Their is definitely a learning curve, but it's a really fun, polished keyboard once you learn it. The fine control of the cursor position, and the backspacing are amazing (if you backspace too far you can slide forward again and it will retype what you deleted!) The auto correct is solid too. The one thing I would like them to add is a search bar for the emoji section.

The keyboard is very unique and fun to learn. The spellcheck is okay, but for me it's missing a few features that are keeping me from fully switching. For instance it would sometimes correct words based on the word and not me hitting a finger next door. I also had trouble with it randomly entering "ill" instead of "I'll", but the predictive word options wouldn't show I'll, so I'd have to go back to correct it adding in '. Minimal emoji support (no search or predictive). I still like it a lot!

I tried but it's a bit broken. Love the hex layout and I dedicated some time to get better at it. Love that they thought to add a game to get used to it. Got the Pro. However, the typo corrections and suggestions are below par compared to GBoard and often simply don't work when you click on them. I couldn't even finish the tutorial because the long press function is broken. After awhile of super slow typing and many text msg typos I've given up. Security policy with openai is also sketchy

I've been using this keyboard for a good long while now, and for me it has two weaknesses. The first is that there is no way to use numbers on the main keyboard, you have to switch over to numbers and symbols. The second is that the auto correction can be pretty spotty. Sometimes auto correction ends up turning my word into total nonsense, not even a word. Sometimes it doesn't change to the most obvious word, changing too many letters. Other than that, this is a very good keyboard.

I used to love this keyboard until they started making layout changes without other options. I loved the hex layout for symbols and numbers since it matched the layout of the keyboard, now that it doesn't anymore it is so awkward and takes way too long to find a number or symbol (they took a lot away, or I simply cannot find them anymore). Seriously thinking of just going back to aboard. Edit: thank you for putting the symbol keyboard back! It's so much better and ergonomic for typing.

On one hand, having used gboard for 8 years, its really hard to get used to, and I find myself periodically switching to other keyboards. On the other hand, I find myself always switching back to this one because now I'm used to the swipe deletion, which i really really like. Literally the only thing I'm missing is gif insertion.

I wrote a review for this already, and somehow it's gone. There should be some sort of swipe texting option, and it was a little depressing that it didn't have that. However, after typing this review for a second time, it makes sense that it wouldn't have it because swipe likely takes up a lot more space than a dictionary if it's offline. Regardless, I downloaded it for the privacy and was gonna pay the 25 bucks, but had to abandon it due to the absence of any swipe style typing.

Within a week of using this keyboard I had gotten used to the layout. I've noticed after a month of usage that my typos are, in fact, way down. Unfortunately, two of my most common typos on a regular keyboard (accidentally hitting "m" instead of space and accidentally hitting "l" instead of "o") are still present with this keyboard, just less common. The larger size of the keys really helps. I just wish the suggestions AI was as good as Google's.

The hex keyboard is so much easier to type on than regular rectangle keyboards!I friggin' LOVE that you can swipe up to capitalize a letter, like, it's about time, amirite? I do wish I could make some keys bigger and some smaller, because I often hit certain keys instead of the ones I'm going for, and I wish I could "hold and swipe" to move up and down in a text box, as well as right and left. Man, only 500 chars? Sometimes I wish I could swipe (glide?) to type, but it's not necessary.

Updating my review. I previously tried the keyboard for a month (because I like novel tech/software) and wasn't too impressed. After coming back to it and using it for at least 3-5 months, got used to typing on it and it became my regular keyboard. That's when the other flaws became apparent. Specifically the autocorrect. It's pretty hit or miss. I finally got fed up when just yesterday it autocorrected "journaling" to "journal king". I switched back to Gboard.

Oh. My. God. No typing app has seemed to work for me. Until now. The hexagon keyboard may look crazy, but I typed several misc paragraphs (which took about 15 minutes) and I discovered the keys are still in the same general area of the screen. There's a strange familiarity already baked in. You're still using the "correct" thumb you'd normally type with. I'd compare it to a new car with a touchy gas pedal; you already know how to drive, so the change isn't really that big a deal. Get it!

I used to love this keyboard but with the new changes its becoming increasingly difficult to use. When swiping to find numbers or symbols the keyboard registers it as clicking on symbols. I end up having to go back and delete the ones that pop up. Not to mention having to search for the right character. Every. Time. The only good update is the caps lock. I‘m very dissapointed as this app used to be a favorite and now will have to go and find another one that is actually user friendly.

I'm pretty interested in the theory of this keyboard but the execution comes a bit short. Autocorrect could use a bit of tuning and the lack of certain autocorredt on certain contractions such as "I'd" and "don't" is annoying. It's also pretty bad at recognizing when any key surrounding the space keys is mistakenly tapped. Most keyboards these days will recognize this, but typewise really does struggle with it. I want to like this keyboard but clearly the devs have a way to go.

Changing my review because I pulled the trigger on the subscription to try out the full version. It's been 2 weeks and I've now cancelled it and uninstalled, down to 2 stars now. It's less functional and causes more typos than I thought, and I don't believe it's just a learning curve thing. Other keyboards (Fleksy as an example) are just faster and have better capabilities.

Very difficult to get used to. I haven't decided yet if it was money well spent. I would love to see the ability to move the space bar(s) to the bottom so all the letters are in the proper QWERTY location. I would also love the ability to flip where periods, commas, exclamation marks, and question marks go. I would be so much more efficient on that kind of keyboard with customization abilities. Two stars for now based on current functionality. Lifetime subscription purchases.

It was weird to start. I really like some of it, once you get used to it, the layout is generally quicker. But it edits my stuff without permission, and there doesn't appear to be a way to make it stop. I occasionally swear, and it changes nearly every swear word to something else, but not all. Add that it just loves pluralizing stuff and I spend more time fixing errors than I gain in the layout. Add the near constant harassment to pay them, and it becomes much less compelling.

It's really cool and interesting to use. It has a learning curve but it isn't too bad. But opening the settings throws a bunch of adds for the pro mode. To activate basic setting like vibration; you need to buy the pro mode?? It's just makes the whole experience worse when you have adds pop up just to customise your preferences. And it doesn't help that half the settings are locked behind a pay wall.

Cool concept. The hex pattern takes some getting used to though. I see how it might be quicker with enough time. The one thing that I could not get over was the auto correct and the predictive text. Both left me wishing for more. It also felt like they dangled the predictive text in front of you to promote the paid upgrade. Example being some words that would obviously be what I was typing, were only available with the paid version. Keep up the good work though.

I'm kind of intrigued by the new keyboard, but I find it's autocorrection very lacking. It forces me to put punctuation in for contractions like "I'm", and it almost never corrects errors to the right word. I find myself switching back to Gboard, like I did to type out this review. Not sure if I'll keep it. I also wish there was a number row or special characters under the letters to access "(," "*," and "@" easier. It's just not as convenient.

Great keyboard. I'm not a dual-hand typer, but I can see how Typewise would make this easier. Takes a little time to get used to the new key layout, but the larger hex keys and resulting more accurate typing make up for that. My only minus, as others have stated, is no backspace or delete key. You swipe backwards to erase, which is fine for letters or a few words, but extremely tedious for paragraphs. In this case, it's easier to select and cut (delete) the text. Overall very good app!
