This use to be a fantastic app. Not sure why it has been so terrible lately! Logins and passwords keep rejecting out, even when there's no changes, or it'll login online but not the app. neither are working currently but the app was just working less than 5 minutes ago! please fix this!
Uuuuuugh! Why did they mess with it!? Before the last update (just a few days ago) it was a user-friendly layout and easily accessible....now it seems archaic in comparison. Way more cumbersome to use. In addition, keeps telling me all my subscriptions are expired every time I log in, yet on the next page saying it's all in date. Slow to load, too. This is EXTREMELY frustrating, especially since I pay a LOT for this product and rely on it every day for quick, accurate, up to date info.
It doesn't download interactions dictionary. I click download and it just blinks once and never downloads.
keeps asking to update the app when there is nothing to update! App keeps kicking me out asking for an update. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail:(
I used to love this program especially for the 5 min clinic. Now I can barely type in the search bar without the program freezing. The programmers really fudged up a great program. I feel ripped off... UPDATE 1/6/2022: They fixed the issues mentioned. Yet, when I resubscribed for this yr I found they removed some of those useful features & placed it in their expensive "Premium package." I think we should be able to purchase some of those options...
I've been using Lexi-Comp since 2008. It WAS a wonderful app. Now, I continuously have problems!! The interactions database is a joke. Half the time when I try to use it, it tells me to download data. Guess what? I've already downloaded, redownloaded, and downloaded some more. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app dozens of times. It'll work for a few weeks, then stop again. It's extremely frustrating to spend hundreds of dollars on something and have it fail when it matters most.
This app was designed by robotic imbeciles with ZERO human sense! After my subscription had expired, I could not find any way to renew it from within the app. Instead, it tells me to go to the Lexicomp website to do so. But the website provides no easy, immediate, straightforward, and common sensical way to retrieve forgotten logins and passwords. Shouldn't renewing a subscription be the most basic and most obvious element to include in the app itself? I'm done with your nonsense! Dumbasses!
I've been using and paying for this app since it was Lexicomp installed on my Palm Pilot. It used to be great. Searches were faster, I could jump to a specific category (like mech. of action) easily, could change the priority of information categories, and could eliminate databases I didn't need (even though I usually paid for the complete suite). I am not going to renew. It's too slow, too hard to navigate to what I need, and I can't eliminate non-U.S. drugs. I'm very dissatisfied for the $$$.
Was very great until this new design came out... when i get to the multinational drug list, it keeps loading for a while. In a middle of a round or emergency situation, this is frustrating. My device is galaxy a70 and the latency is only in that list. Before the new version, it was superfast. We dont care the fancy look, yet we care to take our decisions as fast as possible.
love lexicomp but the app does not currently work. keeps saying update version but there is no update. I just installed it
Ever since the updates have been switched from manual to auto, the app doesn't work. Updates never cease and work in the background and the process sucks up the phone battery. I still have 2 more months of paid subscription, but can't use the app! Have uninstalled the app due to this horrible update. Till the time updates were manually done, the app was fantastic and the best. Not anymore, sadly! Not renewing my subscription till this is fixed.
As of app version 7.5.3, the app asks for automatic update preferences every time the app is opened. Even after you answer WiFi or WiFi and Data. Even after you answer select content or download all. The app constantly asks the same question over and over. Does anyone at Lexicomp test out the app before releasing the update. Two different Samsung phones with the same result.
What is wrong with the alpha sort on the drug monographs? It no longer works for some drugs, the list is blank! This concern was brought up by another reviewer who was told to update the app to get a fix for this. How? The last reported update was in Dec. And this issue just started happening.
I've been paying for this app for several years. I rely on it to get me information quickly. Lately it has been absolutely worthless. Clicking on a monograph category from the jump menu does not take you to the desired section, which means you just have to scroll to the section you want. I probably will not renew my subscription.
It never fails. Go to a trauma, code, or as in the case today -- polytrauma -- and Lexi will choose the absolute worst time to say "trissel IV comparability data required" or other random library required. On p7p, everything updated. App set to update on wifi + data. I have gone back and forth with support numerous times. They assure me the problem has been fixed. It's a fine app when it works, but COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE for professionals that attend codes or traumas. Tired of the excuses.
Every month or so I get an error saying the app is updating but with no progress shown despite the process running for hours and the latest intentional update having occured months ago. App won't work during this time. Once it does, it's the same version as before so I know it wasn't actually updating.
I've used this app for over 10 years. And for a long time it was the absolute best drug reference and honestly it may still be. But after a recent update about a month ago I noticed that it's drastically slower. The reason I like this app is because it is quick and maintains an offline database. Sometimes you need to get answers fast on the job. It now takes an absolutely incredible amount of time to pull up drug information. After updating it still takes a mind-bogglingly long time to work.
App crashes everytime I open it. I installed and reinstalled and it's still crashing. Useless. Edit: apparently I needed to update my mobile access. Nothing in the error message mentioned that. Developers need to make error message more clear. Also never got an email informing me my mobile access was expiring.
If only it didn't require additional mobile subscription. I have access to UpToDate mobile app and works fine but it needs internet connection which is not always accessable. If lexicomp was a database of UpToDate (which I got access to), why the need to pay extra to get the offline version? It should be a feature from UpToDate subscription. I just don't understand. Anyway, I tried the app for a time, and it is great to access data on-the-go (Drug info, interactions, medical calculators, etc)
Latest update has made search function very slow. Update 5/2025. Each major "upgrade" seems to make search function worse. It seems a company this large should be able to develop a reasonably functional android app. Pathetically slow, despite having database downloaded on device. I have uninstalled and reinstalled.
