Edit: I was having issues with the app not loading. I cleared the app cache and data and now it's working like a charm. The app worked great for the first two days. Now I can't get it to load any of my courses. It's really unfortunate because the app makes learning so convenient, bit I've just been staring at a loading screen all day. I hope they can get this worked out.

I think this is a great app.. when it works. I have access through an organization and for the life of me I cannot get my credentials to say logged in longer than a few hours at most. It's hit or miss and mostly a miss. Most of the time, the app takes me to the website where I log in and access the lessons through there. Sometimes it will load the lessons in the app but if I pause, I get logged out. Not sure if this is an organization problem or an application problem. Would still recommend!

This app is terrible. Videos will stop loading in the middle of a course and will just get the spinning circle icon. When I close the app completely and try to load the app from scratch, the app itself won't even load (spinning circle that never goes away). I get the same thing when trying wifi and mobile data. What's the point of making a mobile app if it doesn't even work? You'll be better off just taking the courses on a laptop if you're on the go.

It works, sometimes. It's a bit slow and needs to be force quit a lot due to getting stuck loading. The more frustrating thing is that it uses a very nonstandard video player that does not hide the play controls automatically when tapped and does not automatically go into picture in picture mode. Why reinvent the wheel? The developers should have just used standard video players and behaviors.

The site is experiencing some difficulties. Please check again in a few minutes. (this message happens far too often - even when the network status is green) Single sign on with Microsoft frequently ends up in an infinite loop if you are logging back in (your session has expired). You have to uninstall and reinstall in order to get back into the application.

Casting to Chromecast doesn't work. It just says "waiting for course" forever. I stopped the cast and it started playing on the phone but had no way to control it. I had to force close the app to make it stop. The app is still terrible. It will only play the first chapter over and over. I guess that is a small improvement over never playing anything

Edit: I submitted a ticket and it's resolved. It keeps skipping videos while casting to TV. Tried taking a React course. Of course I want to watch this on my 85" TV. The first video loaded correctly, but then it skipped to the 6th course. If I stopped casting and continued on my phone screen, it would work. There's no way I'm watching a 20 hour course on my tiny screen. Also when a video does play on my TV, the title bar is always visible and thus blocks 1/3 of the screen. Please fix asap.

Wierd App: It doesn't consider the chapters watched from the downloads, you need to go through them again online to get the certificate. Also, it is impossible to get back to online app if you have watched anything from downloads for an hour or so, you need to clear the downloaded content to make app work again. And, it tries to look for network even if the downloaded content is available, hence you are forced to turn off network if you have a poor connection and want to watch from downloads.

Good content, terrible download speeds. I can usually find a decent entry level course for whatever I am looking for. Advanced content taught effectively is not always as easy to find. The ability to download a course is great but the terrible speed it downloads (even over really fast broadband) is prohibitive to being able to easily plan content for travel legs of a trip etc because it takes days or longer to download. Please get a better CDN.

Application seems to have an issue when you go from Wi-Fi to mobile when you're streaming the audio it gets bugged and you can't get the audio to play while you're on mobile. I'm going to try to download the entire courses prior to going on the road to see if this fixes the issue. Will send and update when available.

Udemy itself is great but this app buffers so much it makes it difficult. I can't use it away from home at all because without my wifi it only plays a few seconds at a time. It's crashed a few times and randomly skips forward a lesson so I can't listen while doing something else. It also provided no help or process other than a download notification when I tried to listen offline, so I wasn't able to figure it out.

App works well. Lots of interesting content. With the versatility to provide documentation resources as well as quizzes. The only frustrating thing I've run into is that you can cast videos to the tv but the progress of having watched isn't associated with your course progress when you do that. Hopefully they can fix that.

udemy is amazing! this app is not. the login flow (via Gale, via my public library) doesn't work in the app so it just loads Chrome and never logs you in to the app itself. whenever I'm watching a video, the app randomly starts playing it even after you minimize the app which is reeeeeally annoying.

The access to content is fantastic, but the app leaves a lot to be desired. the two primary issues are 1) Lectures repeat instead of progressing to the next lecture, even when the option is enabled, and 2) lecture completion is not reflected in course progress. completed lectures are not marked as completed. These two issues are serious deficiencies to what should be a core requirement for an education platform.

would give 5 stars if it didn't just stop playing videos. everything works until eventually it just refuses to play the next video. there is a notice saying try using the computer, but the whole point of me using the app is when I am not near my computer!

Great app if you want to watch lectures directly on the device but casting to a chromecast just doesn't work. I have tried casting to multiple chromecasts in different households however it never seems to load. Very disappointing.

It has helped a lot, very useful application. One suggestion is to update time when given the practice tests as well along with the video content. Have spent so much of time in tests but neither the streak updates nor the learning time. Requesting to consider this

Frustrating that downloaded content does not play. Shows video controls but no video plays. Ap is up to date. Another nonfunctional mobile app.

A nightmare to use. Freezes and lectures never load. Progress is not getting reflected. Customer support says that they are aware of the bugs and trying to resolve them. I am reaching out to the procurement team of my organisation to make sure the contract doesn't get renewed. There are several other platforms that are more reliable and useful.
