Before you order, go to the restaurant's website and look at their prices. UE tacks on extra price to every item, before charging ridiculous fees, before charging an "optional" tip and asking if you want to pay even more to avoid having your driver make multiple stops on the way. All for your $15 turned $30+ order to arrive an hour later cold. Just order takeout and go get the food. It will be faster and save you both money and energy.

In the past year, they've made the support options worse by limiting the specific feedback you can leave and burying the options you need behind numerous unnecessary selections. This is clearly a move to discourage people from reporting missing or defective items. And the support is hit or miss. Sometimes they respond quickly and issue a refund. Sometimes they blame the restaurant and do nothing at all. And we're talking about completely wrong orders (different name completely).

Very terrible app. You can no longer get someone on customer service. Everything is done through robot chat. I've had too many complications with orders lately. And all the sudden they don't allow you to cancel orders immediately if there's an issue. They charge you almost the full amount to cancel orders now. Greedy Corporation trying to take advantage of people. I will I will be deleting this app and never using it again.

If the store and driver are competent, there is usually not a problem. But if one is off, your order can be late, have missing items or be totally lost. Customer service is difficult to get a hold of. You have to use website not app. Plus agents are rude and try to rush you along. For example, Danica could give me a refund for 2 of my missing/wrong items but the 3rd missing item was beyond her scope to handle. She credited the separate order of fries but not the kids meal missing fries

They try to automate too many systems. Their help chat is unhelpful and will flag a safety issue when you just want a reciept. When you place an order, after the confirmation page - you can't view what the payment method was. You get no reciept until the delivery is completed. So.... why am i not allowed to see the confirmation page again? Sus af to not have it available the entire time. Also, it takes forever to get on the phone with anyone on support.

I canceled an order 5-10 minutes after placing it. Uber Eats took the whole payment regardless and refused, several times, a refund. I asked customer service three times to refund because it was only 5-10 minutes after placing the order, and they ended the "chat" each time. I remember the days when customer service was over the phone, or you could properly dispute a case. It is absurd, no matter the store, to pay almost full price if you cancel an order within a decent time range. Absurd.

I don't recommend any of these delivery apps. I recently switched from Door Dash to Uber Eats. I made an order, and when the driver arrived, they mentioned that the items I ordered were missing and that the order needed to be canceled. Canceling the order on my phone ended up charging me $28. I contacted support, and they basically said theres nothing they can do because I canceled the order.

Honestly, it was great at first, but now it's just gone to the gutter. I used to get a decent deal on some foods when I first started, but now the deals are just for groceries with a minimum of $75. It's even worse if you have Uber One! The taxes just get bigger, to the point where a $24 meal turns into $38, and that's not including the required tip for your driver. Thank god I unsubscribe!

Absolutely atrocious customer service. I've tried many times to accept this app but it's horrible. Not once have I had an order be correct, and only once have I been refunded for my issues. I've had food come with mistakes, food missing all together, etc. No way to talk to a real person to get this dealt with properly. Tried ordering again today, missing four sandwiches, the app OVERCHARGING me for items NOT on my list, time to dispute with my bank. I beg of you, don't use this app!

This app is not worth paying for. The restaurants screw up often and miss parts of your order, which then support refuses to refund, so the 'membership discount' is basically the cost of your food you're not getting. Support is useless and won't give you any real answers, just says 'no' and that's it. I have not had a SINGLE correct order in the past two weeks. Download literally any other food delivery app, customer service is the absolute worst and you'll never actually get what you order.

I ordered some groceries with the subtotal being around $22, adding taxes and service fees it was $27 and that was fine, I had enough in my account to pay for it. I got my groceries, a great delivery driver amazing communication and was very professional. The issue is that later on in the day I received an email about my receipt and the price of my order had been upped by $6. Apparently it was additional service fees and taxes which were already added to my original order beforehand.

Biggest rip-off with the add-on fees. Also, if you get the wrong order (as happened to me, I received food I am allergic to and NOT what I ordered) they just give you $5 credit when the cost of getting the incorrect food in the first place is much more than $5 and to reorder new food cost more than $5. They clearly do not value their customers and I will be uninstalling this app.

Bad customer service. Did not help me with my issue. Ordered food at the wrong location in a different state and canceled. wanted a refund so we can buy again at the right location but didn't get a refund. We canceled the order not even a minute after ordering after noticing the wrong location. Two days later, I tried ordering, and it would not allow me to order. I called them, and they said they would email to help me fix the problem, but they never emailed me back. My voucher expired too.

Edit: Tried to use their grocery delivery today and when an item was missing they told me nothing they can do, no reason. Don't cancel an order on "your own," ask them for help, or they will give the resturant your money and not deliver it without any warning. Even after a second the reaturant is already "hard at work" and the driver is "on the way." so your money and tip are gone. I'm sure many people love just giving their money away for free, canceling your order is a "great" (scam) feature.

This app is so untruful in everything it says. it will tell you 0$ delivery fee for orders over 15$. My order is 17$ and its still charging me a 6$ delivery fee on top of "other" fees for 4$. I even have their subscription for no delivery fees. makes me wonder how long this has been going on without me noticing. Also they time it says it will take it not accurate at all its always double or more the time for me to actually get my food.

I’ve had multiple orders arrive incorrect — missing items, wrong deliveries, and no resolution. I always report the issues through the app, but no one ever replies. The support chat just says “please wait while we respond” and then nothing happens. I’ve been completely ignored. Despite being a loyal customer, I haven’t received a single refund for these mistakes. There’s no way to talk to a real person, and the app just loops you through dead ends. It’s unacceptable.

Why would you remove the option to sort restaurants by distance/delivery times? Now all I get are restaurants that are 1 hour delivery times and can't tell what's near me and open. The app is almost unusable unless I know exactly what restaurant I want to order from. edit: well you did it again for some reason. no option to filter by delivery time or distance, no filter for restaurants I've favorited, just a bunch of promotions for garbage fast food. Why do you hate your users?

Horrible customer service and poor app UI. Restaurant and grocery orders very often are missing items, or food is damaged like eggs being completely cracked. Uber has never once offered any sort of refund or voucher. How can you charge me when entire items are missing from the order? It's also now very hard to get a human representative, and all they tell me to do is leave a review on the order. DoorDash is better in every way. They give refunds right away after sending photo proof.

The estimated time to receive food is always off by at least 15 minutes. My arrival times are constantly pushed back. There have been too many errors with my orders and Uber hasn't refunded me, just gave me a small credit that doesn't even pay for the ridiculous and unnecessary fees they charge. Will be deleting this and downloading door dash.

Even with a paid membership, you will still have fees that (almost) equals the cost of a full membership with another food delivery service that... I'm actually upset that I didn't cancel like I said and got suckered into a discounted renewal rate; I immediately regretted giving this company the $3 to keep an app I am growing to hate. Also, if you look closely, fees charged when you order from chain and fast food restaurants are always much, MUCH cheaper. Pretty sure that's not coincidence 🧐
