App used to display upload/download rates. Now it doesn't; it just displays '--' where it's supposed to show these. App doesn't have bandwidth usage over time. App is supposed to give me weekly and monthly reports. Instead, it gives me NOTIFICATIONS that such reports are 'available', but then when I click the notifications and poke around in the app itself, such reports don't show/exist. I'm in the spot where they're SUPPOSED to show, I have the reports turned on / enabled, but there's a bug.

This is the least supportive app. When I purchased one of their mesh units, they offered a good price for door locks, which claim to be compatible with the app. The app does not even list door locks as an option to add devices. support bot references options not offered on the app, unable to get to a live agent because the form they insist on having me complete doesn't offer an option for the frigging door lock. not recommending this to anyone. Very frustrating!

This app is hot garbage. One of my routers was off-line, but I never got a notification. I went to the app and it said "all fine" and that it was connected to ethernet, although the light was red. I unplugged it, waited, refreshed, and it STILL said it was connected to the ethernet! The whole app showed 0 bytes of upload/download across the network. I deleted and re-installed the app, and now it says "everything looks good" although it shows no connections at all and no network activity

Absolutely terrible user interface and difficult to manage general access and parental control - it's not at all intuitive. Paid subscription is worthless! App blocks devices when they should have access to the internet and says devices are using the network when there's zero activity + allows them access despite them having restricted access. The rules you create take forever to update and refresh. Don't waste your money on the subscription.

Easy to set-up, assign priority and specific bands to devices. 3 stars because the weekly report is useless and every other time I launch the app it doesn't connect to the mesh router, just shows "paint your whole house" message. Force stopping the app and clearing the cache fixes the issue but really, that's ridiculous.

I just can't recommend this anymore, constantly makes me log in, close app and force restart and it's detecting my devices again, except you can't trust the client list, says my phone's on ethernet (it's not) it maps the nodes completely wrong saying ones on WiFi and then connected to another by ethernet (it's not) won't be going with to link again. it's buggy as hell as think a lot of the UI is just fake such as the network optimiser and when it tells you it's 50% reset (required a lot)

Lowering my rating. Someone would have to work really hard for a router app to be worse. It's amazing, I'm connected to a device on my network, yet the app is reporting that device is offline. There is no option to configure router directly from a browser and the IP address, so you're stuck using this bad app to try and change anything (which may or may not work). Really a poorly designed system. The last TP-Link product I will ever buy

Junk. I have 3 Deco XE75s, which work great, but are severely limited by this app and the web interface. Parental Control and Web Protection block traffic and don't tell you what they are blocking so there is no way to fix it. Don't pay for that. No ability to monitor traffic. The app constantly fails at tasks and you have to do the same thing over and over. These are such basic things it's ridiculous.

good, but room for improvement. There is no way to know the wireless backahul speed directly from the app, and that is hugely import for mesh systems. The weekly report would be nice if it contained bandwidth information about how much each device is using. It would be nice if I could pull up a table showing all the devices on a specific band, like 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz....You can get this info, but it is buried and there is no way to easily list it.

Every time I attempt to log in (with the correct u/n and password), I get an error saying "Something went wrong. Deco app will quit to prevent further errors." Simultaneously, on my old device a notification from the Deco app pops up giving me a "Deco Account Verification Code" screen. I think the app is supposed to allow me to enter a verification code on my new device, but instead it just quits.

this app was good, but now they updated it with some "paint your home with wifi" thing that requires you to provide location information, and it doesn't even connect to the router anymore. they took an app that was working fine and made it worse. there is literally no way to administer the router anymore!

terrible app. terrible connection with the deco system as a whole. can't unblock things if you block them because it ends up right back on the block list. it's like it has 1000000000 lives and can't be removed. then there is connection in general. can't connect half the time and can't restart the system from the app. it just loads indefinitely. plus adding a new deco isn't possible since it can't find them. yes it's flashing blue. screw this app.

It works, but then can't tell what it did. For example, each time I added a satellite to the system using the app, the app said it couldn't find the device. After several "Try again" episodes, it became clear that various devices were connecting to the Internet via the satellite that the app said it couldn't find. Eventually, the app recognized what had happened (which it had in fact caused), and showed an updated network map. A similar problem with renaming devices: app unaware of succe

The hardware works fine. I have a great signal and speed over a large area. This app, however, is extremely unreliable. When I do finally get connected to my network, it tends to crash often and shows devices that haven't been connected for several minutes. I would also advise against subscribing to Home Shield, as it has been completely inaccurate and hasn't even worked since the last update.

I don't know from where to start... I regularly receive a notification of a report, which contains absolutely no useful information whatsoever!!!! NONE, NADA, ZILT Some basic features which are available on most routers are hidden behind a subscription scheme, which is just disgusting. Fire the marketing department behind these decisions. The deco hardware is actually decent and the app looks great.

The Deco devices themselves work fine, but this is the absolute most frustrating app that I have. it works about 50% of the time at best. it regularly has trouble connecting and saving setting changes. for instance, right now I'm trying to unblock one of the computers on the network, but I'm repeatedly getting a message that says" failed to save settings, try again later." these issues occur regardless of if my cell phone is connected to the Wi-Fi or the cellular network.

This app is unreliable. We have used the paid subscription version for over a year, and any time I need to do anything in the app, I have to manually close the app before using it. The parental controls often take several attempts before the changes actually apply, and often allows blacklisted sites. We have two units, and we regularly get a message that one of the two units cannot connect, so we have to go manually reboot whichever unit is being temperamental. Unreliable.

The satellite randomly disconnect from the main, but overall good service. The family controls are minimal unless you pay extra ($1.50/mo if you pay annually). After I added the kids devices and started a bedtime routine, the devices would intermittently disconnect and hard to figure out how or why they were not connecting to the network. Maintaining kids screen time is a headache, I don't need this to be an extra bit added on.

Lowered my rating to 1 star. Very frustrating app to use with lots of issues. After the last update, I was unable to access the parental controls I had setup for over 2 years. It kept asking me to subscribe to something I was already paying for. I had to create a whole new profile. Once I did that and set a bedtime, it would block the devices before the time I had set. After trying to fix myself, I had to change the setting from everyday to custom days with set times for each day. So stupid!

They are pushing updates through the app instead of through the playstore. Ok, for remote management or just to check your network. But it lacks any real management capabilities. If I knew that ahead of time, I would have bought something else. In the process of finding another company to get a router and downgrade the decos to a mesh ap. So much money spent for so little, but not getting your money's worth!! A few dollars more somewhere else, you get a fully customizable setup.
