This app has the longest commercial breaks of every other TV app, combined with the fact that each ad takes a painstakingly long time to load. You cannot enlarge to fullscreen on your cell. Last but not least, the app does not save your place. You have to go through the initial commercials, search through the show to find where you were, deal with the 75-120 second ads each time you enter a segment. The experience was so frustrating, I watched 1.5 shows and am about to delete the app.

Absolute garbage app Response: The app crashes all the time. And about 20% of the 3 min long commercial breaks (2-3 an episode is way way too much by the way) freezes with 30-40 seconds left in the add, so you get to close the app, restart it, watch a 30 sec add, and watch the 3 min add again. There were multiple times where I watched 15 plus minutes of adds for a 24 min show.

Absolutely horrible!! I have Direct tv and I open the app on my Roku or my phone and it keeps saying " not authorized" even though I've put in my cable info. This channel is part of my subscription. I go through the steps putting in codes, it says authentication is good, I go to the trutv app and again I get not authorized. Also, you can't make a list of your favorite shows so you have to search every time. I'm a cancer patient and this brought me a little joy. Sadly not anymore.

So right now on this app you can't do full screen. Please fix this whoever runs the app! Thanks! I think that's the only problem... Except that also there is an error I've gotten when playing a video and I think this might happen when I'm on wifi. It has happened when I'm not but that should be fixed too. If I go to another app then I get a response code on my video and have to go back, and then when I click on it it doesn't play in the past. Fix p&ts!

Would give 0- the app won't stream to my TV. My phone is paired- I have 0 problems casting using other apps. TruTV app even recognizes that my phone is paired to my TV, gives me the option to cast, and when I tap on my TV i want to cast, the selector lights up green. So it recognizes the tap.... but nothing happens. The app stays on the selection page. So now I'm stuck watching basketball on my phone.

Downloaded this app to my android tv, and had issues right from the start. Slow loading, frozen screen, app would close during commercials, and there was absolutely NO SOUND -- EVER! Uninstalled and downloaded again with same results. Checked every setting in the app and on my tv and still no sound. Uninstalling again, and will not be downloading it again. App is just flat out AWFUL!!

The ads are way too long and you're missing mostly all the episodes of At Home with Amy Sedaris! I was able to watch season 2 before but now you don't even have half of season 1! I checked other shows and they're missing many episodes as well. I uninstalled the app because it wasn't even worth keeping since there's hardly any content.

Usually only chromecasts the TruTV logo. When it does work, the show will just stop randomly, so you have to go through the hassle of getting everything restarted and to the point you were at again. It's unnecessarily difficult to just select the tv series you want to watch. The old app wasn't great, but it's better than this garbage. EDIT: How is this app still terrible after a year?! I've switched phones and chromecast, so clearly the issue is the app.

Extremely buggy. It would randomly crash in the middle of watching an episode, and I'd have to reopen it, and quickly forward the episode to where I was, making me rewatch another 2 and a half minutes of commercials because of it. Videos reset if you exit the app to answer a text or anything, and it doesn't play while using other apps.

This app is straight up garbage!!! I have a roku device and every single app that I had ever downloaded and roku has worked perfectly except for TruTV!!! I keep getting authentication errors and having to relog in over and over and stupid code they guve me won't work half the time! It's infuriating! It's really frustrating because I really enjoy a few programs on tru TV like Impractical Jokers, Adam Ruins Everything and The Carbanaro Effect, but the app is just horrendous!!! So I have no idea how to get the latest episodes because I am unable to watch them live. What a serious waste of time! I hope you learn something and fix your app because it is lower quality then ANY entertainment app out there.

Content is good, app and website are garbage. Half the time will only load an ad and then it autoplay the next episode, but again plays the ads and nothing else. Also I just spent 10 minutes trying to load an episode of adam ruins everything and it crapped out for the 50th time. All my other videos apps work just fine so it's not the inter connect

Unfortunately, the casting option isn't working for me. Trying to cast to my Chromecast 2, everything connects, but the video that is supposed to play, shows 0:00 at beginning and end, never plays, and the TruTV logo is the only thing on my tv screen. Best of all, it's making me wait through 180 seconds of commercials EVERY TIME that I'm simply trying to troubleshoot the casting BEFORE it will allow the connection. After trying all the steps suggested by the dev, it's still not working.

I love watching the Practical Joker villans. And when adds come on in, i thought it would be a 30 second long skippable ad. But it was 3 minutes. And unskippable. It could be the lowest point in this app for me. So mabey it could be skippable? I just don 't see the point in not skipping. TruTV broskees, let's chat sometime! Ya'll seem real nice! 👌

Froze. White screen when opened with the tru TV logo and a spinning disk at the bottom which never stopped spinning. Took over 3 minutes to open after freezing 4 times to the point I had to restart my phone since it froze all of my buttons as well. Once in after several tries. I tried to watch a show and was greeted by a black screen I couldn't get passed. Uninstalled.

FINALLY the 5/20/2020 update made casting to Chromecast BETTER! So far it hasn't dropped or disconnected yet and I'm a few minutes into the show! This would have broken already if it was still the same issue so it seems to be fixed! Good job! The only problem is that it too so long that I'm not watching the jokers anymore since I've seen them all and there's nothing else on here worth watching so really i don't use truetv anymore. Still, thank you for listening and fixing it!

Its ok. There are a few bugs/glitches or whatever where ill be watching and if I accidentally turn my phone to portrait and then back to landscape the app just straight up crashes. Also the ads have like 30 seconds of a black screen in between them which doubles the ad time from 3 minutes to somewhere like 6 or 7 minutes. Otherwise ok I use to watch the jokers

okay app, it works okay if you want to watch on your phone. The big negative is you can not cast to your TV from the App. so i wont be using the app and instead cast from the chrome browser, but that experience is kind of clunky. Edit: No problems with this app at all. being able to cast from my phone is a big improvement.

States I have a slow internet connection like the other apps in this family. Wish I could just use the app on my smart TV, but it redirects me to download and cast from this app. Why do I need to cast from my phone when I have the app already downloaded on the TV? Discover GO, ESPN, etc all have you sign in online and activate through your TV provider, and work just fine. Please take a lesson from them and go the route they did, you're missing out on a big audience.

Literally unusable. Downloaded the app, and then opened it up. Can't do anything. Clicking on any icon results in absolutely nothing. It's almost like the app immediately freezes as soon as I open it up. Have uninstalled and reinstalled. Restarted phone. Still unusable. Please fix.

When I read the reviews I thought that the app would not work, but I downloaded it any way I was surprised that I could watch the shows with no problems. P.S If you log in you won't have to keep putting your tv service provider in, and turn your phone sideways so the gray won't show.
