It (the new version of this app) does NOT work on starting the app (vs the old version that can work smoothly)

The app would stop working suddenly whenever there's a news notification sent out by TVB, and you would have to re-launch the app again to resume watching...., which could take upto several minutes. If the news notifications are frequent, well good luck because there's no way you can watch a complete news session without interruption. This started happening since their recent update to 2.4.0 and it still has not been fixed in the current update 2.4.2. That's 3 updates in a few days and it's only getting you more and more frustrated. Well, please test your app before releasing it.

can you fix the video player? when you play a long video (not live stream, not short clips) after a few clicks the time bar would no longer show up and the player will not respond to any gesture control. So you cant move forward or backward on the video .. it has been like this for months

Too many ads! After loading the app, there is a 5 second ad. Then it TRIES to load the front page, takes forever, change to a different tab... another 5 second ad. Worst thing is, it didnt load the news under that tab. The live news does work and the ads are less intrusive.

Installed apps again lately, all work pretty well and smooth. * Wish there's dark mode option. (2018 No video , just dark display with audio only. Now the TVB logo at startup just stay there and doing nothing else, you can't tell if the apps is stuck or still starting up or got virus. Uninstalled. )

always stop, couldn't continually played ! other apps via vpn with no such problem, this problem appeared since the first version ! always disliked the commercials ! updated today version, watching tvb news no sound, the only option to hit sound channel onlt !!! was the worst APP I ever met ! Also The TVB NEWS too much overhead, news time only fraction of its total time, too many other tvb programs introduction, over 50% !!

The first time I installed and opened this app, an advert came up which prevented me from accessing whatever this app could offer. There was no way to close the advert. Uninstalled and reinstalled, same advert came up. This app is a joke letting advert to take over. Avoid.

Always disconnect during the live connection which is quite disturbing and he most impact is missing the news content once disconnected. Others are perfect. News notification is very helpful which can always get the latest handful news information.

Love the live-streaming news channels. App is slow and stalling/rendering unfortunately. App UI design is just ok when using on mobile devices. The navigation is terrible for non-touch devices such as Android TV. May 2020 update - I have no problem running the app's live video streams on my mobile or Android TV. I dont know why the other reviews say audio only.

The start up screen keeps loading and then it either goes into indefinite loop or exits automatically for Samsung Note 9. Never happened before but this problem pops up after the mandate registration. Tried uninstall and reinstall many times but still does not work

The sports news is the greatest. They often display a blank page and one hears some text only. The word "vision" in television means watching (and not only listening)!

The app is going to be very bad these months! Internet here is good but just needed to wait for minutes for a single news while advertisements come real quick and smooth??!!

Buggy as hell, but I learned to live with it. Now that 新聞台 is audio only for overseas, the app is getting closer to be worthless. I guess soon the 財經資信台 will become audio only too… That will be the sure way to stop users from using it.

I have not been able to view videos in Toronto as there is always a pop up indicating server problem, even after uninstalling and reinstalling!

Annoying with frequent updates (more than once within a week) and won't let you use the App unless you update to the latest version.

Good app, quite stable, except quite a lot of ads, but it is understandable, the income from ads is to let business to keep running, that's why it is acceptable and still give them 5 stars rating

Very slow in opening and loading up the News at the start of the App. Sometimes cannot start at all.

Everytime I rotate my phone during the live news, the app freaking closes. Like what the heck, I'm just trying to watch the news.
