This "game" is fun enough if you just want to spend a few minutes on it every few hours, or a ton of money. Progression is so slow that after about two weeks of playing, I basically only open the game, send a few trains, and then close it because almost everything takes an hour to finish delivering. It's not a bad game or anything, just hard to stay hooked on it when I have nothing to do in it but wait.

Pretty good game. Not frustrating to play, compared to Train Station 3. And trains do not require durability, which is nice. Also, unlike TS3.... TS2 does not lag very much, because TS3 is heavily focused on 3-D realistic graphics while TS2 instead opts for a cartoonish clay-like model. I actually prefer the latter for ease of use and for simplicity in artwork visuals. Overall, well done.

This is one of the most boring mobile games I have played. I have played the original and I though this would be an improvement on that. it's not. this game is uninteresting, grindy, and timers slow progress down so much that you can't be bothered logging in to send trains off. This game is about as fun as being audited and called in for jury duty on the same day.

I found this game just a few weeks ago and have really enjoyed it. Even spent some money on trains and such. but something changed a few days ago and none of the ads close at the end of the ad. I even left an ad open for 6 or 7 minutes and the X never came. I have to close the app, which takes away the reward. Pretty shady.

It's OK... if you want to sign up for pixelID to increase population to make the game playable at all. When you need 500 of a item to buy a dispatcher or a ship that requires 300+ items at one time and you get +2 population if lucky per ship 1x/day... warehouse is only 6/700 no pixelID [even 1100 it's always full, events take up hundreds more space on top of your usual stuff] Biggest pet peeve is when you can't clear game notifications... because they keep notifying you until you buy a pass.

I have been playing this game for years. slowly progressing thru the game. But, now I am at the point that I need "Legendary trains" to continue. I have used the keys that I have to only get duplicate engines over and over again. As someone mentioned in another review, you get on, send trains, then off. The game is no longer fun to play.

Have you ever seen a game punish you for playing it? Look no further. As you play the game and level up, you eventually open new regions with new trains. Sounds great right? But guess what... Simply advancing naturally through the game locks any trains from the previous regions you weren't lucky enough to get from one of the randomized boxes, behind premium boxes. Not a big deal for you since you aren't a collector? Well during events, certain missions require region specific trains. So if you don't have it, you're cannot compete for the event currency. Horrible developers.

I've been playing this for a while now. It's a good game. But let's be honest, none of the screenshots represent the gameplay at all. The game title is a bait and switch because this is not a railroad tycoon game, nor is it a city simulator! The game is just a good resource management game. The trains are just a pure eye candy thing that have no bearing on the game play at all. Nice models yet used in the most implausible and illogical manner possible. This is not a train simulator at all.

It was o.k. for the first hour... then it began. Normally, game is o.k. to be played weeks before it starts asking for money or going stressful. In my case, I was trying to figure out how to update a free building... it was just gone after I accidentally touched something. And it is unaffordable to get it back. No way to undo. It is clear that if the 1st building you try to buy is out of reach, and you have been playing for just a couple of hours from the moment you installed the game...

It was better before the update. The ads for rewards are super annoying and broken. I didn't mind watching ads for extra rewards, but now they don't work over half the time. You watch the ad, but you don't get the reward, and it says, "no video available, try again later." The one hour trips are annoying because you play for a couple minutes then have to remember to open it again in an hour. Most of the time it feels like a chore to play.

I love this game. At first I really didn't l Ike that every task takes an hour to complete, it was discouraging at the beggining. The game is mostly signing in. Clicking on a few things and going back to waiting. It'd be nice if deliveries had different time frames. But, as time went on and life catches up I realized that it's nice to have that time to come back to it. They have improved the challenges which I love and I think makes the game more entertaining.

Overall a good game but there's no getting around that you need to wait an hour in between sending trains out before you can do anything else. This makes for a terrible casual game. Incant play it during a lunch break. If you want to pay you can make things go faster. I do not want to buy gems constantly. The other flaw with this game is that it pushes you to watch ads everywhere. You don't need to but you get half the free stuff if you don't. Good graphics, great concept, greedy execution.

Sadly, the game is fun, but a HUGE money pit. If you want to progress in the game without buying anything, you will never finish the game before retirement. Each world gets more expensive to upgrade trains, and the rewards you get from completed missions doesn't go very far. I would not recommend this game to anyone looking to pass some time. It has you checking back every hour to check on returning trains. The missions take too long, and the rewards suck. I give up. I am going to try one of those games that you pay once to get rid of ads, and never pay again, and again, and again...

This game is great and so addicting. One of the things it does really well is adding in the new events to keep the users interest. One area that I wish the game would focus on is making it a it more realistic with materials to deliver to locations. For example, why am I delivering 300 orders of livestock to a bridge repair? It would be more interesting to deliver realistic materials needed for specific jobs. Overall, great game!

There is a certain amount of gratification in performing the quests/tasks and improving your rail assets, and at the beginning the tasks move quickly with 1 to 5 minute durations. But as you get into the second region, the durations increase dramatically, as do the price of train upgrades and such. If the intent is for folks to open the game and play it for a couple of hours, then make the tasks more achievable in a sitting, rather than starting something, running out of trains or materials, and having to wait for 15 minutes to 4 hours for the task to finish so you can continue playing. And as you progress and the cost of upgrades increases (in terms of parts needed), it gets so difficult to perform upgrades; there are free boxes of parts a couple of times a day, and you discover spurious parts. but not nearly enough to improve your trains in a timely fashion. As the tasks get longer, it is just not practical to sit down and play it, and dropping in every 30 minutes to check for completed tasks is a hassle and causing me to lose interest. This is a cute game that started out fun and is becoming wearisome.

Trainstation 2 can be fun, if you're willing to shell out dollars. It's relatively easy to establish your "world", but maintenance and expansion are totally dependent on the acquisition of gems, which the game parses out on a miserly basis. You can easily acquire new trains, but they are essentially useless you upgrade them, which requires a quantity of gems far in excess of what you have...unless, of course, you're willing to spend real cash! Un-installing!

I enjoy the various locomotives, and I understand the ADs to make money, but accumulating the better engines is trying to say the least. Even selecting 200 key boxes that are supposed to be better odds, isn't. I would not play lotto with these actual odds, I am in 3rd city, level 75, but the only gold train I have in the 3rd city, I bought. Same with upgrade odds. I will play until the 4th city at level 100, and decide whether continuing to play.

Played this game on my Samsung tab for 3 years, now it won't load up. I've lost everything. It just says "your hardware does not support this application ". Tried to get ahold of service and it won't connect. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! It was a nice game until the last update, then it started eating up my battery, even while charging. The program became so slow at times, and would even freeze. Not happy!!

Okay, the ads are getting ridiculous. While I appreciate the game not having invasive ads that randomly pop up mid-play like other apps, the length of them is starting to get out of hand. Even just a few months ago, the longest ad took 30 seconds max. Now they're taking 45 seconds to a minute, sometimes more if they're the 4-part interactive ones. I may start playing without watching a single ad.

Really fun game at the beginning but after leveling up all of the tasks take an hour to complete. Game is also SUPER overpriced. It has a monthly "event" that costs $14.99 and all of the perks disappear after the event ends. I pay for monthly tournaments in other games and they're about a third of the price ($4.99). It's ridiculous to charge $15 for a temporary upgrade each month ($180 per year?!). Many more players would be willing to pay for the upgrades if they were fairly priced!
