Honestly, most apps just annoy me, but this one kinda works. It gets the job done, turning my phone into a remote for the TV, which is surprisingly useful. It’s pretty affordable for what it offers, and I guess it saves me from hunting down the actual remote half the time. Not bad, considering how frustrating other similar things can be. If you need a remote solution without spending a fortune, this will do the trick.
Yo, this app is lit for controlling your TV. Real talk, it works every time I whip it out to change the channel or crank up the volume. No lag or issues at all, just smooth transitions. My phone's my remote now, and it's a vibe. If you need that kind of setup, definitely check it out.
This app is fire. Turns your phone into a legit TV remote. No issues at all, totally reliable. Changed how I chill at home. Quick to set up, always connects. Definitely worth downloading if you watch a lot of shows.
Trying to watch my favorite show on a Wednesday night, I found myself unable to locate the TV remote. In a moment of desperation, I grabbed my phone and opened MyRem. It turned out to be lightning-fast, transforming my device into a fully functional remote. With just a flick of my finger, I was switching channels in seconds, without any lag. What a relief that was, allowing me to dive right back into my evening without missing a beat!
This app works well. Use a phone or tablet to control the TV easily. Connection was quick, and all functions are there. No issues so far. It simplifies everything nicely.
A few months in and I’m still impressed with this remote control solution. Initially, I had some reservations, but those doubts have vanished. The integration with my devices was smoother than I anticipated, and now I grab my phone for everything TV-related. It’s not just a convenience; it’s saved me the hassle of hunting for the actual remote. For what I paid, the continued performance has been a real surprise. Just solid value day in and day out.
I can't stand most apps out there, but this one actually gets the job done. Sure, it turns your phone or tablet into a remote for your TV. Not that I was asking for that, but hey, it saves me from searching for that lost controller under the couch. It's a decent alternative when you’re too lazy to get up. So, while I’d prefer not to be impressed, I’ll admit this app does its job without making a fuss.
Setting up MyRem was straightforward. Device recognition happens efficiently, generally within 5 seconds, allowing for prompt access to available controls. The interface operates with minimal latency, usually around 30ms, which contributes to responsive interactions. Protocol support is robust, accommodating both infrared and Wi-Fi-enabled devices, ensuring compatibility across a broad range of televisions. Overall, the initial performance indicates reliability, making it a practical choice for
Great little app. Works on most TVs I've encountered. Couldn't be handier. I especially like the option to change channels in bars and clubs. Inevitable the show changes from a show everyone wants to watch to one they don't. Staff scrambles to find the remote, but I can just pull out my phone and switch it to whatever is most popular with everyone. Ads are small and not intrusive.
Utilizing MyRem transforms a smartphone or tablet into an efficient universal controller designed specifically for televisions. The responsiveness is noteworthy, with a latency averaging around 30ms, making navigation fluid. This application supports a wide array of protocols, ensuring compatibility with multiple TV brands. A standout feature is the ability to customize buttons, tailoring the remote to personal preferences.
The ad spam is ridiculous, 3 ads before you can even use it. Forces you to pick the tv brand everytime you open it, no way to make it default to one. The remote itself only works half the time, you have to press buttons multiple times for them to work (not a tv nor phone issue, I've checked with different apps). Don't bother with this trash.
What can I say, this app just works. There is no messing around. I have downloaded many remote control apps in the last month and finally after 7 tries I had found one that works great with my new tv at home. Now I have found myself stuck in a hospital for a week, they have a tv but have lost the remote and all of the ones that I had downloaded will not work because they are brand specific. So I downloaded this universal remote control app and it works fast and flawlessly
Its very nice because we had lost our TV remote ever since we got the TV, and with this app I don't even need to get off the couch to change the volume input or even turn on the TV. The only reason I didn't rate it five stars was because sometimes when I press the buttons it won't do anything. If they could fix that it would definitely be 5 stars
It works, but the ads are too annoying. All the worst - fullscreen, big buttons, videos - you name it, and they are literally everywhere. Makes it impossible to use the app. They also did this little thing I don't approve - the app name is different in the appstore and your apps list. So when you try to uninstall, you'll have to look for it.
My kids Tv has been off since their remote stopped working. I searched for apps that will unable them to use their smartphone to control the Tv but I ended up downloading lots of apps and uninstalling them. The moment I clicked on this, it was very simple and my phone connected to the Tv through my house broadband immediately. Thanks for creating this app, I'm grateful to have finally found a useful remote control for my tv. I also love the way it is simple and easy to use.
I won't lie, I really liked this app it was literally the best remote app ever until after some days or weeks, more or less then it stopped working. I uninstalled to install again but there was no change in situation and I now don't know if I should recommend it to someone or not but now all I can say is, it is real wack!
Worked flawlessly for 3 years, with minimal to no ads. Great for Devices with IR controller (remotes) AKA: Non "Smart" TVs. Now it crashes as you select favorite TV. Sadly I must just let it go. Tried reinstalling, Flush data - Nothing sticks, constantly crashes.
I've trying to fix my grandpa's tv because his speakers are super loud and I have exams and all of the neighbors are annoyed by it. That becomes a big problem for us. The TV remote is broken so we can't choose who will. We can't decide who should give up but then this app makes everything better!!!! Thxxxxxxxxxx so muchhhhh
The only app that works for my hisense tv. My wife, however, isn't able to find it in the app store, and she has an android phone, as well. Kinda' odd... Thx for the prompt reply! We are using the Google Play app store, that's why we found it so puzzling. We sat next to each other and compared the Google Play app store menus and were perplexed by the differences in product options, we figured it had something to do with the phone manufacturer; I have an LG and she has a Samsung. Weird, No?!
Work but ads. The pop up ads in this ads in the app make it really inconvenient, especially the full screen ones. It's easy to use and to set but the ads make it annoying to use. There are plenty of other free apps that do the same thing but have no disruptive ads or no ads at all.
