This app is terrible. I use it because I have to in order to pay my dues but it doesn't even do that now. For a long time, every time I pay my dues it would give an error then I had to watch my email to see if it actually went through or not. Today it's still giving the error and it seems like the payment isn't going through. Or I've paid my dues 4 times. Who knows? Since this app never works right. -Now 3 days later it won't even load the payment area for me to attempt to make a payment again.
In the past, every time I make a payment, I get an error message but generally get an email saying that the payment went through. However, this month, I've tried making a payment 3 times now (once about a week ago, and twice in the last hour), and I haven't received an error message OR an email confirming my payment. My HOA is incredibly fascistic/draconian when it comes to anything going against HOA requirements/guidelines. I don't want a late fee or a warning. This is awful.
Poorly developes app. It definitely wasn't developed with user experience in mind. Also the fees added through TownSq make it pointless to submit payments through the app when I can use bill pay through my bank with no charges. I'm not impressed at all. When events are created, the app should allow you to either copy the text or export event to calendar so that we can add it to our personal calendar. Docs are posted as alerts, but then become hard to find and confusing. Just add a doc library
When I pay, for example, HOA fees, it says AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED, yet the money is pulled from my account. If I did not recognize this error, I would press the payment button over and over again, not realizing I would be charged every time this happens. This needs to be fixed because the only way I know the funds have gone through is to visit my bank account online and check. This can cause someone to keep charging their account.
It's an OK app to use, but I would like to be able to pick the time instead of picking blocks of time for reservations. Even if it could be set to 1, 2, or 3 hours etc. it is not user-friendly for this option. It's only on the back end for the person who sets up the blocks of time to set. it and I don't like it because it sends an email to everybody on the list for each block of time that is taken. So, set beginning/ending time in hopes people know in between times are taken. Poor setup.
This app doesn't allow responding to messages, so it's useless for communicating with the property management company and the HOA. The app glitches and has errors when trying to delete messages. It also glitches and doesn't send notifications when payments aren't processed. I don't know if the payments not processing is a function of the app, but it should at least send a notification when a payment is due and isn't charged.
Horrible, terrible! Will not be using this app again! Two months in a roll they took four payments last month and this month they took two!! System said did not go through. Was told to uninstall and re-install and try again! Still this months payment has NOT been resolved! Can't trust this app. Going back to snail mail.
Horrible, not user friendly. I was not notified of the hoa violation warnings via my email like I'm supposed too. I opened the app and to my surprise I have two warnings for the same thing. I miss my old hoa. And you can not call these guys regarding a violation, you have to email them (and they never get back to you). Going to the hoa meetings to see if we can change our hoa.
Why do I have to search "community" in my app drawer to find this app but searching "townsq" yields no results?! This is so counterintuitive and inconsistent! At least have "townsq community" as the label of the app so that typing either of those words in a search would yield the desired result. Makes no sense.
Everytime I try to make a payment I get a server error message. Kind of a problem when im trying to make an HOA payment and Im up against a deadline.
Literally removed the only function that makes the app worth having which was the user forum. was also removed from the website version too so its not just an app issue its a company issue.
completely dysfunctional most of the time. Fails to load any documents for my hoa (rules, annoucements, etc.) and I get often undescriptive error messages when I try to submit payments. Tried setting up auto pay but it isn't automatically paying... been on and off the phone trying to fix issues with inability to access my account. I am a highschool Comp. Sci. teacher, and unironically my 12th graders could build a better functioning app in a single semester.
They charge $15 dollars for the convenience of them charging your card. Obviously, they want a cut of your HOA fees. It never says what you owe, and when it's due so you have to remember what you owe. I don't understand why if they are asking you for your hard earned money that they are not upfront what you owe. As it currently says, I owe $0.
TownSq app shares data with third parties for targeted advertising. It is hidden in the privacy policy and it is an opt out rather than OPT in, and for an Application where the average is above the age of 50, I think it is a scummy business practice to target older people and we should not be rewarding then, especially because they make the app the primary method for payment. It is a scummy business model that should not be encouraged.
Not a fan. They seem to try to add on fees for stuff they shouldn't be adding fees onto.
The payment wizard is broken and unusable. It says error while processing payment making you think it failed but if you wait a minute you receive an email with a confirmation number.
Great app to keep one updated. It would facilitate finding information if a Master Index was included. Particularly like that notifications to your email log you in automatically.
Would love to see the Pdf file on the app and not have to download every pdf my baord puts out. Don't need to downloads lots of notices on the phone because you can't put that on the app
The app works well for making payments, but when the company that manages our HOA tries to contact me (board member), I get an error message instead of what they sent me.
Terrible app. After uploading photos of a hazardous situation and a full description of the problem in the Requests section, then selecting the category Work Order, when I pressed Submit, the app responded with an error message, saying the category was Read Only, and it deleted all the photos and the problem description. No warning, no way to recover anything. The devs that wrote this app clearly are poor quality and never did any user testing before launch. Error trapping is a most basic need.
