So far not a good first experience. I got my loan the end of December. I paid 2 payments early and shouldnt have a payment due until March but they applied both payments to January. I called several times to get this fixed. Once they finally did, it said no payment due until March but it looks like they actually tried to charge me a third and fourth time instead of applying the extra payment already made so it shows I still owe!! I also have only gotten one statement.
The app is not clear. When you click on My Products (your open accounts), you find the name of the account, your next payment and the outstanding balance (doesn't include the expected interest with ontime payments). Underneath you will find the loan amount (amount that doesn't include expected interests), the loan term (for how many months the loan is) and the date of the next payment. Right after, you will find posted payments. Nowhere to find the next payment days and how many payments left.
horrible company! doesn't matter if you make your payments on time, they will take your credit line away from you gradually even though you've made your payments on time even with extra. so every few months if something happens somewhere else to you financially on your credit report they WILL take your credit with them away. I do NOT recommend this company of financial PREDATORS! also, when you make your payments, it will not reflect in your account for 10 days to make more interest.
I set up autopay 4 times on this P.o.S. app. Each time I received an email saying "autopay set-up was successful". Yet when I login to the P.o.S. app. It still says to "set-up autopay." When I contacted "support" to resolve my issue. It took an hour to speak to a actual person. It took their "support" less than 2 minutes to say they wouldn't help me and end the chat! I recommend Upgrade to absolutely no one and will be giving them 1 star reviews where ever I can.
Don't do it. Card seemed good at first in a pinch to pay off some debt. Once you start making payments, they will lower your credit limit time after time. I have auto pay set up and never missed a payment. I try to make little small purchases while I'm paying it off so I don't get hit for no activity. Furthermore it's not really a credit card. "The limit is not reported to credit bureau".... so they say
I have been an Upgrade customer, for only several weeks now. However I am finding their app, a great financial tool in many ways. From current credit, and checking account balances, to credit scores, everything is at your fingertips. The app is easy to navigate, and understand. Appears to be a great company, with excellent customer service, by phone as well. Highly recommended
It's amazing! It's a loan (that gives you cashback) credit card! You get a huge amount, gives you different amounts you prefer to withdraw & move to any checking account! It gives you your monthly payment option before conforming to make sure that's what you want! You get the funds the next business day or less. The app is amazing, I got an 8k amount to my SoFi bank to pay off all my credit cards & a other loan. Payments smooth for about 7 months now. Intrest isn't noticeable paid in full.
I have really enjoyed using upgrade, and have had great experiences with customer service. Always a live person when you call. at least in my experience. I'm changing my rating from 5 stars to 3. The reason I'm changing it because after having high credit limit, using it for a couple years never changing I paid it off in a lump some and then immediately within the month, they lowered my credit availbility to 1/4 of what It was and always had been. Inconsistent credit availbility = bad credit
Tried to use the app to make a one time payment. I changed the amount to $100. When I submitted the payment the app changed it to the entire balanced owed. This will cause my bank to charge me for a returned payment. I called upgrade early in the morning before my bank opened and they told me there was nothing they could do, which doesn't seem right. Because of the poor design of the app I will be charged $30. It is also difficult to look at your recent activity if it is a few weeks old.
Dirtbags! I first got the credit account, used the credit, paid the entire thing off the next month. They rewarded me being a good customer by lowering my credit limit by half. Also takes way over 10 days to have your payments applied to your accounts. They hold on to your money as long as they can. If you qualify for any of their bonuses, make sure you hound them the moment you qualify for it, otherwise they won't give it to you and requires hours of calls and emails to get your promised money
This app is great as long as you only want to see your activity. If you are hoping to be able to pay off your total balance, forget it! The app does NOT calculate in the interest due. And, not only does it NOT do that, you'll wind up paying three times...the balance you assume is the correct total balance, then the interest which is also not correct, then a penny! Yep, the interest is off by 1 penny. This is a fact related to me by a customer service rep after playing this game for two months.
BEWARE of this Card!!! It's really not a credit card like it says it supposed to. Similar to what everyone else says, it a loan and as soon as you use it, whatever balance you have in it starts accruing interest. Unlike a credit card, you get charged interest at the end of your cycle date. I would not recommend this credit card(loan card) to anyone unless you're really getting for solely a loan.
Buyer beware! They say they "are here to help" but they play with your credit limit at their discretion. I have had zero late payments and everytime I send them a bigger than normal payment, they not only take weeks to apply it, but charge me interest on that time! I gave them a $1500 payment, after 2 weeks it was applied to my account! Then they "flagged" the payment suspicious activity and reduced my line of credit to what remaining balance was, I had zero credit available after paying $1500!
Horrible. Tried signing into the mobile app and keep getting a message saying "failed to retrieve master line", whatever that means. Went to the website, tried logging in, same thing. This is absolutely rediculous. I wish I had seen the reviews on here before applying for this card. The app and website suck. Finally had to call customer service just to make a payment. At least the customer service rep I spoke with was extremely friendly. I guess I'll just have to start calling in my payments.
I don't recommend this card! No matter how much you pay, minimum payments will only go up not down. I haven't used this card in months now, yet my minimum payments keep increasing. I usually pay double or more the minimum payment, but it seems the more you pay the more the minimum goes up not down. If you call them, they will just keep transferring you to people who all say the same unhelpful things. I am just going to pay this one off & cut it up.
Super shady, lots of issues with the company. App works fine, but wouldn't recommend dealing with this company. Many times I've suddenly been notified I'm delinquent on my account, despite having just made the automatic payment, sometimes for one cent. This month the payment got pulled from my primary account twice, two days apart, for the exact same amount.
Predatory lending app. Won't let me pay my monthly payment early, you have to call to change the settings, but can't ever get through. I can't make changes to my personal information in-app, you have to call in for that. I'm on a business trip and you guys have locked my card, and of course, there's nobody on your phones now. I wish I had never used this terrible company.
Terrible loan company pretending to be a credit card company! Be careful when signing your account, and read the fine print before accepting anything. I signed up for a credit card and essentially got a loan with a credit card attached to it. I am able to use it like a normal credit card, but my monthly payment keeps creeping upward every month, as if I have less time to pay off my balance (like a loan). I don't know if I just got suckered in, but I want out.
Don't do it!! Have been using an upgrade card for 2 years now, and all of a sudden they dropped my credit limit without any warning and after my auto payment went through the app tells me I have no available credit despite the card not being maxed out. Also advertises you get cash back on purchases, in 2 years have never earned any cash back. Paying this card off asap and closing the account.
Decent overall. The huge detractor for the app is the payment system. I like to make weekly payments throughout the month equaling a lot more than the monthly bill. I do so because of my other bills and budget. This app will not allow any payment less than the minimum amount due at a time, and STILL does the automatic deduction of the billed amount, even if you paid the full amount a 2 or 3 days earlier. Upgrade needs to figure out how to allow payments less than the minimum amount like others
