Every time this app updates, functionality plummets. On Google Home, everything shows as offline. The Tuya app can't tell if something is off or on, so you have to hit power until it figures it out. I have one light that fully disconnects every other day. I have to manually turn it off and back on to reconnect. Of course this means none of the group settings or timers work. Removing all bulbs in my house from the app and reconnecting them in hopes it works multiple times a year isn't convenient.
I have a fireplace on the app, the app functions work for about a day and then I try to control temperature and a few minutes later it goes back to the lowest temperature. the low and high function won't change when I click on it. I Uninstalled the fireplace and re added, it worked for the night then the next day doing the same thing. very dissapointing!
Only about 10% of this app has anything to do with the litter box. There are no options to adjust the time from military time. Weight is given in both American and metric. The rest of the app wants to know your power consumption and permissions to turn things off and on in your home. Nothing to do with the litter box. May uninstall the app soon if it does not prove to be more useful for the litter box only.
When it's working, limited control based on the lightbulbs used. Very few choices to make for any programming or color-changing. Often fails to work, making my home stuck in some mode or another. Often advertises features I don't want instead of just doing what I need it to. I don't need it to trackcmy energy usage or be a smart device, I just want to turn my living room and bedroom lights on and to the same programmed routine at night. Pay more to use something better.
I've had these door cameras for about a month now and could never access the cameras unless someone actually rings the doorbell. Also, when I tried to navigate the settings trying to troubleshoot the issue, the basic functions options weren't available. The device will always show that it is only accessible when the doorbell is ringing. Otherwise, the units will always be in Sleep State. I've installed them and uninstalled them several times, trying to troubleshoot the issue to no avail.
Better hope you never have a reason to create a support ticket because your product stopped working and you've done what the directions say to correct it. That's the last time their products get any of my money. I submitted a ticket in mid-September, just to see if the issue could be troubleshooted before I did something drastic, like buy something completely different. So, leaving them reviews wherever I can. 0/10 recommend anything that utilizes Tuya, and the app itself. Waste of time.
App quality is poor. After changing the temperature from Celsius to Fernheight, it still shows Celsius. The auto mode will not turn the unit off. One of the main reasons I purchased this air purifier because of the features in the app, extremely disappointed. I might send it back because it's so hard to get in touch with costumer service. I just tried setting it to turn of using the schedule option. I can no longer log in and add my devices. Uninstalled it for the last time.
the app was perfectly fine until the recent update. This is on 11/7/25. now whenever you go to change a color scenes color, the light automatically defaults to a low blue instead of the color you're trying to find. Then after you've selected your color it applies it to the lights. So there's literally no possible way you will know what color you're getting until after, making it completely useless. You're just guessing and hoping it's close to what you want now. I'm not going to recommend this
This app is just another tool to gather your information for info brokers. I've used better apps that don't require account creation with email verification, locations permissions or a lengthy, intentionally vague dissertation on what they're doing with the personal information they're gathering. Oh, and the app devs keep most features locked so you pretty much have to give them your valuable information just to use the app. I'd give it 0 stars if I could.
The devices are always off-line. It doesn't matter if I'm home or away, it doesn't stay connected for long and the only way I've found to be able to connect again is is to physically touch a button in the device. I bought these to use while I'm out of town, so what's the point if my devices are never online? That said, when they were connected, thankfully I created meal plans and even when my devices will not connect or they say they're offline, it still feeds the pets at the predetermined time
6.0 ruined it. Takes more steps to do than previous version. For an example, I can't just see all my devices at the start. I have to click all devices separately. For reading the temperature on a sensor, I have to open the device whereas before, it showed the temperature at the tile. Inefficient. I also hate the nag to subscribe to their service. Marketing notifications should not be mixed with device notifications. But that was also the case in the old versions.
App is cumbersome and difficult to use. Every time I open the, for example, a notification pop's up saying a device is disconnected and I have to confirm to remove? It's annoying! The schedule's I create do not always work and once a device is connected, I'm limited on what I can actually do unless I pay for another subscription service! Not happening! I already have enough of those and don't want another!
I use the app for CCTV, the app works "ok" most of the time. My issue is that, CCTV is put in place so it can be reviewed if something has happened, Tuya make this extremely difficult. If you need to look for an event over a period of time you have no option but to watch the entire playback at normal speed. Make it possible to select a portion of the footage and allow it to be downloaded in a playable format, you can't even remove the sd card to access it due to strange file formats used.
Had a Bluetooth device that was only controllable through this app. When it stopped working, customer service told me I would need to buy a gateway in order to reconnect (even though I didn't need one two days before). On top of this, they seemed to have no understanding of the actual issue I was having, and were rather rude when I said I wasn't going to spend more money on a Bluetooth gateway. I normally just bite my tongue and move on after a bad experience, but there was a lack of effort here
The app OK, but it needs more. It needs to offer a way to review and change pin codes that have been set either for members or temporarily. It's also somewhat unstable, in that it sometimes takes hours or even days to sync changes to the lock. It also fails to log 100% of the activities and/or doorbell rings. As a rental property owner, this can be problematic. When it's working 100% it's very useful. unfortunately that isn't a 100% of the time.

Aquariums, but I have to check daily that actually turned on and off. All 4 have completely stopped responding to the schedule since daylight savings time started. They always acknowledge Alexa when told to turn on. It's definitely something with the app. Please fix!

While I like the camera, the app is kind of second rate. Very slow opening the camera and most of the time I have to open and close the app before the camera comes on. Makes no difference how long you wait. You still have to open and close the app. There used to be a " format sd card" option for erasing pictures. Now it's gone and support just tells me to have the app engineer look at it. An impossible task there. Support sucks! Ever try to erase 1,000's of pictures 15 at a time?
Ultimately, it gets the job done, and I like my bulbs. I'm pretty disappointed with how frequently they will disconnect/non-responsive, sometimes even one out of a pair that share a power source while the other continues to work. Rebooting consistently fixes it, but it's a bit annoying. Sometimes, this problem only affects the voice control through Alexa/Google, but sometimes the app will also not work, and I have to reboot the app a couple of times before it works.
For a while, everything worked as intended. All lights worked properly and response time was quick. It even worked well using the Google home app and voice control. For the past 3 weeks now, all of my lights are malfunctioning. Most of the time they show they are offline and I have to manually reset each one. I have tried working through their troubleshooting and all the steps they said would fix it. Nothing has changed on my end including networking/hardware/etc.
