App has some great features. It would be even better if it didn't freeze up consistently. Have to close and reopen app to check temperatures and make adjustments. Also no longer able to use cook option as it freezes and won't allow change in meat settings. Have to use Meater App instead. Really like the Receipes and ability to make notes in app.

App Crashes-Please fix the App. I bought a new Traeger that has Wi-Fi and all the extra features to use for the app because my old Traeger kept shutting off in mid cook and I wouldn't know it for hours. But this isn't much better..... because the app crashes constantly and I can't set temperatures or it's just not working. This smoker also took me almost an hour to get it started today because the ignite button wouldn't work. I just bought the grill 3 days ago. So Warning: the app is unreliable.

The app is useful however there are several troublesome bugs that need worked. Often the display of the currently selected grill doesnt reresh in a timely manner. You tell it not to show an alert about how to install the temperature probes but does shows it every time regardless. The temperature probes often disconnect from the app and fail to report. It would be better if the probes could be accessed an alternative way rather only if the grill is cooking. Still it does "function" so 3 star

love the trager. And the customer service. when things break or aren't correct they fix the problem immediately. usually get replacement parts within 3-4 days of phone call. easy to follow instructions to fix. The Only issue is the app. recipes reset as soon as you leave app. thats a bit frustrating. but other wise its a great pellet grill.

Unable to log in after update. Tried opening the app to start Thanksgiving dinner on my Traeger. Open screen mentioned a new update and said that I had to log in again. I tried logging in with the same password and email I have used since I first installed the app, and it said to check them and try again over and over. I hit "forgot password" to reset password and it said "too many requests). I only made one. Uninstalled and re-installed the app. Still no luck.

Can we have more control over notifications? For some reason, since the last update, the notification sound for the grill heating up, shutting down, changing temp will not stop until you manually stop it. But when the timer goes off, it chimes once. I don't need the constant ringer going off telling me my grill shut down to then have to fish my phone out of my pocket to shut the blasted thing off. Or miss the timer notification with the TV volume up during the game! please fix this!!!

Love my Traeger. I am still working on perfecting the craft of barbecue. I find the Traeger is easy to use, it's really as easy as setting it up, putting the meat on and then checking at periodically to make sure there's enough pellets and turning the meat. the Traeger is easy to clean and the programming is easy also. I do like having it tied into my phone so I don't have to go outside all the time to check the temperature especially when it's cold outside.

I like the app for the most part but recently they made a change where you have to label the food that your probe is in. I like that feature in theory if it was optional but requiring it every time I set a target temperature is very annoying. Especially on multi-phase cooks. I've only got one probe I know what I stuck it in. Stop making me type in "chicken wings" every time I use my probe

It's always been a bit buggy. I feel like they often update/reformat it. Then it won't "remember me" and you have to remember which email and password you used for a food app, when all you want to do is have it connect to your smoker. One of the updates deleted all of my saved recipes. The pop-ups are also annoying.

I like the app but every time you bring up the temp submenu from the main screen, it crashes the app. When I navigate to Temp - "Start A Cook", choose "pork", it crashes right there. I am forced (haha) to force stop the app. Clearing data & cache in app settings, running ccleaner, rebooting & reinstalling does not correct the crash. Other than that, I like it. If we can get that bug sorted out, I'll like it even more :) Added - also got a screenshot if a dev needs it.

Great app! It works great so far. I had to troubleshoot wifi issues only to find that my wifi doesn't work with the Treager 2.4GHZ if you have smart switch enabled on the router. Long story short, the Treager keeps disconnecting from wifi if you have your router set to smart switch between 2.4GHZ or 5GHZ for your devices. So, just in case anyone is having issues with it continually disconnecting from your wifi, check those settings.

Love my Traeger!! And it's awesome to have control of my smoker with the app, too. O have found some FABULOUS recipes & get new ideas of things to make from the app recipes, too. There's a feature in the app where you're supposed to be able to record your own notes about a recipe, but that feature doesn't work. It won't save them, no matter how many times I've tried. But I still find this app a terrific compliment to my Traeger smoker!! 👍🏼💨😋

Echoing the sentiments of others, I can honestly say that this is an excellent smoker very capable. In optimal conditions, the entire product with the app works fantastically well. Unfortunately, something seems to have happened in the last few months and as you can read from many other reviewers, this seems to be a system-wide problem. As it currently stands, my Wi-Fire enabled grill is not able to communicate with my phone without constantly freezing and requiring restarts.

The grill is amazing. I have the Pro Series 22, and the Yosemite Timberline XL. But the App and the WiFi is absolutely horrible. They just never work well, lose connection all of the time. It's not my router. I have several, and close. It's not my device, I have several. And many others have the same problem. It is a shame.

I used to really like this app, a little glitchy but overall pretty good. Until i opened it again for spring grilling and it had been redesigned. It controls the grill fine, but the frustrating part is trying to find a recipe. Unless you know exactly what you're looking for, it's nearly impossible to find anything. There are no categories like chicken, beef, pork, sides, etc like there used to be. I like to scroll around and look for new recipes and that is virtually impossible now.

Eh, it's okay. So there are recipes in there, and the settings work... mostly. The timer doesn't work unless your phone is unlocked. The workaround is you have to set your own timer, which isn't ideal, but not the end of the world. It is nice to be able to monitor the temps, amount of pellets, and time remotely. They got some work to do, but the grill itself is the easiest to use, so I guess the app will have to do.

Disappointed. When the app works it's great, but most of the time I experience screen lag/jitter, disconnects from internet after phone is idle or locks, and constant disconnects from the grill while cooking. Usually shutting down the app and relaunching works, but yesterday mid-cook it would not connect to the grill, rendering the app useless for monitoring the grill. Very surprised that Traeger hasn't sorted this out. Luckily the grill controller works great and has all info nicely displayed.

It's impossible for this app to connect to my grill despite meeting all the requirements. Just when it looks like it's about to connect I get the "Unable to connect to grill" screen. Why even offer this feature if it doesn't even work seamlessly out of the box. The wifi feature is one of the reasons I bought the grill. The Traegar experience overall so far is a 1 star because of this and I haven't even turned on the grill once.

There is something really broken in the app. I can set a target temperature in the app and it will work on the grill, and I will get a notification on my phone when preheating is done, but the app continues to show an old temperature. Similarly the automatic recipes are broken for the same reason, the app isn't updating. Something fundamental is wrong with the way the app is receiving updates.

Traeger, when trying to connect a grill. Your app sucks. I've had 2 Traeger grills in 5 years. Every once in a while, they lose connection with my home wifi. When trying to reconnect. I follow all your directions to a T. I get a message saying "Oops something went wrong." I'm following your directions. It's obvious your app or something else has issues and needs addressed. If you want to be the best in the world. Make all your stuff work like it's the best in the world.
