Tube Map - London Underground

Have used this app for as long as I can remember having a smart phone and it used to be great. I appreciate free apps need adverts to fund themselves, but it's got so bad that an advert pops up on start up and it can't be closed. Doesn't matter what you do or how long you wait, it can't be closed. App is literally unusable so will be switching apps

I have tried 4 Tube apps ... found this one to be the most useful. It works off-line just fine, although it won't have current status information in that case. It is easy to use, nice routing information, clear, simple. And did I mention it is free. I paid for the upgrades on a couple of the other apps ... not worth it at all. Try this one first!

Love the functionality. However, free version is plagued by ads that pop up and are designed to be either difficult or impossible to dismiss. Too many times I've needed to use the map urgently and have been abruptly interrupted by ads and forced to wait until the ad allows itself to be dismissed, been played through or I am forced to go tap the link. Meanwhile I miss my train.

Unless you're willing to pay £25, DO NOT DOWNLOAD. You will get 3 to 4 full screen ads in a row every time you try to use it, and the X to close the ads is fake, so when you click it you still get sent to the advertiser's site. I'm not anti-ad, but if you're travelling, you probably don't have 45 seconds to wait for ads. It was a good app 5 years ago, but no longer. In fact, 5 years ago I paid to remove ads, but with a new phone they're back and the app is just not worth it.

You're using the app in a rush and an ad pops up and covers the screen. By the time you can see the map again the train is gone, or you potentially jumped on the wrong train. If you want to have ads, at least use them in a way that doesn't make the app useless. Edit: Changing it to 1 star because the number of times this has happenedade me loathe this app. I'm now switching to a different app.

I had this app for a while, but the ads were so aggressive and disruptive that it was impossible to use it. It it is not built for its purpose anymore, whenever I needed to check sth quickly the ads would slow down the app and I would accidently click on them when trying to close them. Also it is way too expensive to unlock the app from adverts, a complete rip off. Also the bottom ads still remain even when you pay for an add free version which is unacceptable. Uninstall l and get another app!!

I've had to uninstall this app after many years of use. Such a shame. The video ads were just becoming too disruptive. I was in a rush today, trying to help someone get the right connection, when I got caught by one of the ads. I've seen feedback that you can close ads after 5 seconds but this isn't my experience. So many times I've tried and been directed instead to install the game, or I've had to click on >>> indicator which then takes me to a demo play version of the game, eventually closed

Used to be better. Lots of full page ads. This is an app you need to use for a few seconds at a time. Seeing 2 full page ads as well as several banner ads in just a 10 second line status check is ridiculous. The ads now break often. So when you press the X they don't leave. You reopen the app. And see another ad. Useless. Also when the updates on the line take up too many characters you can't see the status board, broken scroll.

I would have given the app more as the extra features and tube carriage position for exits is great, but the app errors every few times I use it and it loses my purchases. I don't have the time to troubleshoot problem apps so unfortunately I'm going to change. Also very frustrating when you get to the tube expecting it to work and it doesn't.

Paid for the ad free pro version and had to uninstall because I wasn't getting the line status updates. Reinstalled and now I'm being asked to pay £1.99 again. What gives? Edited to add - the cost to go ad free on this is up to £23. That's a rip. People who already paid for the ad free pro version shouldn't be expected to pay for this again.

I like the app to the extent of paying for it, but I'm getting notifications for things that are of little interest like days out in London. Not impressed! Edit, latest paid version still touting for Uber, still cannot turn off. Developer STILL not listening to customers!!!! As previously suggested there needs to be the ability to turn off 'alternatives' but that would hit sales of the bus app and the Uber tie in. Stop trying to milk your paid customers!!!!

I came specifically to give the app 1 star. Haven't used the app in a while, tried to establish tube line status. A quick check one would think... Far too many adverts for tiktok! Forcing me to sit through BS before getting to the info I needed. This app used to be great, I'm not a fan anymore. ALL ADS SHOULD BE SKIPABLE, I DON'T HAVE TIME OR BATTERY TO WASTE - UNINSTALLED!

Everytime you dismiss an advert, you get an annoying popup asking to remove ads using in-app purchase. Very annoying to use as an advert pops up every time you open the app. I'm not going to pay to remove adverts if you can't even bother to consider usability. I don't have issue with tthr adverts, I do have issues with the nagging popup asking me to buy the ad free version. Uninstalling.

Have used this app since the days of the iPhone4. completely unusable now, 3 pages of ad walls for each search, which amount to 20 to 30 seconds of adds that you can't skip. They are video ads aswell that will blare out on your phone, not ideal when using in public spaces. They'll charge you almost £25 for the privilege of no ads, rip off for a map just to find the simplest route.

Too many adverts. Every single time you open the app you're bombarded with a bunch of ads and it's annoying especially when you're trying to figure out and plan your journey and you just want to get it done. You're having to wait 30 seconds each time for an advert to end. It's annoying especially because many apps don't have the Elizabeth line added to thier tube map yet and this seems to be the only app I found that has that but I'm having to delete the app because of poor user experience

Delibrately Annoying but necessary app. Is very useful when there isnt a map around and to plan your journey. However, cant access the top of the map which is really frustating as it cuts off by Watford. Also, there were a few ads when i first downloaded this app 3 years ago but uninstalled because it got disruptive. I gave it a second chance and reinstalled but now it has a 3-4 ads in a row with 10 sec gap inbetween as soon as you access the ap. Then they charge you to remove the ads.

Edit: just download TFL go, much better in every way Used to be a great app but now the ads are relentless, and designed to be intrusive as possible and pop up at a time where you're clicking on the screen so you click the ad. 23 pounds to buy the "premium" package?? Which is essentially just ad free and tells you which tube door to get on. Filthy greed from the developers.

I'm trying workout which line I need to get on to get between a Thameslink station and Euston. Open the app full page push to pay to get rid of ads. Dismiss that, then another almost straight away. Finally on the map I Zoom in to the map to try and find the station I'm going to. Full video ad with sound. This is not a useable app. I can't do a basic function of essentially looking at a JPEG without being interrupted.

The ads are way too aggressive! sometimes a barrage of 2 or more ads at once, which sometimes means I accidentally click on an ad. It's ridiculous! When that happens, I just closed the app completely and go on Google, which I'm gonna do from now on. Uninstalled until this is addressed.

Ok but... In the Windows Phone version of this app it used to have live updates and departures, so you can see if trains are running but all this functionality is depreciated in the android version. It also had no Ads. Although you can see the tfl status it is not the same. It would be great to be able to select a station and see when the next train is due. I would buy the app for this functionality but not for anything else.
