image isn't perfect it doesn't turn out super well. If you're looking for a quick animation get this app, but if you want variety and not for the animation to cut out the eyes, or include something that you don't want, I would not recommend this app because you can't edit any of that.

I downloaded to cartoon my animals which it doesn't recognize. I had to other option to try it other than sign up for 3 day trial, with auto pay after. Literally within 5 mins I request to cancel. I get an email that says they can't cancel but I have to go thru play store.. the only option I have on play store is to Uninstall. This is not great customer experience.

Good app and I love the features but is it really that necessary to get 1 ad per click? I mean sure, developers need ad renevue to get paid but still, instead of starting a free trial (more like fee trial) you could just turn off wifi if you are tired of seeing ads and yes I will give this app a 5 star if you could get rid of excessive ads!!! Otherwise I am uninstalling this app for good!
