Universal Remote Samsung TV

I downloaded this app because we couldn't find the TV remote, at no point was any charge mentioned. When reviewing my subscriptions on Google Play to see a different renewal date I realized that when I downloaded the app there was $0.00 "charge" then they charged me 12.99 PER WEEK for a subscription. This is insanity, definitely a scam, luckily I caught it before I was charged more than twice.

Doesn't function unless you have the original remote to the device for the first time set up, which makes it a moot point. The when purpose of downloading an app that functions as a remote control (to almost anything) is almost unilaterally, to use in the event that you either do not have a remote to begin with, or you have a non functioning remote control. If I had the remote to the TV, I wouldn't download yet another useless app that I would end up deleting in a couple of days to save battery!

Almost completely unusable. The ads pop up every couple of clicks with zero way to skip. I highly recommend you don't download this app. Find a different one to use. Edit: the company doesn't care. They copy paste responses to people. Not the mention the kissing emoji seems like they hire complete morons. If I can leave less than a one star I would in a heartbeat.

I'm trying to set this thing up. I keep having to change my Wi-Fi settings to find which one is connected to the TV and EVERY time I just open the friggin app I have an unskippable ad and a request for a monthly subscription. LET ME SET IT UP FIRST, GEEZUS! Then hit me with the ads and benefits package. I will never know if this actually works

pointless I have 2 remotes for my Samsung. but 1s good for everything except volume which the other is great for and U need a remote to connect this "phone" remote anyway. I was thinking it'd be good for the sound bar, and other things. but no. I'd stick with wot it came with. lol

Fake App!! if you can somehow get the app to work, it's $12.⁰⁰ a week. Soo yeah, don't waist your time and most of the remote control apps are from the same BS scamming developers. They need to be taken off of Google play services.

I chose this app because my remote didn't work properly and before using this app to control my television i need to use my remote which doesn't work This app is useless

Doesn't work. Sees the TV and even adding by IP it won't connect properly.

Sucks really bad! So many ads, you can't even really use it.

The setup apparently included a deceptive ad that asked for my credit card info, in order to "access my content," on a site I had never heard of. Not cool. On top of that, I had to dismiss an ad--in Portuguese!?--just to start using the remote. Even free, this just isn't worth the hassle.

Could be a good app if: - if it was working (fails connecting to my TV now, was working before) - if there wasn't literally 1 ad at each click... EDIT: Regarding your comment "working on the ads to reduce them", your are copy/pasting this same answer for 1 year and half at least. So it means nothing going on on the app anymore. Regarding "anything else to help with", yes, as I mentioned, the app doesn't work anymore, can't connect to the TV... While others app like "Samsung TV Remote" can

Hard to set up. Also I am trying to update my Blueray player which is also Samsung, but need to access setup for that. Just like my universal remote this will let you start or stop a Blueray, but you can't get to setup. I'll just stick with my physical universal remote & guess I'll be ordering a replacement Blueray player remote.

I don't usually take the time to submit bad reviews as its usually a waste of time, however, this app is poorly designed i want to warn any person getting near this application to go back the way they came... Unresponsive, has an add per every (i mean it) action taken within the app, and if you figure out how to sync completely will start asking for more and more permissions, some doesnt even seem related to the app proper functioning.

Nothing came up apon opening except ad apon ad. Absolutely no remote in sight. Developer response: Thank you for rating our Samsung Smart TV Remote Control! Can you answer us in more details and let us find the question as soon as possible? Have you connected the app process to the device? We look forward to your reply, thank you. Me: Would have loved to do that, but as I stated 'NOTHING CAME UP EXCEPT ADS!!!!' NO other options were available at all! No way to circumvent the ads. Ap is broken.

FALSE APP!! ITS AN AD. Worst app that isn't even an app!! Just a link to take you to their website to order a remote. It's an ad in the version of an app to have you buy a universal remote. What a shame! And you guys are a team creating this?? All of you are worthless go find a real job. Creating an ad to fool people to buy your item. Catch up to the real world already.

App wasn't installed 3 minutes before I started getting ads. I couldn't correctly set it up before the attack of the ads. Another commenter said that as soon as you press any button an ad pops up. It's so unbelievably true. Uninstalled immediately

Only work once and only when the tv is on. Once you turn off the tv you cannot turn it on. And when you turn on the tv again using physical remote, you no longer can use this remote apps, you will need to get permission again by clicking your physical remote. But even so, the apps stop working on second attempt.

so danm many ads and not worth wasting your time downloading this remote

***Update-Thanks for reply. The remote is awesome it's just that the ads ruin it for me and I'd be willing to pay to remove them. But not a lot. I think I can get the OEM remote for my Samsung TV for $6 or $7 on ebay. So maybe I'd pay $3 bucks for the pro(ad-free) version. *** . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Is their a pro version or some way to get rid of ads?
